Week 32 Lemon Lolly - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hi everyone, and welcome to week 32 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our colour is called Lemon Lolly, it's a really pretty yellow, soft and great for young and old. I decided I wanted to have another play with the Latte Love bundle. This is an online exclusive and I really do love this set.

I started with a Lemon Lolly card base and added the Pecan Pie layer, then the DSP from the Latte Love DSP. I stamped directly onto the DSP using Early Espresso ink. I then cut out a cup from the DSP and also cut out the coffee post using the dies. I put black coffee in the pot and added a Gold lid and handle to the pot. Placing them onto the front of the card on an angle. I finished off the front with some of the Swirl dot from the same set.

I think the gold lid and handle make the pot look a bit more up market. What do you think?

For my insert I cut some more cups and glues them to my Basic White layer added some steam and coffee stain. I mounted this onto another layer of Pecan Pie and finished it off with my message.

All the items for this project can be found either online or in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product, please feel free to contact me. At this stage I have no idea who will get this card.

Week 26 Garden Green - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 26 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Garden Green, and as green is my favourite colour I didn't have any trouble coming up with a card in this colour. So my card is a take on an old fancy fold, but I cut the front away and added a centre piece. I used the Season of Green and Gold DSP along with Gold mirror card on a Garden Green card base.

I stamped the sentiment tag with Gold Embossing powder and cut it out using the dies from the Peaceful Seasons Bundle. I then added a little piece of gold ribbon from my stash and added the gold embellishments.

I also added the gold layer and Basic white to the inside of the card. Stamping in Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam.

All the items used in this card card from the online exclusives except the Garden Green Card that can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this project or the product used please feel free to contact me.

Week 19 Copper Clay - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and Welcome to the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring the colour Called Copper Clay. This is a lovely rich clay colour, and really great for men's cards. So this week I have a fancy fold called a Flip Card and I have used the bundle called Tune In. This is a really cute bundle with an old style TV set with antenna's and some really great sentiments.

So I started my card with a Copper Clay base and added an Early Espresso layer and then some DSP from the Take to the Sky Suite. I then added the TV set that I cut out in Early Espresso. I then added the screen in Basic White and stamped it with my Message. I added Gold knobs and speaker panel and the Silver antenna and sound accents to finish off the front of the card. When you flip the card using the pull tab at the bottom you get to the next section of the card.

Here you get 2 more message sections. So I added the words New Flash at the top with more of the sound accents and layers this onto some more Early Espresso. Then at the bottom I added the Happy Birthday from the Tune In bundle. I also added a stand to the back of the card so that it stands on it's own, as you all know I don't like a card that can't stand on it's own. (sorry no photo of that).

As you can see this card stands and you can view it open or closed. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the fancy fold please feel free to contact me.

Week 42 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Shaded Spruce

Hello and Welcome to week 42 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we have Shaded Spruce as our colour. This is a very dark rich green colour and part of the Regals Collection. You can find Card Stock, Ink Pad, Refil and Blends in this colour as well as DSP. Being as green is my favourite colour I didn't have much trouble coming up with some thing. Unsure we you call this design, but I have seen it done several times and thought I would like to have a try. So here is my version of the slanted fronted card.

Using Shaded Spruce as my base card I added a Gold Foil Layer and then DSP from the Expressions in Ink collection. I then made a Belly Band and used the Layering Circles to cut out a large Scalloped Circle. I stamped the large Flower image from the Artisically Inked Bundle and them cut it out with the dies. mounting this on to the gold Foil Circle I added a few of the leave to finish off the belly Band. I place my sentiment onto a piece of Basic White card with more Gold Foil behind it. I added a few or the Iridescent Rhinestones to finish off the front of the card.

I can't believe how easy this card is to make and it looks so effective cut on these angles. I think I will have to do a tutorial on this one. As always my insert is very plain (I prefer them that way).

Stamping in Shaded Spruce and then using the blending brushes to soften the edges. All the items used in this project can be found in the Annual 2021-2022 Catalogue. If you would like more information about this project or you would like to purchase the supplies used please feel free to give me a Call, email or PM, so that I might help you.

Week 32 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Old Olive

Hi Everyone, How are we all doing? we are now at week 32 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop and this week our colur is Old Olive. Just as the name says it's really a lovely Olive Green colour.  As green is my favourite colour I didn't have much trouble coming up with a card this week. I wanted to use one of the new stamp sets from the Jan-June Mini Catalogue and decided on the Eden's Garden set.

I teamed my Old Olive with Rich Razzleberry as I thought they went together pretty well. So I started with an Old Olive card base and added a Rich Razzleberry layer then I layed a piece of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon on I then place a Gold Foil layer over this. Before Stamping my leaves from the Eden's Garden stamp set in Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. I then used my Blening Brush to add extra colour over the stamped images. Finishing off with my sentiment stamped using Memento ink and then a few Gold Metallic Pearls. I placed Dimensionals of that back of the Gold Fold to give this layer some height.

The inside of my card reflex the outside as I stamped some more leaves and then coloured over them. This is such a lovely set and I know I will get plenty of use out of it. If you would like to purchase this set, which also comes with some beautiful dies in a bundle or any of the other product I have used in this project please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you.

Week 3 - Colour Creations Blog Hop - Basic Gray

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 3 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week our colour is Basic Gray. Very interesting colour not one I am keen on I find it a little drab for my taste. But all the same I like a challenge and so I decided I would hop along with week.

My card is a fancy fold, I don't know what others call it but I call it a Butterfly wings style card as you can see by the photo.

It's a 51/2 inch square card. So I started with a Basic Gray base and added my layers using the Gold Foil Sheet and then the Simply Elegant DSP from the New Annual Catalogue. After cutting my wings and crossing them over the card I added a Square Vellum Doily then my Poppies I stamped my Happy Birthday from the same set and cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I layered these onto the front of the card using dimensionals and finished off with the Silver Metallic Pearls. For my insert I also layered the Gold Foil and Simply Elegant DSP before added the largest of the layering circles for my writing panel in both scalloped and plain, I stamped my sentiment and some more poppies that I coloured using my Write Marker pens. All of my Stamping was done in Basic Gray ink so that it blended.

All of the Items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of the items used please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 37 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Pretty Peacock the is one of the 2019 - 2021 in colors and will be retiring in a few short weeks time :(
I have chosen to make a Get-well card for my mum as she is in hospital after breaking her hip last week. She has had to have a hip replacement and will be in hospital for about 6 weeks in all. So when I go and visit her next I will take this card and a lovely bunch of flowers to her.

I started my card with a Pear Pizzazz card base and added the Pretty Peacock layer, I then used to So Sentimental bundle to cut out the scalloped rectangle and then added the DSP from the Forever Fern range. I placed all of this onto dimensionals and then added the gold foil strip of the sentiment to sit on. I also used the gold fern specialty paper for the lovely fern in the left-hand top corner and then added some gold enamel dots to finish off the front.

My insert is very simple I used the forever fern stamp set along with the Hotdogs stamp set for my message and leaves. the words of Encouragement  I thought were very fitting for my mum.

Week 29 Colour Creations Showcase - Mossy Meadow

 Week 29 Mossy Meadow

Welcome to Week 29 of the Colour Creations Showcase, and our last Showcase for 2020 BUT we will be back on January 6th 2021 to continue through the colours.
This week our colour is Mossy Meadow another lovely Green this is a very dark green so I though I would showcase if using Silver and Gold foil sheet. I have chosen once again to make a Christmas Card and this is the last one for the year as I have now finished all my Christmas Card making. I have used a few bundles to make this card starting with the Arrange a Wreath Bundle in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and the Poinsettia Petals Bundle along with the Peace & Joy Bundle from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue (that now has only 19 days left to run) from the date of this blog.

Starting off with a Mossy Meadow Card Base and adding a Gold Foil sheet layer and then another Mossy Meadow Layer. I then added a Circle layer in Crumb Cake for my Wreath to lay on as it was to dark to see. I also cut of the holly leaves in Granny Apple Green to lift the colour palette and then punched out 6 berries from Real Red using my 1/2 inch circle punch. I used the Peace & Joy bundle for my sentiment that I die cut in silver and Red. I placed my Berries and Sentiment on with dimensionals. The only thing I wish I had of done is emboss my top Mossy Meadow layer but too late now.

My insert is very plain as I am not a big fan of fancy inserts, so just a whisper white layer with a few extra holly leaves and sentiment. All of the items used in this project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue or the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Week 23 - Colour Creations Showcase - Magenta Madness

 Week 23 Magenta Madness

Hello everyone, and welcome to week 23 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Magenta Madness this is one of the 2020-2022 in colors and I love how bright it is.
I did find it hard to make a card with this colour all the same as I wanted to make something elegant and sassy. So I started with a Pretty Peacock card base and then added a Gold Foil Layer before adding another Pretty Peacock layer, I then added a Forever Gold Laser-cut layer. After all the layers I stamped the flower from the Floral Essence Stamp Set onto Magenta Madness card stock using matching ink for the tone on tone look. I then stamped the same image onto some Vellum in the magenta madness ink as well. I then punched out the flowers and layered them together adding a dimensional to the back to attach it to the card front. I also stamped 2 leaves from the Celebrate Sunflowers in Garden Green and vellum and attached these also. I then cut out some of the other leave sprigs from the sunflower set and die cut them out in Silver Foil. I then stamped Happy Birthday onto some whisper white card and layered with magenta madness and add 2 small flowers Arrange a Wreath die set.

For my insert I Just added Best Wishes and bow from the Arrange a Wreath set as well, I then stamped a small piece of Magenta Madness card with the same flower in matching ink. Week 19 - Colour Creations Showcase - Granny Apple Green

 Week 19 Granny Apple Green

Hi Everyone and Welcome to week 19 of the colour creations Showcase from the Art with Heart Team Australia. This week our colour is Granny Apple Green, and as Green is my favourite colour I really had fun making this card.
I chose the Tree Angle Stamp Set from the Aug-Sept 2020 Mini Catalogue and the Dies from The Right Triangle Bundle from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.
I started with a Slim Line card in Whisper White and then added a Granny Apple Green Layer. My next layer was White again and I used my Sponge Brayer and Granny Apple Green ink for the bottom half of the card and Soft Sea Foam for the top half. I then stamped the snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes Bundle in Balmy Blue. I Stamped a variety of the Trees onto white card. I also stamped the trunk of the tree and then placed them onto the front of the card. I add some gold stars to the top of the trees to finish them off.  I added my Sentiment to the top and a Sliver Snowflake then a few Wonderful Gems just of finishing touches.

My insert was layered the same as the front of the card I also stamped some snowflakes in the top left-hand corner and one of the Tree Angle Trees down the bottom. All my Sentiment Stamping Front and Insert were stamped in Garden Green.

https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=5498
Hi Everyone, and welcome to week 12 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Crumb Cake this is part of the Neutrals collection and a lovely light brownish colour, just like cake batter.
This week my card has very muted colours as I used the water colour pencils, I started my card using a Crumb Cake base and add a Gold foil layer I than stamped my image using gold embossing powder and heat set this before colouring in the image with the pencils.
I then stamped the butterfly duet using the versa mark and gold embossing powder, and attached the butterflies.  I also stamped my sentiment tag the same way. I then added Champagne gems to the middle of the flowers to finish off the front of the card.

For my insert I Used a whisper white card and a strip of the gold foil on the left-hand side, I then stamped my just saying hello and a daisy using Crumb Cake ink. I really enjoyed using the Ornate Style stamp set and water colour pencils as I haven't used them very much at all.

Week 6 Colour Creations Showcase - Bumble Bee

Week 6 Colour Creations Showcase - Bumble Bee

https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=5307
Well Hello to everyone and I hope it's been a good week. Here we are with week 6 of the 2020-2021 Colour Creations Showcase and as we are going through the colours in Alphabetical order we are now at Bumble Bee. This is one of the new In Colors for 2020-2022 and I just love the rich golden yellow that this colour brings to the Stampin' Up! range.

I have chosen to do some tone on tone stamping to take advantage to this beautiful colour and I chose the lovely Celebrate Sunflower stamp set and dies to create my card.

So I started with a Bumble Bee card base and added a Whisper White layer and then stamped the large sunflower onto the Bumble Bee Layer and then added this to the front of the card. I then die cut out the beautiful filigree sunflower in Gold foil sheet and place this onto so dimensionals, I also die cut 2 green leaves and glued them in place.
I stamped my Sentiment using Early Espresso and then sponged around the edge. I placed a flagged end banner behind to finish it off.

My inside of the card I kept simple by stamping the large sunflower using Bumble Bee ink I only wanted part of the flowers so stamping in 2 opposite corners worked well. My words I stamped in Early Espresso to match the front of the card.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of the products used here please give me a call, email or PM me.

Colour Creations Showcase - Week 3 Bermuda Bay

https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=5155

Hi Everyone, and welcome to week 3 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Showcase.  As you know we are going through the colours in Alphabetical order so this week we have Bermuda Bay What a lovely colour this is, and I don't use it that much that I only had one full A4 sheet left. Just enough for this project.
I have made 2 card the same but different.

I started by stamping the images from the "A Good Man" and "Beautiful Moments" set onto Whisper White Card making it look like one Picture (well I hope so to everyone else) and then coloured one of the picture using the blender pens and the other using the Water Painter brush and my ink pads. The one on the left is with Blender Pens.
I then layered them onto one of the frames from the Ornate Garden Suite in the Bermuda Bay and then on to Gold and Silver Foil Sheet using another of the frames. before placing them onto the front of a White card base.
I stamped my sentiment from the same set and added this to the bottom.

My insert for my card is a layer of Bermuda Bay and white and the little butterflies and sentiment are from the Beautiful Moments set and coloured using the blender pens.
All the items used in these project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any of these products or would like more information on them please give me a Call, email or PM. I will be happy to help you.
Why not head over to Catherine's Page here-: so that you can see all the other lovely projects made using this weeks colour "Bermuda Bay"
Thanks You and Bye for Now........Hugs Diane

Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 10

Hi Everyone, and welcome to week 10 of the Heart of Christmas 2019. We have had a beautiful projects and lots of inspiration.
This week I have another Fancy Fold card this one is called a Buckle Card and I think it's just a really lovely style of card......I hope you all like it as well.

I have used my favourite set from this Christmas Season the Christmas Gleaming and Brightly Gleaming DSP I am also using The Greatest Part of Christmas Hostess stamp set for my greeting.
I started with a Very Vanilla card base and the used Night of Navy and some Gold Foil Sheet. I did this card in a Crafting Afternoon on the weekend of the Bathurst racing and it went down a real treat.
This was not my Idea I have seen this made before but it was in American sizing so I set about changing the measurement and this is my version.

When the card is open you can see the slot used to hold the belt part of the card but closed it is hidden behind the ovals.
The inside of the card has a lovely space to write your message and the whole card lays flat for postage (a bonus) I finished off the front of the card using the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots in the red and I this they work really well with the card. All the items used in this project can be found the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue and the 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in this project please give me a call, email or PM me so that I can help you with your purchase.
To see the rest of the beautiful projects for week 10 please head over to Claire's Page here-:
