Week 18 - Colour Creations - Blog-Hop - Garden Green

Hello and welcome to week 18 of the colour creations blog-hop from the Art with Heart Team Australia. This week we are using Garden Green as our focus colour and as Green is my favourite colour I was in my element. I decided I would do a side stepper card as I haven't made one of these in some time. I wanted it to have a Christmas Theme so using the Bright Baubles Bundle for the Aug-Dec 2021 Mini Catalogue seemed the perfect choice.

Starting with a Garden Green card base I used Cherry Cobbler for the 1st layer and then Painted Christmas DSP from the Same Mini Catalogue. I stamped my Bauble using Stazon ink onto Gold Mirror card. Using Stazon it dies and wont smudge I then coloured small areas of the bauble using the Cherry Cobbler Dark Blends Pen as this will also be smudge free when dry. I Then added the Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestones and the Cherry Cobbler & Gold metallic ribbon to finish off the front of the card.

Keeping with the same theme of colours I layers my insert and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  This is one of the few Christmas Cards I have made this year as I haven't been able to get into the Christmas spirit much as the moment.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and the Aug-Dec 2021 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any of these items or would like to know more about the fold used please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you.

Week 17 Colour Creations Blog - Hop Flirty Flamingo

Welcome to week 17 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are creating with Flirty Flamingo. This really isn't one of my favourite colours and I really do struggle to get any ideas with it. So I went through my tutorials and I thought this one will make a really stunning card and it did. (If I do say so myself) toot toot.

It's called a Front Fan Fold card and it's really easy to do. I also used the Sale-A-Bration DSP called Beautifully Penned. I used my blends to colour the flowers on the DSP and on the stamped images on the front of the card and then die cut out 2 flowers from the Hand Penned Bundle to place in the middle of the fan. The butterfly is from the Butterfly Brillance dies and my Basic pearl I colour Flirty Flamingo. This card will need a box to send it in as it stills up about 1/2 inch (1.3cm)  so you wouldn't want to squash it.

I stamped the inside of my card and coloured the flowers again, I allowed a large boarder around my card to really bring out the Flirty Flamingo. I didn't put a sentiment on the front of the card as I thought the inside words say it all.

All the items used in this weeks project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue and the August - September Sale-A-Bration Catalogue. If you would like more information on this project or the items used please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I can help you.

Week 16 Colour Creations Blog - Hop Early Espresso

Hello and Welcome to Week 16 of the Art with Heart Team Australia Colour Creations Blog-Hop.
This week our colour is Early Espresso a really lovely Brown, So I thought I would team this colour up with Gold and I was really surprised at how well they went together.

Teaming up Early Espresso with Gold really gave this card the sparkle it needed. I also used the Blackberry Beauty DSP from the 2021 Mini Catalogue. With the beautiful paper with a hint of gold it really worked well. I wanted to add the Dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden bundle so I stamped the dragonfly using Stazon ink and then punched it out. I mounted him on the card front with Dimensionals and then added some Brushed Metallic Dot.

The inside of my card I kept very simple with just a brush of colour on the White card so that it was so bright and then I stamped my sentiment and images using Early Espresso ink. I'm not sure who will end up with this card but I hope they like it.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue and the 2021 July-December Mini Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these product or would like to know more about Stampin' Up! in general please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I can help you.

Week 15 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Daffodil Delight

Hello and Welcome to Week 15 of the Art with Heart Team Australia Colour Creations Blog-Hop. What a mouthful, but we are here to inspire you and each other by using all the Stampin' Up! Colours in Alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Daffodil Delight a creamy Yellow and part of the Brights Collection of colours. Of all the yellows in the Stampin' Up! range I would have to say this is my favourtie.

I decided I would make a get well card this week so Starting with a Daffodil Delight card Base I add the Basic Black layer and a Daffodil delight layer that I was worn across the top and bottom. I used my blending brush to add a little colour to the torn edge using Flirty Flamingo. I then stamped a Basic White layer with the Timeless Tulips Stamp set, using Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz for the stems and leaves. Finishing the front with a the flagged end tag in Black and White, and stamping using memento ink.

Keeping the inside of the card very simple with just a Basic Black and White layers and a few more tulips. This way you can write as much as you like to the recipient. I love this Timeless Tulip Stamp Set and use it a lot. But I have never done yellow tulips before but added the bit of extra colour to the flowers I think they give more depth. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase. I look forward to hearing from you.

Week 14 Colour Creations Blog - Hop Crushed Curry

Hello and Welcome to week 14 of the Art with Heart Team Australia Colour Creations Blog-Hop. Each week we showcase a different colour from the Stampin' Up! range, this week is Crushed Curry. This is mustard shade of yellow from the Regals Collection. I was trying to find something a little different and having so much trouble that I ended up CASING a card from another demonstrator, LeeAnn Greff so thank you LeeAnn for the inspiration for this card.

I started my card with a Basic White base and added a Crushed Curry layer followed by another Basic White layer.  On my white layer I place a circle and then using my blending brushes and Crushed Curry ink Pad I coloured the front of my card adding a small amount of Pumpkin Pie ink so that it resembled a setting sun sky.  I then removed the circle to leave the white circle as the moon. I then used Evening Evergreen ink to stamp my Bamboo from the Bamboo Beauty Stamp set on page 49 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.

With my insert I matched this with outside of the card using the same techniques. I thought that leaving the inside white it would look wrong. it's such a simple design that really does give a real punch (in my opinion).

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these product please give me a call, email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase.
