Week 29 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Merry Merlot

Hello and Welcome to week 29 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is called Merry Merlot. A lovely dark red wine colour. I was having trouble coming up with a design for my card so I decided I would do my go-to layout.

So starting with a Merry Merlot card base I added a Basic White layer that I stamped using the Painted Poppies stamp set. I stamped these along the bottom and the top of the white layer. I then added another Merry Merlot layer and then my DSP from the Lights Aglow. I know that the DSP is Cherry Cobbler but I thought it went really well. I then cut out my Poppies using the coordinating dies Using both Merry Merlot and Cherry Cobbler. Then added my sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I embossed this in gold, though the photo really doesn't do it justice. The oval and the ribbon ends are from the He's all That bundle. Lastly I added some Champagne Rhinestone.

I love this layout as it's very effective and really easy when you need that quick card but you want it to look special. My insert I stamped using Merry Merlot ink and added my message and another row of the poppies along the bottom.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the 2022 June-Dec Mini Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any of all of these product, or you would like to know more about this design please feel free to contact me either via, email, PM or Phone.

Week 18 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Early Espresso

Hi Everyone, Welcome to week 18 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop. We are featuring the Colour Early Espresso today and I love this colour its a beautiful dark brown. So I have chosen to make a Faux Centre Stepper Card. I am using the beautiful Abigail Rose DSP and the matching Cottage Rose Bundle.

I started with an Early Espresso card Base and added Basic White layers before the Abigail Rose DSP. I then stamped a Flower and Leaves from the matching stamped set using Early Espresso ink and coloured using the Ivory Blends. I then used the Lifter to lighten the colour. Adding these to the front of the card along with my Sentiment using the Stylish Shape dies. and finishing off this Champagne Rhinestones.

The inside of my card I layered my Basic White onto some Crumb Cake and stamped my sentiment and some more leave. Colouring the leaves using the same technique as I did for the flower and leaves on the front of the card.

All the items used in this project can be found the the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these item or would like to purchased them please feel free to give me a Call, Email or PM so that I can help you.

Week 38 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Pumpkin Pie

Hi and welcome to week 38 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our colour is Pumpkin Pie, a lovely Orange colour and my 2nd favourite colour. This colour is part of the Regals collection and also has Card Stock, Classic ink Pad, Refill and Blends that all match. You will also find some beautiful Designer Series Paper that co-ordinates, called Flowering Fields. This can be found in the 2022 Mini Catalogue. This is what I have used for my projects for this week.

So this card was inspired by Linda Heller, but I loved the simplicity of the design and this is my version. I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base and added a Basic Black layer, I then added my DSP that I cut into 2 pieces turning the middle one over to reveal the other side. I layered this onto my Basic Black layer. I then cut a strip of Vellum and flag tailed the end. I attached this to the front of the card using glue dots.

With the Vellum in place I than made up one of the tulip flowers from the Flowering Tulips Bundle and attached this to the Vellum. I stamped my sentiment tag from the same bundle and cut it out using the layering circles, finishing off the front with some Champagne Rhinestones..

Keeping my insert simple I just layered Basic Black and Basic White together and stamped my message. I thought that the outside of the card said everything I wanted to say. No need for any more.
The flowering Tulips Bundle and DSP can be found in the 2022 Mini Catalogue, all the card stock, ink and rhinestones are in the 2021-2022  Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product, or would like to purchase them please feel free to either PM, Call or Email me so that I can help you.

Week 35 - Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Petal Pink

Hello and Welcome to week 35 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring the Colour Called Petal Pink. This colour is part of the Subtles collection and is (to me) more of an Orangy Pink. Not one of my favourites. But all the same it's great to make something that puts you out of your comfort zone. I decided I wanted to have a go at the Half Star Card so here is my version.

I started with a Petal Pink card base and added a Basic White layer before the DSP from the Friendly Hello Sale-A-Bration set. Very pretty papers.  I then stamped the Bird image from the matching stamp set, and coloured it using my blend pens. I cut out the image using the layering circles and mounted it to the front of the card. I finished off the front using Champagne Rhinestones.

This is the card from the side angle so that you can see the layers. Below is a photo of the card from the top so that you can see the Half Star feature.

This is easier to see when you have the card standing on a shelf. The writing panel is on the back of the card. This I stamped from the same Friendly Hello Stamp set and coloured in the flowers using the Petal Pink Blend pens in both light and dark.

The Friendly Hello Stamp Set and DSP are available until the 28th February 2022 as a Sale-A-Bration Item for FREE if you spend $180AU in products from the Mini and or Annual Current Catalogues.  The Card stock and layering circles are in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about Sale-A-Bration or you would like to purchase any or all of these product please feel free to give me a call, email or PM me so that I can help you.

Week 44 Sahara Sand - Colour Creations Showcase

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 44 of the Colour Creations Showcase. We are now back to the S's after a jump last week to get in the retiring colour. We have Sahara Sand. Not sure about this colour and I don't use it very much, I even had to re-ink my pad as it had gone dry. So this week I was challenged, but happy with my card.

I started with a white card base and added the Sahara Sand layer that I embossed using the Subtle Folder (I'm Sorry to see this folder retiring 😢) I then added a white layer over the top that I cut out a partial circle and stamped around the edge of using the Forever Fern Stamp Set and Sahara Sand and Soft Suede ink. I then used my blending brush to take the white edge off of the inside of the circle with Soft Suede ink pad. I mounted this onto the front of the card using dimensionals. To finish off the front I cut 3 small strips in Early Espresso, Crumb Card and White flagged one ends of 2 of them and stamped on the white one. I then layered them together adding dimensionals to the back and mounting them inside the circle. I added 3 Champagne gems and a piece of ribbon. I thought this card looked very elegant.

I kept the inside very plain with no words.

But I did add the layers and stamp the ferns using the Sahara Sand. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and Carrying over into the New 2021-2022 Annual catalogue that commences on the 4th May 2021. If you would like the purchase any or all of the product used in this project please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Week 7 Colour Creations Showcase - Cajun Craze

Week 7 - Cajun Craze

https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=5343

Hello and welcome to week 7 of the "Art with Heart" Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Cajun Craze, this is a very rich golden brown colour and part of the Regals collection.
This week I thought I would do something a little different so I decided to create a small gift box and matching Thank You card.

Using only Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card stock. My little box is 4 x 3 inches (7.6 x 10.2)cm in size and the card is the same size. I used the dies from the So Sentimental bundle along with the dies from the Ornate Garden bundle to create the box and Card. and finished the top of the box off with a little white ribbon that I coloured using the Ivory Blender pen. the champagne Rhinestones just set off the top of the card as well as show where to open the box.

Once you open the box you can see that it will hold 4 small chocolate just nicely. I think this would make a lovely little gift set for someone who you wish to thank or is feeling a little under the weather.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue (except for the Chocolate) if you would like to purchase these product please give me a call email or PM me so that I might help you with your purchase.
Now to catch up with all the other beautiful Cajun Craze projects in this weeks Showcase please head over to Catherine's Page Here-:
Have a great week........
