Week 49 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Sweet Sorbet

Hello and welcome to week 49 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. Only one more week to go and we have done the full rounds of all the colours. This week we have another retiring Incolour called Sweet Sorbet. I have loved this colour and used it often. But once again I decided to use some other product that I know are retiring along with this colour. But I have also used one of the new stamps from the New  2024-25 Annual catalogue.
This card like most of mine I started with this week feature colour Sweet Sorbet for my base card. I then stamped using the same colour ink the lovely Leaf Collection stamp. You will find this on page 90 of the New 24-25 Annual Catalogue. I think it really look lovely in Sweet Sorbet. I then added a small piece of Vellum to the front of my card and Stamped the Koala from the Wild & Sweet stamp set onto another small piece of Basic White. Unfortunately this set will also be retiring on April 30th 2024. I then coloured in the image using my blend pens, he looks so sweet. I attached this to the Vellum and added some Silver Foil leave from the Natures Note Bundle. (This set is also retiring). I stamped my sentiment from the Grassy Grove stamp set (not retiring) and added a small piece of bakers twine as a bow and some Brushed Metallic dot to finish off the front of the card.

As is my way I kept the inside of the card simple just stamping the grass and sentiment for the Grassy Grove stamp set, onto Basic White card. I really love the way with card turned out even the leave in Sweet Sorbet really pop.

If you would like to know more about these product (even the retiring one's) please feel free to contact me. All retiring product will retire on the 30th April 2024.

Week 48 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Starry Sky

Hello and welcome to week 48 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. Well we are really getting to the pointy end as there are only 2 more week to go. This week we are featuring a retiring Incolour called Starry Sky. Not one that I found myself using very much, in fact I have only just unwrapped my ink pad for this card. But anyway I wanted to use that lovely Reach for the Stars Bundle one last time as I really love this bundle and have used it a lot. I thought I would keep it pretty simple to feature the paper and dies more than anything else. So I started with a Starry Sky Card Base and added a Silver Foil layer and then the lovely DSP (Stargazing)  I cut the planet out of the DSP as well and then used the Silver Foil to the rings. I stamped the sentiment tag and punched it out using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I then used my Dauber to colour the edges of the tag with Starry Sky ink, Finishing off the front with the love Iridescent Rhinestones.

I also kept the inside of my card simple as well by just stamping onto Basic White card using the Starry Sky ink. I also used the dauber again around the edges so that it wasn't as bigger contrast.

This card would suit a male or female, but at this stage I have no idea who will be getting it. All the items used in this Project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. As this catalogue will be ending very soon and all of these product will be retiring. I would recommend that you get in quick if you would like them.

Week 47 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Soft Sea Foam

Hello and welcome to week 47 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. Only 3 more weeks to go and we have finished this years round. Wow that time has gone so quickly. This week we have Soft Sea Foam as our feature colour this is part of the Subtles Collection. and is very pretty light green.
This week I wanted to do a pyramage style card, but I know that it is really hard to line up all the stamped images so I came up with the idea to make my topper first and then using the deckled rectangles I cut out the layers. I then cut the same rectangles onto plain card stock and glued each piece of the layer onto each rectangle. This way I had a solid base under each piece instead of a small piece with a hole in the centre.
I hope you can understand what I'm saying. I then layered each piece on top of each other using dimensionals. I love the way it turned out.
I used the New Country Flowers Stamp set this I got at On Stage Melbourne (this will be in the New 2024-25 Annual Catalogue. Along with the New Leaf Collection Stamp and the Frames and Flowers DSP, Also all new in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue.
I coloured my Urn and leaves using Soft Sea Foam & Smoky Slate Blends mounting everything onto a Soft Sea Foam Card Base. and Stamping Tone on Tone for the Leaf Collection stamp. I used the Pebbled Path Ribbon to add some extra interest to the front of the card. Finishing off the front using the Pick a Banner Punch for my sentiment and the Adhesive Back Shiny Sequins.
I kept the inside of my card very simple With just a Basic White layer and the words So Lucky to Know You from the same stamp set.
You will find the ribbon and card stock used all available in the 2023-24 Annual catalogue, but all other items will be in the up and coming 2024-25 Annual catalogue. Which is due out on the 1st May 2024. I know you wont be able to wait and see all the lovely new products. But let me assure you it will be worth the wait.
If you would like to know more about these product preset or upcoming please feel free to contact me.

Week 46 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Smoky Slate

Hello and welcome to week 46 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Smoky Slate. I did wonder what I could do for this colour, as it's not a colour I use very often. But I think I made it work. I use the lovely Latte Love Suit. This is an online exclusive set and I am loving it I have made a few cards using it already.

This time I started with a Lemon Lolly card base and added the Smoky Slate as my layer. I love this DSP that to me looks like an old fashion table cloth pattern. I then stamped the mugs and spoons before colouring them using Smoky Slate blends. I filled my mugs with a nice medium blend of coffe using Pecan Pie ink. I stamped the steam in Basic Gray and cut them out by hand. gluing them to the cups. I mounted the cups spoons and sentiment using dimensionals finishing off with just one of the swirl dots.

I wanted to add a little more interest to the inside of the card than I usually do so some coffee stains and a cup, again colouring with blends. I think the Lemon Lolly really brings out the Smoky Slate and they go together really well. I can see me using this set a real lot. If you would like to know more about this online exclusive product or any other online exclusive product please feel free to contact me.

Week 45 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Shaded Spruce

Hello and welcome to the Colour Creations blog-Hop. This week (and we are getting close to the end now) we are featuring Shaded Spruce. This to me is a lovely Christmas Green colour. As Green is my favourite colour I didn't have much trouble coming up with a card. I used the Bee My Valentine Bundle. But I didn't make a Valentines card. I just love that little Bee.

I started with a Shaded Spruce card base and added a Pool Party layer. Then I added my DSP from the bundle I used the Colour & Contour bundle to cut the edge of the DSP and the centre for my Bee to sit on. I also added some Basic white to the centre piece and stamped it. I then cut out the bee and stamped his wings onto Vellum I finished off with some lovely Sequins.

I followed the theme over to the inside of the card with the honey comb and bee trails. I think this will make a lovely Birthday card for someone special. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue and the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up!.  If you would like to know more about these product or my design please feel free to contact me.
