Week 23 Early Espresso - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 23 of the colour creations Blog-Hop.  This week we have a really lovely colour for you, it's Early Espresso. I like it, it's a really lovely dark brown and a great colour to work with.

I thought I would do a Christmas card using the Reindeer Fun bundle. So I started by using the Early Espresso for my card base and added some DSP from the same bundle. I then added another layer of Early Espresso and then Basic White. I stamped in Early Espresso and also Garden Green and Real Red. I cut out the reindeer head and glued the 3 pieces together and then glued this to the front of the card. I added the bells around his neck. Finishing off the front with some of the gold embellishments.

This is a Ribbon Pull Card so when you pull on the ribbon at the top the insert will be lifted up by the ribbon. As you can see from the next photo.

So you can write your message on the inside of the card. (That is really a pocket). Also as you all know me I don't like cards that don't stand on their own so there is a stand on the back.

It will stand with the insert popped up as well as down so it is very stable. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue and the Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the items used please feel free to contact me.

Week 19 Copper Clay - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and Welcome to the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring the colour Called Copper Clay. This is a lovely rich clay colour, and really great for men's cards. So this week I have a fancy fold called a Flip Card and I have used the bundle called Tune In. This is a really cute bundle with an old style TV set with antenna's and some really great sentiments.

So I started my card with a Copper Clay base and added an Early Espresso layer and then some DSP from the Take to the Sky Suite. I then added the TV set that I cut out in Early Espresso. I then added the screen in Basic White and stamped it with my Message. I added Gold knobs and speaker panel and the Silver antenna and sound accents to finish off the front of the card. When you flip the card using the pull tab at the bottom you get to the next section of the card.

Here you get 2 more message sections. So I added the words New Flash at the top with more of the sound accents and layers this onto some more Early Espresso. Then at the bottom I added the Happy Birthday from the Tune In bundle. I also added a stand to the back of the card so that it stands on it's own, as you all know I don't like a card that can't stand on it's own. (sorry no photo of that).

As you can see this card stands and you can view it open or closed. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the fancy fold please feel free to contact me.

Week 6 - Basic Beige Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 6 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog-Hop. we are featuring a 6th new colour to the pallet this year and it's called Basic Beige. It's not replacing any of the other Basic colours (Black or White) it's an extra.  It's a nice contrast to having Black, White or Vanilla card as sometimes these colours just don't match properly. I have teamed my Basic Beige with the lovely Take to the Sky Suite. I think I will have to buy more DSP for this suite as I have been using it so much. The card I made this week is called a Balcony Card.

I started with a Basic Beige card base and added my layers in Copper Clay and the lovely DSP from the suite. I used this paper with the planes on it so that it looked like the sky was full of planes. on my other 2 players of the balcony I used the paper with clouds. I then stamped the middle sized planes and the largest along with the banner. I attached the planes in the centre with window sheet and used dimensionals for the plane on the front.

when you stand the card up all the planes look as thou they are in mid air and that's the look I was aiming for. I know this one will go down a treat with the person I have in mind to give this to.

I placed writing panels on the back of the card and added some clouds and more planes. With plenty of space to write my message. All the items used in this project are in the current 2024-25 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the products used please feel free to contact me.

Week 22 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Early Espresso

Hello and welcome to week 22 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our feature colour is Early Espresso and I really do like this dark brown colour very much.

I have chosen to make a Christmas card using the lovely Night Divine Bundle from the 2023 Mini Catalogue.  I started with an Early Espresso card base and added a Crumb Cake layer that I embossed using the Snowflake Sky 3d Embossing folder. I then run my White ink pad down the card so that the snow would show up nicely. Then using the  Basic Borders dies I cut out some in Early Espresso and Copper Clay for form the ground. Stamping some background. I then used the dies from the Night Divine bundle to make the nativity scene.

I added a little bit of darkness behind the star for that it looked more like it was shining. I also gold embossed the Joy & Peace in gold Embossing powder.

I placed my camel on the inside of the card as if he is waiting . This is such a lovely bundle I can see plenty of years of use out of this one. All the items used in this project are in either the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue or the 2023 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or would like to purchased them please feel free to contact, via phone, email or PM so that I can help you.

Week 16 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Calypso Coral

Hello and welcome to week 16 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is called Calypso Coral. It's another of the rusty colours but a little lighter then last weeks Cajun Craze. Again its a colour I like very much and is really good for male card. So I have made another male card this week.

I wanted to use one of the Online Exclusive set so I have used the lovely Along for the Ride Bundle. This comes with a love punch for the truck. So I started with a Calypso Coral card base and then taking a Basic White piece of card I embossed using the Metal Plate 3D Folder. I also did the same for the next from layers. I used me Water Painters to splash Calypso Coral ink over the 2 pieces of Basic white to add so interest to the white sections. I stamped my Trucks in Copper Clay for the outline and Calypso Coral for the truck colour. Punching out 3 in total. I then added dimensionals to the trucks as well and the centre front panel. My words are from the Sending Sunshine Bundle.

I didn't add another embellishments to the front of the card as I thought the splashes was enough.

My insert was just another Basic White layer that I stamped the truck moving along the bottom. Added flowers for the rear of one of the truck. Again I stamped with the same colours as the front of the card.    All the items used in the project can be found in the 23-24 Annual Catalogue and the Online Exclusive folder. Just remember the online exclusives are while stocks last. If you would like to know more about these products please feel free to contact me via Phone email or PM.

Week 2, 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Copper Clay

Week 2, 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop. Copper Clay 2023-2025 Incolor.

Hello and Welcome to week 2 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Copper Clay another of the lovely 2023-25 Incolors. This one I like a lot. It's a beautiful brown and I can see this one being used quite a bit by me.

I thought I would try a technique I have never done before called Retiform, I must admit I was happy with this design, it really is a bit different.

I started with a Copper Clay card base and added a Basic White layer. then I cut another layer in Basic White and using a black pen I drew in the lines that I wanted to stamp my images into. I stamped my images from the In the Moment and Beside Me Stamp sets.Colouring them all in using my marker pens. I then used a Dauber and the Copper Clay ink pad to define each area. Stamping my sentiment into the last section. I then glued this to my Basic White layer and on to the front of the card, finishing off with the Incolour Glossy Dots.

I wanted to carry the theme over to the inside of the card so I sectioned off one corner and stamped an image here are coloured and defined as before. Also going around the edge of the whole piece of Basic White Card. I stamped my message using the Copper Clay ink. I think this is an amazingly effective design.

All the items used in this project are from the current 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the items used please feel free to contact me either by Email, Phone or PM. So that I might help you with information or purchase of products.
