I carried the donkeys over to the inside of the card with a white layer that I sponged around the edge with Pear Pizzazz and stamped my Sentiment and added the sitting donkey that I also coloured. All of these items can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and the SALE-A-BRATION Catalogue. For my insert I layered Old Olive card onto White and stamped my sentiment and ferns before blending around the edges once again using the new Blending Brushes. Yes we are back and carrying on where we left off on the 16th December 2020. This week our colour is Night of Navy. Being part of the Neutrals collection this beautiful navy blue is just perfect to a male card. So with that in mind I decided I would use the Well Suited Bundle and even though I made this card before Christmas as my Husbands birthday was on the 20th, I thought this would be great to this weeks project as well.
Not that I see my husband in a suit very often. But this just seemed the right time to give him a hint (when you take me out somewhere special wear a suit)......lol Not going to happen.
I used the Night of Navy for that base of the card as well as the shirt and the DSP from the same suite for the tie and jacket. The carnation I made using the layering circles. I cut 5 circles and then wet them and scrunched them up then laid them flat before using a brad to hold them all together. I then used a marker to give the edges of the flowers some colour and then sprayed them with water once again and scrunched them up again leaving them to dry in that shape.
I stamped the inside using Night of Navy using the bow ties and my sentiment from the same set and then coloured in the bow ties using Balmy Blue. As this card was made before the showcase I can tell you he really loved it. So I was really happy about that.
