Week 46 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Soft Suede

Hi everyone and welcome to the last colour in the colour creations Blog-Hop, Soft Suede. Not one of my favourite colours but it is a nice brown all the same. I really did struggle with this card, but this is what I came up with.

I Started with a Soft Suede card base and added Early Espresso and then In Good Taste DSP. I had a play with the DSP on the inside of the card with a bit of a zig zag pattern. Using the Tasteful Touches Bundle for the stamping and dies for the sentiment tag on the front of the card. I stamped using Soft Suede ink. Finishing off the front with some Metallic pearls.

Not wanting to take anything away from the zig zag I kept the rest of the inside of the card fairly simple.

All the items in the project except for the Ink, Early Espresso and Soft Suede card stock will be retiring on the 2nd of May 2022. So sad to see such lovely DSP finishing up. If you would like to know more about these product please feel free to contact me via email, PM or phone.

Week 45 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Soft Sea Foam

Wow can you believe we are almost at the end of the colours? only one more to go. This week though we have Soft Sea Foam a very very pale green and very pretty as that. Soft Sea Foam is part of the Subtles Collection. I have chosen to make a Mother's day card as Mother's Day is the 8th May here in Australia. I am using the beautiful Pansy Petals DSP for this card.

This is the card that I made. I Started with Soft Sea Foam for the base that I cut into a 6 x 6 inch square an formed an envelope shape. I then cut out the flowers and leaves from the DSP and arranged them onto the front of the card. I added some Silver Foil leaves from the Forever Fern dies and the Happy Mother's day came from the Timeless Tulips stamp set. Finishing off the front of the card with some Basic Rhinestones.

As I wanted my card to sand on it's own I added a small card to the back of the envelope so that it would stand.

I just placed a piece of Basic White card to the inside so that I could write a message to mum. This is such a lovely colour to work with and the Pansies go really well with Soft Sea Foam. I know my Mum will love this card.

All the items used in this project and in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, that ends on the 2nd May 2022 so after this day the DSP will no longer be available. I'm please to say that the Pansy Patch Stamp set and dies will still be available in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue that goes live on the 3rd May 2022. If you wish to purchase any or all of these items please feel free to give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Week 44 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - So Saffron

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 44 of the Colour Creations Blog-hop. We are almost at the end of the colours now and it will be sad to see the end of another year of colours.

This week we are featuring So Saffron to me it's a buttery kind of yellow and not an easy colour to work with. So I teamed it up with Basic Black and some products that will be retiring at the end of the current Annual Catalogue.

I started with a Basic Black card base and added a So Saffron layer to the front that I had embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I then added a Basic Black Strip topped with a So Saffron Strip about 1/3rd down the front of the card and added a Daisy in Black and So Saffron. I punched out the larger Daisy twice in Basic Black and the Medium Daisy twice in So Saffron. layering the two daisies on top of each other. I then added a tab at the bottom using the Banners Pick A Punch and a butterfly using the Butterfly Brilliance dies. Finishing off the front with some of my favourite embellishments Iridescent Rhinestones from the Mini Catalogue.

Keeping with the theme of So Saffron and Basic Black I kept my insert plain and used only Momento Ink. So I layers my Basic White onto So Saffron before attaching to the inside of the card.

So Saffron is Subtles Collection and although it's not one of the easiest colours for me to use, I was happy with my card. Plain but pretty.

Don't forget that the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and the Large Daisy punch along with the Daisy Lane Stamp set  are retiring on the 2nd May 2022 so you will have to get in quick if you wish to purchase these items. all other items are still available. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please feel free to give me a call, PM or email so that I might help you.

Week 43 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Smoky Slate

Hi Everyone, Welcome to week 42 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. We are featuring Smoky Slate this week. This colour is part of the Neutrals Collection and a lovely pale gray colour. I decided I would team it up with Basic Gray, also from the same collection but it's a darker gray.

So I started with a Smoky Slate card base and added a Basic Gray layer I then added a DSP Layer from the Symbols of Fortune paper pack. Using the Soaring Swallows Bundle I stamped the 2 birds using Memento ink onto Smoky Slate card. I then used the Basic Gray to colour the wings. I cut out the birds using the dies. Mounting the birds onto the front of the card using dimensionals along with the sentiment tag. I finished off the front with Basic Rhinestones.

Very subtle in colours but I think it really brings out the birds nicely.
As always I kept the inside of my card plain, by just added a Basic Gray and Basic White layer of card. Stamping once again in Memento ink, I stamped my sentiment and another swallow.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and then Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product of would like to purchase them please feel free to contact me via email, PM or Phone.
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog.
