Week 32 Lemon Lolly - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hi everyone, and welcome to week 32 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our colour is called Lemon Lolly, it's a really pretty yellow, soft and great for young and old. I decided I wanted to have another play with the Latte Love bundle. This is an online exclusive and I really do love this set.

I started with a Lemon Lolly card base and added the Pecan Pie layer, then the DSP from the Latte Love DSP. I stamped directly onto the DSP using Early Espresso ink. I then cut out a cup from the DSP and also cut out the coffee post using the dies. I put black coffee in the pot and added a Gold lid and handle to the pot. Placing them onto the front of the card on an angle. I finished off the front with some of the Swirl dot from the same set.

I think the gold lid and handle make the pot look a bit more up market. What do you think?

For my insert I cut some more cups and glues them to my Basic White layer added some steam and coffee stain. I mounted this onto another layer of Pecan Pie and finished it off with my message.

All the items for this project can be found either online or in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product, please feel free to contact me. At this stage I have no idea who will get this card.

Week 46 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Smoky Slate

Hello and welcome to week 46 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Smoky Slate. I did wonder what I could do for this colour, as it's not a colour I use very often. But I think I made it work. I use the lovely Latte Love Suit. This is an online exclusive set and I am loving it I have made a few cards using it already.

This time I started with a Lemon Lolly card base and added the Smoky Slate as my layer. I love this DSP that to me looks like an old fashion table cloth pattern. I then stamped the mugs and spoons before colouring them using Smoky Slate blends. I filled my mugs with a nice medium blend of coffe using Pecan Pie ink. I stamped the steam in Basic Gray and cut them out by hand. gluing them to the cups. I mounted the cups spoons and sentiment using dimensionals finishing off with just one of the swirl dots.

I wanted to add a little more interest to the inside of the card than I usually do so some coffee stains and a cup, again colouring with blends. I think the Lemon Lolly really brings out the Smoky Slate and they go together really well. I can see me using this set a real lot. If you would like to know more about this online exclusive product or any other online exclusive product please feel free to contact me.

Week 9 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Pecan Pie

Hello and welcome to week 9 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations blog-hop. This week we are featuring the lovely Pecan Pie Colour which is a lovely rich brown colour, and part of the Neutrals Collection of colours. I really didn't know what I was going to create for this week and then I came across a lovely Bridge card that folds flat for posting and I thought I would give this one a try.

I really wanted to use the Little Monkey Bundle so I thought I would doing it with this style of card. I started with a Pecan Pie card base and added a Crumb Cake layer and the DSP from the Bright & Beautiful papers I chose the Blue paper as I thought it looked like the sky and it would go well with the monkeys fling through the air. So I stamped some branches onto Basic White and coloured them using my marker pens and I also stamped some onto the DSP colouring them as well. I cut out the 4 branches and added 3 to the front of the card across the bridge. I also cut out some of the bananas as well so that they are hanging in the trees. Finishing off with a sentiment tag from the stylish shapes dies and hanging a couple of monkeys from the trees.

from the side of the card you can see that the bridge section is a concertina fold so it will spring out once the card is removed from the envelope. I did also add some iridescent rhinestones to the finish off the front of the card. I also carried my theme over to the inside of the card. With another Monkey hanging from a branch. along with the words Little Monkey. I coloured all of my Monkeys with Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake. They are really very cute.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 23-24 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about the product used in this project or you would like to purchase them please give me a call via phone, email or PM so that I can help you.
