Week 15 Cajun Craze - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello everyone, and welcome. I'm back from a lovely weeks holiday in Singapore where the weather was just perfect. So I missed out on making a card for the Bubble Bath week, sorry about that. But here we are at week 15 with Cajun Craze. This is a funny colour to work with for me but I did enjoy making this one. Using some of the nice new products from the annual catalogue.

I started with a Cajun Craze card base and added a Garden Green layer to the front and the some Basic White that I cut into panels and arranged haphazardly. I then had a play with the new Layers of Beauty Masks. I used Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze for my roses and Garden Green and Old Olive for the leaves. They turned out just lovely in these colours.

I then added a sentiment tag along the bottom of the card front, in Cajun Craze and Basic White stamping in Cajun Craze from the Country Birdhouse Stamp set. Finishing off the front of the card with the online exclusive sequins. I kept the inside of my card plain and simple as always, using a Garden Green layer and Basic white. I stamped the small flower from the Layers of Beauty bundle and the Happy Birthday from the Unbounded Love bundle. I coloured the flower using the blends so that it would match the front of the card.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 annual catalogue and the online Exclusive section of the web site. If you would like to know more about these product of any others please feel free to contact me.

Week 43 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Pumpkin Pie

Hello and welcome to the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. we are now getting to the pointy end of the colours with only 7 more weeks to go after this. Our feature colour this week is Pumpkin Pie, a really lovely Orange and part of the Brights collection of colours. So with that in mind I decided I would use some of the lovely Stargazing DSP and the Reach for the Stars Bundle for this weeks project.

I started by using Pumpkin Pie for my card base making a cutaway front card design. I added Basic Black for my 1st layer and then the Stargazing DSP layer to both pieces of the front. I then stamped using my Versa Mark ink and Silver embossed my sentiment onto the DSP and then the astronaut on Black card embossed in silver mounting them with dimensionals. Finishing off the front with a few silver stars.

As the front of the card is cut away you can see some of the inside, so I added the Basic Black and Basic White layers to the inside. Stamping in Black Memento. I kept the inside very plain as I didn't want any stamping to be seen from the outside of the card.

This is such a simple design and yet very effective. I love the way this one turned out as well. All the items used in this weeks project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this card design or the product that I used please feel free to contact me via email or PM.

Week 17 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Cherry Cobbler

Hello and welcome to week 17 of the colour creations blog-hop.  This week we are featuring Cherry Cobbler, this colour is a lovely deep red. it works well with so many different other colours it's hard to say which are the best.  I have used the Supremely Awesome stamp set on page 80 of the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue for my card this week.

I started out with a Cherry Cobbler card base and added a Basic White layer. I then stamped the checkered stamp panel 3 times onto some more Basic white, lining it up as I went. cutting this out I added this to the front of the card. I then stamped the small Pizza pieces along the to and bottom and coloured them in. After I stamped the chief and hand cut him out. I used the die from the He's all that bundle for my sentiment as the scalloped edge looked like a pizza crust. colouring the crust with Pumpkin Pie.

But when you open the card you have this lovely Pop Up.

I stamped the larger pizza pieces onto some more white and coloured them and place them around the edge of the tray. This card you have to write your message on the left-hand side.

I love the way this slides to fold flat for posting. All the items is this project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. I know I am going to get a ton of use out of this set. All of the checkered and word stamping are done in Cherry Cobbler. If you would like to know more about this fancy fold or the product used please feel free to contact me via email, phone or PM.

Week 41 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Pumpkin Pie

Hello and welcome to Week 41 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Called Pumpkin Pie, and as the name suggests this is a pumpkin Orange colour, and part of the Regals Collection. This week I am not making a card, I decided I wanted to make another box. This one is a little different as it's an Easter Carrot Box. Soooooo Cute.

No DSP or layering just a cute little box that will hold about 8-9 Solid Chocolate Easter Eggs. So I started this project with the Pumpkin Pie Card, after cutting it out I stamped all around using a stamp for the Thanks a Bunch Sale-A-Bration Freebie set. I then made the top of the carrot using Granny Apple Green and Garden Green Making a fringed top and rolling it up. I then used the Easter Bunny Bundle to Stamp out the Bunny and coloured using Crumb Cake Blends. I then stamped the Sentiment tag from the same set. I used the Happy Labels Punch. I added a Glossy Dot to finish off.

I have used a Velcro dot to keep the lid on the top closed. This is such a cute little project and I have made a few of these.  All the items used are from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the Jan-April 2023 Mini Catalogue. The only thing that is not from Stampin' Up! is the Velcro Dot and the Chocolates. If you would like to know more about this project, please feel free to contact me via either email, phone or PM.

Week 38 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Pumpkin Pie

Hi and welcome to week 38 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our colour is Pumpkin Pie, a lovely Orange colour and my 2nd favourite colour. This colour is part of the Regals collection and also has Card Stock, Classic ink Pad, Refill and Blends that all match. You will also find some beautiful Designer Series Paper that co-ordinates, called Flowering Fields. This can be found in the 2022 Mini Catalogue. This is what I have used for my projects for this week.

So this card was inspired by Linda Heller, but I loved the simplicity of the design and this is my version. I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base and added a Basic Black layer, I then added my DSP that I cut into 2 pieces turning the middle one over to reveal the other side. I layered this onto my Basic Black layer. I then cut a strip of Vellum and flag tailed the end. I attached this to the front of the card using glue dots.

With the Vellum in place I than made up one of the tulip flowers from the Flowering Tulips Bundle and attached this to the Vellum. I stamped my sentiment tag from the same bundle and cut it out using the layering circles, finishing off the front with some Champagne Rhinestones..

Keeping my insert simple I just layered Basic Black and Basic White together and stamped my message. I thought that the outside of the card said everything I wanted to say. No need for any more.
The flowering Tulips Bundle and DSP can be found in the 2022 Mini Catalogue, all the card stock, ink and rhinestones are in the 2021-2022  Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product, or would like to purchase them please feel free to either PM, Call or Email me so that I can help you.

Week 14 Colour Creations Blog - Hop Crushed Curry

Hello and Welcome to week 14 of the Art with Heart Team Australia Colour Creations Blog-Hop. Each week we showcase a different colour from the Stampin' Up! range, this week is Crushed Curry. This is mustard shade of yellow from the Regals Collection. I was trying to find something a little different and having so much trouble that I ended up CASING a card from another demonstrator, LeeAnn Greff so thank you LeeAnn for the inspiration for this card.

I started my card with a Basic White base and added a Crushed Curry layer followed by another Basic White layer.  On my white layer I place a circle and then using my blending brushes and Crushed Curry ink Pad I coloured the front of my card adding a small amount of Pumpkin Pie ink so that it resembled a setting sun sky.  I then removed the circle to leave the white circle as the moon. I then used Evening Evergreen ink to stamp my Bamboo from the Bamboo Beauty Stamp set on page 49 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.

With my insert I matched this with outside of the card using the same techniques. I thought that leaving the inside white it would look wrong. it's such a simple design that really does give a real punch (in my opinion).

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these product please give me a call, email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase.

We are now at the end of the B's with the last colour being Bumblebee a really lovely Yellow and one of the 2020-2022 Incolors. This week I have created a card using the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp set and Dies featured on Page 17 of the Annual 2021-2022 Catalogue. Week 38 - Colour Creations Showcase - Pumpkin Pie

Hello all and welcome to week 38 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week we have Pumpkin Pie as our colour. It's a beautiful rich Orange and my second favourite colour so I have found this quite easy to work with. I decided to used the Rooted in Nature stamp set and an Autumn theme for my card as we are coming into this time of the year when there are so many lovely colours on the trees.

I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base and added a Pear Pizzazz layer that I run through my embossing machine with the Subtle Embossing Folder, I then added a Pumpkin Pie layer on an angle before stamping a white layer with White Embossing Powder and the leaf stamp. I used Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry ink pads along with my blending brushes to colour the white card to give a lovely muted background. I then stamped my sentiment with White Embossing Powder and heat set it before cutting it out using the die from the So Sentimental bundle. I mounted this to the front of my card using dimensionals and then added 2 Pear Pizzazz and 2 Pumpkin Pie leaves and some Gold Enamel dots.

My insert I used another Pear Pizzazz layer before added the white layer of which I stamped around the edge the same leaves as for the front of the card. I then stamped my sentiment using Pumpkin Pie.  I don't know who will get this card yet but I'm sure I will know the right person when it's time. Colour Creations - Pumpkin Pie

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3565

Hi Everyone,  I hope you have all had a better week than me? I have been home in bed most of the week with a chest infection, but I'm on the mend now a back to work be the time this goes live.

This week our colour is called Pumpkin Pie, its a really lovely orange so deep in colour I love it.

As I had time to what quite a few YOUTUBE videos while home  I saw a card similar to the card that I have made for this weeks Hop but the sizes and the way it was put together were not how I would like so I set about changing it to suit me. This is what I came up with.

I call it a Butterfly Pop-out card as you will see why in the other photos. I love the way this all came together as I was making it I wrote down all the measurements and have written a tutorial that I will be posting in my Facebook group in a week or so. I will also be doing a YOUTUBE video of this card as well so keep and eye out.

I used the DSP from the Painted seasons bundle again this week as I really love it and I used the Pumpkin pie as my layers as well as on my butterflies coloured using the blender pens.

As you can see when you open the card the butterflies are just floating there and really seem to pop-out at you. I already know who will be getting this card as I know she loves butterflies.

All the items used in this project a in the current 2018-2019 Annual catalogue and the 2019 Occasions Catalogue it is only the DSP that will retire on the 31st March as this is a Sale-A-Brations item so if you would like to get this paper before time runs out please place a $90 order with me and get this beautiful DSP pack for free.

Thanks for popping in and having a look I hope to see you again next week.
Bye for now, Hugs Diane xxx
