Week 23 Early Espresso - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 23 of the colour creations Blog-Hop.  This week we have a really lovely colour for you, it's Early Espresso. I like it, it's a really lovely dark brown and a great colour to work with.

I thought I would do a Christmas card using the Reindeer Fun bundle. So I started by using the Early Espresso for my card base and added some DSP from the same bundle. I then added another layer of Early Espresso and then Basic White. I stamped in Early Espresso and also Garden Green and Real Red. I cut out the reindeer head and glued the 3 pieces together and then glued this to the front of the card. I added the bells around his neck. Finishing off the front with some of the gold embellishments.

This is a Ribbon Pull Card so when you pull on the ribbon at the top the insert will be lifted up by the ribbon. As you can see from the next photo.

So you can write your message on the inside of the card. (That is really a pocket). Also as you all know me I don't like cards that don't stand on their own so there is a stand on the back.

It will stand with the insert popped up as well as down so it is very stable. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue and the Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the items used please feel free to contact me.

Week 44 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Real Red

Hello all, and welcome to week 44 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Real Red. This colour is part of the Brights Collection of colours and a really lovely bright red.

I have chosen to use one of the Online Exclusive product that went live this month (March 2024) Called Simply Zinnia. I started with a Real Red card back and add a Old Olive layer. I then added a Basic white layer that I embossed using the embossing folder that is part of the Zinnia Suite. then I made my frame that covers part of the basic white layer and added the DSP to give the framed look. I called this card a Framed Card. I then cut out the Zinnias from the dies as well as the leaves and added them to the front of the card. Finishing off the front using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, and some of the lovely shiny Sequins.

As always I follow the layering over to the inside of my card, with Old Olive and Basic White. I stamped my sentiment and the zinnias in Real red and only coloured the leaves with Old Olive. I love the way the frame turned out. I haven't seen this design before (not saying it's not been done before) and was happy with how it all came together.

If you would like to know more about these Online Exclusive product or the design of my card please feel free to contact me.

Week 42 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Real Red

Hello and welcome to week 42 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Called Real Red. This is a lovely red and I thought I would show it off with a rather simple card.

So I started with a Basic White card base and added my first layer in Real Red. My second layer was back to Basic White but I used the Metal Plate 3d Embossing folder. Just to give it some texture. I then added 2 more Real Red Panels and the lovely Like an Animal DSP that I coloured using Real Red ink and my Blending Brush. I think they came up beautifully. Attaching them to the front of the card one flat and the other on Dimensionals. I then Stamped the Happy Birthday from the Pansy Patch stamp set.

Finishing off the front with the 2021-2023 Incolor Opal Rounds that I coloured using my Dark Real Red Blends pen.

I decided to add the same colours to the inside of the card so using a bit more of the Like an Animal DSP, coloured and the Same Stamp set I layered in Real Red and Basic White. All the stamping was done in Real Red. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the Jan-April 2023 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these products or this design please feel free to contact me via Email, PM or Phone.

Week 19 Colour Creations - Blog-Hop - Evening Evergreen

Hi and welcome to week 19 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. Here we are with the only other colour in the Stampin' Up! range starting with an E. It's Evening Evergreen a really dark green and as green is my favourite colour I was happy making this card. I decided I would make a Christmas card as I like traditional Christmas colours.

So Starting with a Real Red card base I added an Evening Evergreen layer that I have Embossed using the lovely Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. I then added another Real Red layer and then my DSP layer using Boughs of Holly Paper, that I cut to form a pocket. Placing a tag inside the pocket Stamped using Evening Evergreen ink. I made up some Holly Leaves and Berries for decoration and a Tag from the Stylish Shapes dies. The holly leave are from the Leaves of Holly Bundle. I finished off the front with a ribbon on the tag so that who ever receives this card will know to look, and so of the 2021-2023 Opal Rounds.

For the inside of my card I once again added an Evening Evergreen layer then a Basic white. Stamping in Evening Evergreen. A lovely card that you could attach a gift card to the tag for someone special.

If you would like to know more about this project of the items used. Or you would like to purchase these items please feel free to give me a call email or PM. All items can be found in the Current 2022-2023 Annual catalogue and the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue.

Week 39 Colour Creations Blog - Hop Real Red

Hi and welcome to week 39 of the Art with Heart Team's Colour Creation Blog-Hop. We are really getting to the pointy end of the colours now. This week we have Real Red and though it's a lovely colour, I did struggle to come up this something for this card.  Real Red is one of the Regals Collection of colours and you can get Card stock, Classic Ink Pad, Refill and Blends Combo Pack in this colour along with this colour being featured in some of the DSP.
I have chosen to feature this colour using the Hello Ladybug Bundle from the  Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. I really love this bundle and have used it a lot.

I started my card with a Real Red card base and added a Basic White layer and then a DSP layer from the Simply Elegant 12 x 12 pack I then cut out a scalloped layer in Basic White from the Scalloped Contours dies. Using Real Red ink I stamped the flowers from the Hello Ladybug stamp set through the middle on and angle. I first stamped off so as to lighten the colour a little. Once I was happy with this I then stamped my sentiment. I glued this to the front of my card on an angle. on another piece of Basic White card I stamped the large leaf and fussy cut them out. I place one at the top and one at the bottom front as seen in the photo. I then used the punch from the Bundle (Ladybug Builder Punch) and some Basic Black to cut out the body of the bugs and some Real Red to cut out the wings. Stamping the wing using Memento Black ink for the stops. I added Dimensionals to the back of the wings and also the back of the bug, then attached them on top of the leave. I finished off the front of the card using the Beautiful Iridescent Rhinestones in the middle of each flower.

The inside of my card is just a Basic White layers that I stamped my message on and glued to the inside of the card. I then stamped the large leaf and flower from the bundle and fussy cut them out and glued them also to the inside of the card. plain and yet effective. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. If you would like more information about these or other product please feel free to give me a call, email or PM, so that I can help you.

Week 40 Colour Creations Showcase - Real Red

Hello and Welcome to week 40 of the colour creations Showcase. Our colour this week in Real Red a lovely bright Red that reminds you of Christmas, but as we are closer to Easter than Christmas I wont have a Christmas Card for you nor an Easter Card.
I decided to dig out an older set from the Annual Catalogue that I haven't used in a while.

Pampered Pets, I used the DSP as well as the bundle to create this Birthday Card. I cut my dog and cat from the DSP and used another piece for the windoe of the card. All my stamping is in Real Red ink and all from the same stamp set. I did use the layering squares to create my frame for the DSP.

My insert reflects the front of the card with more dogs and cat cut from the DSP and Real Red layer. I did keep it very simple but I thought it really did let the recipient know what I was trying to say. I have a lot of birthdays coming up in April so I'm sure it will get used for one of them.
If you would like to purchase any or all of the products used in this project, please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase. As these items are all from the 2020-2021 Annual catalogue some of all of these product could be retiring at the beginning of May so please don't wait to long.

Heart of Christmas 2020

Hi Everyone, and welcome to the third Heart of Christmas 2020 Blog Hop. This blog is only run once a month (3rd Monday of each month).

This month I have been playing with the new craze of layering circles and I did mine using designer series paper from the 'Tis the Season 6 x 6 range of papers that can be found in the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue (Page 31) along with the Poinsettia Petals Bundle from the same catalogue (Page 16). I layered my circle onto a Whisper White layer and then onto a Cherry Cobbler card base.

I didn't use the largest poinsettia petal I used the 2nd and 3rd size and the tiny little one as I wanted to be able to see the layering circles underneath. I then added some of the Wonderful Gems to finish off the front of the card I stamped the lovely Merry Christmas.

My insert I kept fairly plain but I think it suits this card very well. All the Items used in this project can be found in the 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue and the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase. Heart of Christmas - Week 14

http://bit.ly/35dVJ1N
Hi Everyone, Here we are again with another Christmas project for you all. I must say I am loving all the lovely projects this year, it is very hard to choose a favourite each week. That's great news as it means they are all as good as each other.
This week I have another gifting card, I have seen this done but when I tried it, it was too small :(
So I set about changing this to fit Australian sizes.
Here is my Project-: It's a Cake in a Cup Pouch (with a stand on the back)

I found the packets for the cake in a cup in the local supermarket and I also found the Eco Spoons (Made from Bamboo) there as well. But as I said when I set about making one from measurements I had found online, my cake packet wouldn't fit. So this is my version. I have used the lovely Cup of Christmas Bundle from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue along with the Snowflakes from the Free Skate Bundle then I used my layering circles for my sentiment and some ribbon to finish off the front of the pouches.
But where to write your message I hear you ask. Well I thought of that and came up with this idea.

A writing panel on the back. As you know, as I have said before I hate cards that don't stand on their own. So I have made a stand for the back of the pouch so that it will stand up even with the weight of the packet and spoon. I will have to make a box for this to go into as it wont fit into an envelope, but I was so please with the way they turned out.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. But be quick as time is running out the catalogue ends on the 2nd January 2020.
If you would like to purchase all or any of the items used in this project (Except the Cake packet and spoon) Please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you.
Now head over to Sharon's Page here-: to catch up with the other project in this weeks hop.

Heart of Christmas - 2019 Week 12

http://bit.ly/2019HOC12

Well Hello Everyone, here we are getting to pointy end of the Heart of Christmas 2019 Blog-Hop.
With only 8 week today until Christmas day I hope you have all started your Christmas Shopping.
This week I have another fancy fold card that I really enjoyed making as I have seen this card done 3 different ways. It's Called a Teepee Card and I love it.

I decided I would use the Toile Tidings DSP for this card so I make one in both colours. I also used the Natures Beauty stamp set and the sentiment tag for the Toile Christmas Bundle along with the Delicata Gold ink. I layered my ovals using 3 in all  before attaching it to the front of the card with Dimensionals. I added a Velcro dot to hold the card shape this also allows it to fold flat to send in the post, and popped a few Toile Tiding Enamel dots to finish off the card.

I also added my insert to the inside of the card so that you have somewhere to write your message. I think this is such an easy card to make and it looks really different. I know it's not a new concept but I think its who ever receives it will like it.

The photo above shows how this card lays flat to go into an envelope.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2019-2020 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue and the 2019 Holiday Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these products please give me a call, PM or email so that I can help you with your purchase.

Heart of Christmas - 2019 Week 6

https://bit.ly/2kJJLM9
Hello everyone,
Sorry I missed last week but I was so busy after arriving home from my holiday only the evening before and didn't have time to prepare anything. But I'm back and this week I have a card with a little difference it's called a Twist and Fold card I saw the style on a YOUTUBE video and thought I want to have a go at this........and here is my card.

I think it might be a little busy with all the extra sprigs but over all I was happy with how it turned out. I used the Toile Tidings DSP for this card and Real Red card stock along with the holly and baubles from the Christmas Gleaming bundle.
it's really is an easy card to make and I have made a few more in this design as well.

I decorated the inside of the card using the same stamp set and made a tag to place into the pocket but a gift card could go in here. What a great idea for that person you never know what to buy.

I left the back of the card with out a sentiment so that I could write my message here. This card will fit into a regular size envelope so there is no extra postage so that makes it cost effective as well.
If you would like to purchase all or any of the items used to make this card please give me a call, email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase. If you would prefer to order online just head over to the Stampin' Up! website and place your order, when asked for your demonstrator type in my name "Diane Furniss" Thank you.

Colour Creations - Real Red

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3610
Hello Everyone,
This week our Colour Creation is Real Red What a lovely colour it is. So Regal, oh and guess what it's in the regal colour range here at the Stampin' Up! colours.

Because it's such a lovely Red I thought it would be nice to make a lovely Asian inspired card with Basic Black and Gold so here is my card.

Sorry the lighting isn't too good this week but with the weather turning real wintery I was finding it hard to get a good picture. But I think you can see the card OK. I started with a Black base card and added the Read Red and Gold foil Card to the card front along with more black. I stamped my images using versa mark and gold embossed them using the Artistically Asian Stamp set (Which I love) them images are mounted onto more gold foil card and then I used Diemensionals to give them some height.

I used white card for the inside of the card and stamped it using Real Red Ink. I must say I was pretty impressed with how it all turned out.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, If I can help you with your purchase please give me either a Call, Email or PM (Australia Only)
Thanks for checking out my Blog, to catch the rest of the Real Red Colour Creations please head over to Catherine's Page Here:-

Colour Creations - Granny Apple Green.

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=2929

Hi Everyone we are back again for the Colour Creations Blog-Hop, and this week the colour is Granny Apple Green I Love Love Love it. (well that's not hard as green is my favourite colour)

I have CASEd the Holiday catalogue for this card as I really did love it and if I do say so I think it turned out just fantastic.

I used the Granny Apple Green as my base card and added Real Red and Whisper White Layers to the front of the card. I stamped my leaves using the Christmas Pines stamp set. I then added the string for the lights. I cut my light bulbs from card stock in Real Red, Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green and the tops from Gold Foil Sheet. I added dimensionals to the back of them and after working out where I wanted them placed I used my daubers in the same colour inks to add a hue behind the lights before attaching them. I used my white gel pen to add the shine mark on the bulbs I think this just finished off the lights.

Adding the dimensions to the back bring the front of the card to life. I stamped my sentiment on the front in black as I wanted the contrast.

I added the same layers to inside of the card. I stamped more leave and another string before adding the 3 sentiment bulbs saying Merry and Bright!

All the items for this project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call so that I can help you with your purchase.
