Week 2, 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Copper Clay

Week 2, 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop. Copper Clay 2023-2025 Incolor.

Hello and Welcome to week 2 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Copper Clay another of the lovely 2023-25 Incolors. This one I like a lot. It's a beautiful brown and I can see this one being used quite a bit by me.

I thought I would try a technique I have never done before called Retiform, I must admit I was happy with this design, it really is a bit different.

I started with a Copper Clay card base and added a Basic White layer. then I cut another layer in Basic White and using a black pen I drew in the lines that I wanted to stamp my images into. I stamped my images from the In the Moment and Beside Me Stamp sets.Colouring them all in using my marker pens. I then used a Dauber and the Copper Clay ink pad to define each area. Stamping my sentiment into the last section. I then glued this to my Basic White layer and on to the front of the card, finishing off with the Incolour Glossy Dots.

I wanted to carry the theme over to the inside of the card so I sectioned off one corner and stamped an image here are coloured and defined as before. Also going around the edge of the whole piece of Basic White Card. I stamped my message using the Copper Clay ink. I think this is an amazingly effective design.

All the items used in this project are from the current 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the items used please feel free to contact me either by Email, Phone or PM. So that I might help you with information or purchase of products.

Colour Creations - Smoky Slate

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3701

Hello Everyone, how are we all doing this week?
We have a lovely colour for everyone this week called Smoky Slate, what a lovely warm gray colour this is. I have chosen to make a male card this week as I think this Colour and the stamp set I have chosen go together well.

I started off this a Smoky Slate card base and added a Coastal Cabana square topped with whisper White. I used my Stamparatus  to stamp my hats and fish hooks from the Best Catch Bundle and coloured them in using the marker pens. I stamped them and the Fish and Baskets using the Smoky Slate ink I then cut out the Fish and Baskets before mounting them onto the front of the card. I also stamped the card base using the crackle paint stamp and Smoky Slate ink. I do love the effect from this stamp. I sponged the front and the insert of the card with Smoky Slate ink to give the look of being a bit dirty.  I also cutout some of the small fishes using the dies.

I stamped the Fisherman and sentiment and then grouped the cutout fish together and mounted this onto another Coastal Cabana layer before gluing to the inside of the card. I'm so glad that this set is carrying over from the Occasions Catalogue as I really love making men's cards.
All the items used in the project can be found in the 2018-2019 and the 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue or the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. if you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in this project please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Colour Creations - Mango Melody

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-27-mango-melody/

Hi Everyone, Here we are at week 27 of the colour creations hop. This week the colour is Mango Melody, what a lovely colour even though I don't like mango's. I have made this card for my friend Frances whose Birthday in on the 17th December, and as she loves flower and has such a green thumb I thought she would like this one.

I decided to start with a Basic Gray card base and added the Slate Gray as my first layer I then added 3 more layers to the front of the card in Copper Glimmer paper, Mango Melody and Vellum. I used the Beautiful Day Stamp set and stamped the flower using versa mark and Silver Embossing powder. Then coloured in the flower using the Mango Melody Blender pens. I placed the Vellum layer of the Mango Melody layer using glue dots and place the 3 layers on an angle to add to the feature. I placed the faceted gems over where the glue dot were so that you can't see them, and stamped the Happy Birthday on the gray layer using Basic Gray ink.

For my insert I used Whisper White and stamped the flower again along with my sentiment and then used my marker pens to colour in the flower. I added the strip of glimmer paper to finish it off.
All the items used in the project can be found in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue Except for the Copper Glimmer Paper that is found in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue that ends on the 2nd January 2019. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please phone or email me so that I can help you.

Marker Solution

Hi Everyone,

As a fairly new Hobby Demonstrator I could not afford to purchase all of the Marker pen collections in the carry case. So I had to purchase them 1 pack at a time. But the horrible acetate container that they come in does last very long when you are putting the pens in and out. So I decided to purchase the Standard cases 119105 from the Stampin' Up! catalogue to keep them in. I placed a piece of D.S.P. in the sleeve and printed out a list of colors for the pens to glue on the inside of the case. I also cut the front off of the acetate sleeve and placed this in the front of the case so I know at a glance which set is which. This is so much easier and user friendly. Hope this Idea helps someone.
