Week 35 Misty Moonlight - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome, Also Happy New Year. We are starting off 2025 with Misty Moonlight this is the next colour in Alphabetical order in our Blog-Hop. Misty Moonlight is a lovely dusty blue colour and I like it a a lot. I have chosen to use the lovely Countryside Inn DSP for this card as I think it goes really well. My card is called a French Door card. I have also used the lovely Country Birdhouse dies and the Unbounded Love stamp set for this project.

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base and then used the DSP to form the main card. I cut away the 2 top corners of the DSP and glued them to the bottom to add more strength, and give the illusion that to bottom is also cut away. I then added 3 square layers to the front and the flowers from the Country Birdhouse dies.

Only gluing the squares to the left-hand side of the card. I finished off the front with some little gems. My insert is just a single layer of Basic White. I did cut this a tiny bit smaller than usual so that you can see the other side of the DSP nicely.

I think this is a lovely card and a great way to use some of the DSP to make the main part of the card. All the items used in this project are current items and can be found either in the Annual Catalogue or on the Online Exclusives. If you would like to know more about these product please feel free to contact me.

Week 38 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Parakeet Party

Hello and welcome to week 38 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our feature colour is Parakeet Party. This is one of the 2022-2024 Incolours, and it will be finishing up it's stay with us in April this year. Although green is my favourite colour I couldn't take to this one very much. So I have found it hard to work with. But I decided to team it up with Night of Navy and I really like how these two colours work together.

I used the Parakeet Party for my card base and added the night of navy layer. I then embossed a white layer using the Layered Floral 3d Folder. I placed the parakeet party ink pad onto the white card to highlight some of the raised image.  I then made my Faux Pinwheel using the DSP from the Countryside Inn pack. Picking up on the Night of Navy, and finishing off the centre with the flower form the Paper Florist die set.

I carried over the layering on the inside of the card and did all of my stamping in Parakeet Party. The stamp set used for the sentiments is from the Pansy Patch set.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue and the 2024 Jan-April Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the items used please feel free to contact me via email or text.

Week 35 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop 2023-24 - Night of Navy

Hi Everyone and welcome to week 35 of the colour creations blog hop. This week our feature colour is Night of Navy. I do like this colour but I did find it a little hard to come up with a design for this week.  I ended up using the same design as I have for my YOUTUBE channel (this will go live on Sunday 14th) This is a Swing Arm Card. I have made this before but I wanted to revisit it.

Here it is, I started with a Night of Navy card base and added a Basic White layer. Using the DSP from the Rock & Roll pack, as I thought this looked like some paint. I also used the Trusty Tools Bundle for the sentiment tag and paint brushes for the front of the card. I made my swing are using the deckled Circles. Finishing off the front with iridescent rhinestones.

The right-hand arm swings open so that you can open the card. When doing the inside of the card I used the Rock Star stamp set as I thought the words looked as though they had been painted. I did my insert stamping in Night of Navy. Using the nuts and bolts in the corners.

A lovely male card, I'm loving the fact that there are a few more male sets in the new Jan-April Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the card design, please feel free to contact me.

Week 24 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Fresh Freesia

Hello and welcome to week 24 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our feature colour is Fresh Freesia. A beautiful pale lilac colour and I love it. I have chosen to also feature the lovely Deckled Circles from the mini catalogue as well. As I think the to go together really well.

I love rocker cards and I thought this would be a lovely colour to do this with. I started with a Fresh Freesia card base, that I cut out using the largest deckled circles dies and then added a Night of Navy layer followed by a DSP layer from the  Delightfully Eclectic pack. I folded the first circle in half and then cut the other 2 layers in half. I then added 3 more circles for the topper in Fresh Freesia, Night of Navy and Basic White. Using the Happy Birthday die from the Wanted to Say set and the flowers made from the Paper Florist set. to decorate the front of my card.

Finishing off the centre of the flowers with Iridescent gems and some Wink of Stella.

My insert was layered with Night of Navy and Basic White and stamped with a message from the Pansy Patch stamp set. All of these colours go together so well I love the way it turned out. All items used in this project are from the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue and the Deckled Circles are from the 2023 Mini Catalogue. I really hope they will carry these circles over into the next Annual Catalogue I think as more people see how many dies there are and how many lovely project they can make they will want them.

If you would like to know more about these prodcuts used or you would like to purchase them please feel free to contact me via email, PM or phone. So that I might help you.

Week 13 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Blackberry Bliss

Hello and welcome to week 13 of the 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring the colour Blackberry Bliss. I can't say that this is one of my Favourites as it's not. I personally think it's dark but others love it. So I thought it would be nice to use the Reach for the Stars Suite as I have been itching to make a card with it. This is what I came up with.

I started with a Night of Navy card base and added the Blackberry Bliss as a layer. With the DSP having a lot of Blackberry Bliss in it I just thought it looked so good. I stamped the space ship and added the Flames using Pumpkin Pie. I added some stars using the Silver Foil Sheet to give sparkle. I then cut out the rings and added the planet the I stamped mounting them together using dimensionals.

This is another of the winged cards that I have called Swan wings as this is a larger card. I love how the colours really blend into each other so nicely on this DSP.

I added a writing panel to the back of this card as I need somewhere to write my message. Just stamping some stars down the sides for a little bit of interest. All the items used in this project are available in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these products of the card design please feel free to contact me via Phone, email or PM.

Week 10 23-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Balmy Blue

Hello and welcome to week 10 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog-hop. This week our feature colour is Balmy Blue. This is a really pretty blue I really like it, and it part of the Subtles collection of colours.

I wanted to do a very special card (not that I know who will be getting it yet), and I had seen this one done a few time so I thought I would give it a try.

This card is called a Concertina Pocket card, even though the front looks very plain it's when you open up the card that the magic begins. So I started with a Night of Navy card base and added the Balmy Blue layer and the beautiful Countryside Inn DSP, the little flowers are in Balmy Blue. I used the Color & Contour dies for the sentiment on the front along with some iridescent Rhinstones. But wait for it I will open the card for you......

Well what do you think? I have layered the inside of the card with the same DSP as the front and then added the 2 pockets. Finishing off the inside with the concertina fold along the bottom. I added 2 tags from the Tailor Made Tag dies in the pockets. The ribbon for the tags and to tie the card closed, is Inner Braid Ribbon. I must admit I was very happy with how these colours all go together so well. But I needed somewhere to write my message, so I added a writing panel to the back of the card.

I can see me making a few more of this style as I think it would be great for a male or Christmas Card as well. All the Items used in this project can be found in the 23-24 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the design please feel free to contact me either via Phone, Email or PM.

Week 1 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog-Hop

                   Week 1-: 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog-Hop. Boho Blue a 2023-2025 Incolor.

Hello and welcome to our new year of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. We are starting off the year with the 5 new incolors then heading into the new and returning core colours before going through the list of all the other colours in alphabetical order. So we are starting with Boho Blue, it's a really pretty blue not to dark but not to light either. As I haven't decided what new bundles and stamps I want yet I thought I would use a stamp set and dies that have carried over from the previous catalogue. So I saw this style of card on Pinterest and it's called a Fracture card. So I thought I would have a go.

I started out with a Basic White card base and added a Night of Navy layer. I then used the stylish shapes dies and cut a square out of the top Boho Blue layer. layering this onto my Navy layer, I then cut another square smaller in Boho Blue and placed this into the middle of the original square. I then cut strips and glued them around the square so that it looked like I had cut my top layer into pieces. I then used the Pansy Patch stamp set to make my flower stamping in Night of Navy and Boho Blue. I cut it out using the matching dies and mounted onto the front of the card.

Finishing off the front of the card by stamping my sentiment along the bottom and added the new 2023-2025 incolor Dots in Boho Blue. A simple card and yet I think it is effective.

I layered my insert with Night of Navy and Basic White before stamping in Boho Blue. (please excuse my ink spot on the top right have side) that happened after I have glued it into place. All the items used in this project can be found in the New 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these products, and you would like to purchased them please feel free to contact me via email, phone or PM. So that I can help you.

Week 32 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Night of Navy

Hello and welcome to week 32 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our feature colour is called Night of Navy, and as the name suggests this colour is a lovely Navy Blue. So I thought I would make a lovely stepper card to show off all of the lovely colours.

I started with Night of Navy for the card base and I added Melon Mambo and using Hues of Happiness DSP to show up all of the squares on this card. I also added the same layers to the square on the top of the steps and on the back of the card.

I finished off my card front with a flower from the same DSP and stamped Friend from that matching stamp set. popping these all up of the lovely Decorative Circle Punch and the Double Oval Punch. the embellishments are from the Glossy Dots Assortment. On the back of the card I added a larger square for my writing panel. All the stamping was done in Night of Navy. This card folds flat and will fit into a regular envelope.

All the products used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the card, please feel free to contact me via email, Phone or PM so that I can help you.

Week 27 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Mango Melody

Hello and welcome to week 27 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Mango Melody, this is a lovely rich Golden Yellow. It's so nice that it goes with so many other colours so easily. Mango Melody is part of the Brights Collection. So I have teamed it up with Night of Navy and Basic White.

This fancy fold card is called a Hexagon base card and it folds flat and fits into a 6inch square envelope. I started with the Night of Navy and added my layers in Mango Melody, my DSP is one of my favourite from the annual catalogue called Hues of Happiness. I used the dies from the Hues of Happiness Bundle to cut out the filigree pattern on the white layer. I then stamped the flowers from the same set and water painted them using Mango Melody ink and the Water Painters. I stamped my sentiment in mango melody flagging both end and place this also on the top.

As you can see from the side view the top sits up on an angle. I have added a writing panel to the back for you to write your own message.

pushing in the bottom hexagon panel the whole card fold flat nicely and fits into a 6inch square envelope. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these products, or you would like to know more about this fancy fold please feel free to give me a Call, email or PM so that I can help you.
