Week 38 - Colour Creations Showcase - Pumpkin Pie

Hello all and welcome to week 38 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week we have Pumpkin Pie as our colour. It's a beautiful rich Orange and my second favourite colour so I have found this quite easy to work with. I decided to used the Rooted in Nature stamp set and an Autumn theme for my card as we are coming into this time of the year when there are so many lovely colours on the trees.

I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base and added a Pear Pizzazz layer that I run through my embossing machine with the Subtle Embossing Folder, I then added a Pumpkin Pie layer on an angle before stamping a white layer with White Embossing Powder and the leaf stamp. I used Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry ink pads along with my blending brushes to colour the white card to give a lovely muted background. I then stamped my sentiment with White Embossing Powder and heat set it before cutting it out using the die from the So Sentimental bundle. I mounted this to the front of my card using dimensionals and then added 2 Pear Pizzazz and 2 Pumpkin Pie leaves and some Gold Enamel dots.

My insert I used another Pear Pizzazz layer before added the white layer of which I stamped around the edge the same leaves as for the front of the card. I then stamped my sentiment using Pumpkin Pie.  I don't know who will get this card yet but I'm sure I will know the right person when it's time. Week 37 - Colour Creations Showcase - Pretty Peacock

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 37 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Pretty Peacock the is one of the 2019 - 2021 in colors and will be retiring in a few short weeks time :(
I have chosen to make a Get-well card for my mum as she is in hospital after breaking her hip last week. She has had to have a hip replacement and will be in hospital for about 6 weeks in all. So when I go and visit her next I will take this card and a lovely bunch of flowers to her.

I started my card with a Pear Pizzazz card base and added the Pretty Peacock layer, I then used to So Sentimental bundle to cut out the scalloped rectangle and then added the DSP from the Forever Fern range. I placed all of this onto dimensionals and then added the gold foil strip of the sentiment to sit on. I also used the gold fern specialty paper for the lovely fern in the left-hand top corner and then added some gold enamel dots to finish off the front.

My insert is very simple I used the forever fern stamp set along with the Hotdogs stamp set for my message and leaves. the words of Encouragement  I thought were very fitting for my mum.
To catch all the other lovely Pretty Peacock project please head over to Catherine's Page here-:  Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Week 31 Colour Creations Showcase - Old Olive

Hello and Welcome to week 31 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Showcase. Our colour this week is Old Olive, and being green is my favourtie colour I found this one easy to work with. This is such a lovely colour green not to dark and not to light. I decided I would use the Forever Fern stamp set this week as I had purchased it some time ago and have not got around to using it.

I started off this a White card base and added a layer in Old Olive, I then took another white layer and using the new blending Brushes and Old Olive ink I very lightly coloured around the edges and then into the centre before running it through my Embossing machine using the Subtle Embossing folder. I then used the layering scalloped rectangles from the So Sentimental Bundle to cut out the panels for the front of the card and layered them using white, which I also blended using the brush and Old Olive ink. I then Stamped my Images from the Forever Fern onto these. I mounted all the rectangles onto dimensionals and placed them onto the front of the card. I added 3 gems from the Holiday gems to finish it off.

For my insert I layered Old Olive card onto White and stamped my sentiment and ferns before blending around the edges once again using the new Blending Brushes.  All the items used in this project can be found in the Annual and 2021 Mini Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these products please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Week 22 - Colour Creations Showcase - Just Jade

 Week 22 Just Jade

Hello and Welcome to week 22 of the Art with Heart Team Australia Colour Creations Showcase.

This week our colour is Just Jade this is one of the 2020-2022 incolors and what a lovely colour it is. I have used the Daisy Lane stamp set and punches along with the Butterfly Beauty Dies to create this card.

I started with a whisper white card base and added some DSP from the Flowers for Every Season 6 x 6 pack at the bottom of the card and a piece of Just Jade card at the top that I had run through my Ornate Floral embossing folder I then added some Just Jade Ribbon. I stamped my Daisy using the Just Jade ink I stamped 2 large and 2 small daisies at 1st generation stamping and 1 each of the large and small at 3rd generation stamping I then glue them together in sets of 3 and then added the smaller one to the top of the larger daisy. I did however add the yellow centre to the flower from the retired flower centers. I then cut out only a small section of the large butterfly dies to create the small butterfly on the front of the card. I cut this in Just Jade and Mint Macaroon. I used the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems from the Mini Catalogue and amazing enough they looked green on the card, as they really do pick up the colours beautifully.

I used the So Sentimental Bundle for my tag and stamped this once again using Just Jade.

For my insert I layered some more whisper white onto a just jade layer and also added some DSP to match the front of the card. I used the die from the Hippo Happiness Bundle to cut out the DSP and then cut his in half to place around the edge of my white layer.

All the items in this project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue except the yellow flower centre (Retired) and the Blue Gems that can be found in the 2020 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of the products used in this project please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase.

Heart of Christmas 2020

Hello and welcome to the October Heart Of Christmas 2020 Blog Hop. This hop is show casing the beautiful Christmas Project from the Art with Heart Team Australia.

As this is only a monthly blog during the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue all project are using current items. So I hope this inspires you all to create some beautiful Christmas Card project.

This week I have chosen to use the Lovely "Joyful Holly" Stamp set featured on Page 34 of the said about Catalogue. I started with a Very Vanilla Card base and added a Silver Foil Layer before stamping the holly leaves onto another Very Vanilla Layer. I then stamped the leaves and berries using Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler ink. I then add the beautiful Metallic Mesh Ribbon and a Sentiment tag over the top the tag came from the So Sentimental Bundle (found in the Annual 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue) Page 74. I cut the tag out twice once in silver foil and then in Very Vanilla, I then trimmed the Very Vanilla tag to remove the stitched line and glue the 2 tags together.

For my insert I also layered using the Silver Foil and Very Vanilla. I stamped my sentiment from the Dove of Hope Bundle Page 13 of the Mini Catalogue, along with the leaves.

This is a very simple card and I really needed that this week as I have been so busy getting my house ready for sale and 2 open inspections in 3 days. At least I still found time to relax and craft.

Week 18 - Colour Creations Showcase - Gorgeous Grape

 Week 18 Gorgeous Grape

Hi Everyone, and welcome to week 18 of the Art with Heart Team Colour Creations Showcase.

This week our Colour is Gorgeous Grape this is  part of the Brights Collection of colours and a lovely dark Purple. I have chosen to team mine up with Purple Posy this is one of the 2019 - 2021 In-colors and I think they look very nice together. All my Stamping is using the Gorgeous Grape ink.

I started out with a Purple Posy Card base and add the Gorgeous Grape layer and then another Purple Posy layer I also add yet another layer in the Gorgeous Grape along with Whisper White. I stamped my Poppies using the Gorgeous Grape ink and the Painted Poppies Stamp set. I used the smudgy stamp to stamp the colour of the poppies by stamping off once and then onto the images. I stamped my sentiment from the Peaceful Moments set and once again I stamped in Gorgeous Grape. I then cut this out using the die from the So Sentimental bundle. I coloured around the edge of the die cut sentiment using the Dark Highland Heather Blend pen. I also coloured some gems using the blend pen and attached the tag using dimensionals.

My insert was layered using the Gorgeous Grape and Purple Posy and again stamped in Gorgeous Grape. I kept the insert fairly simple and I was happy with the result.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2020 -2021 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these product please give me a call, Email or PM me and I will help you with your purchase.

Week 7 Colour Creations Showcase - Cajun Craze

Week 7 - Cajun Craze

https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=5343

Hello and welcome to week 7 of the "Art with Heart" Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Cajun Craze, this is a very rich golden brown colour and part of the Regals collection.
This week I thought I would do something a little different so I decided to create a small gift box and matching Thank You card.

Using only Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card stock. My little box is 4 x 3 inches (7.6 x 10.2)cm in size and the card is the same size. I used the dies from the So Sentimental bundle along with the dies from the Ornate Garden bundle to create the box and Card. and finished the top of the box off with a little white ribbon that I coloured using the Ivory Blender pen. the champagne Rhinestones just set off the top of the card as well as show where to open the box.

Once you open the box you can see that it will hold 4 small chocolate just nicely. I think this would make a lovely little gift set for someone who you wish to thank or is feeling a little under the weather.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue (except for the Chocolate) if you would like to purchase these product please give me a call email or PM me so that I might help you with your purchase.
