Week 17 Cherry Cobbler - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 17 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Cherry Cobbler, and as the name Suggests this is a really lovely rich red colour. So I decided to make a Christmas card. I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base and added a Garden Green layer then placing the DSP from the Sentimental Christmas pack to the front. I than used a carry over set from last season Called Trucking Along (this can be found in the online exclusives), and the Merry Christmas was from the Reindeer Fun stamp set. I finished off the front with some lovely Shaded Spruce sheer ribbon and some peppermint dots.

This is a special kind of card as it has a pop up gift card holder on the inside. So I made my pop up section and gift card holder using Cherry Cobber and added layers to match the same as the front of the card. I then added my insert beneath to pop up.

In the photo above you can see how the pop up stands up and the pocket for the gift card. I love the way this card turned out. I can see me making a few for family members. But This is one of those cards that could be made for so many different occasions. All the items in this project except the gift card can be found in the new Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalogue that will go live on the 4th September, or in the annual catalogue and online exclusives. If you would like to know more about these product or you would like to purchase these product, please feel free to contact me.

Week 17 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Cherry Cobbler

Hello and welcome to week 17 of the colour creations blog-hop.  This week we are featuring Cherry Cobbler, this colour is a lovely deep red. it works well with so many different other colours it's hard to say which are the best.  I have used the Supremely Awesome stamp set on page 80 of the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue for my card this week.

I started out with a Cherry Cobbler card base and added a Basic White layer. I then stamped the checkered stamp panel 3 times onto some more Basic white, lining it up as I went. cutting this out I added this to the front of the card. I then stamped the small Pizza pieces along the to and bottom and coloured them in. After I stamped the chief and hand cut him out. I used the die from the He's all that bundle for my sentiment as the scalloped edge looked like a pizza crust. colouring the crust with Pumpkin Pie.

But when you open the card you have this lovely Pop Up.

I stamped the larger pizza pieces onto some more white and coloured them and place them around the edge of the tray. This card you have to write your message on the left-hand side.

I love the way this slides to fold flat for posting. All the items is this project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. I know I am going to get a ton of use out of this set. All of the checkered and word stamping are done in Cherry Cobbler. If you would like to know more about this fancy fold or the product used please feel free to contact me via email, phone or PM.

Week 13 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Cherry Cobbler

Hello and welcome to week 13 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring the colour called "Cherry Cobbler".  Being part of the Regals Collection, you can see that it is a really deep red colour. So I have chosen to feature this colour using the New Sweetest Cherries Bundle, from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. This bundle has a lovely stamp set with some really great sayings and cherry stamps along with a Cherry Builder Punch.

So I started my card with an Old Olive card base layering  with a Cherry Cobbler layer. I then stamped some Basic White card stock with cherries, stalks and leaves to make my own DSP. I added this layer, but it needed more. So I added another layer with Old Olive and some DSP from the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue, Called Boughs of Holly. I then added another layer of Cherry Cobbler and Basic White. I stamped Sweet onto the white layer and punched out some cherries to sit above the stamping. I finished off the front with some Red Rhinestones.

For my insert I layers Cherry Cobbler and Basic white stamping in Cherry Cobbler ink. I have a pretty good idea who will end up with this card. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product please feel free to contact me either via email, phone or PM so that I can help you.

Week 18 - Colour Creations - Blog-Hop - Garden Green

Hello and welcome to week 18 of the colour creations blog-hop from the Art with Heart Team Australia. This week we are using Garden Green as our focus colour and as Green is my favourite colour I was in my element. I decided I would do a side stepper card as I haven't made one of these in some time. I wanted it to have a Christmas Theme so using the Bright Baubles Bundle for the Aug-Dec 2021 Mini Catalogue seemed the perfect choice.

Starting with a Garden Green card base I used Cherry Cobbler for the 1st layer and then Painted Christmas DSP from the Same Mini Catalogue. I stamped my Bauble using Stazon ink onto Gold Mirror card. Using Stazon it dies and wont smudge I then coloured small areas of the bauble using the Cherry Cobbler Dark Blends Pen as this will also be smudge free when dry. I Then added the Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestones and the Cherry Cobbler & Gold metallic ribbon to finish off the front of the card.

Keeping with the same theme of colours I layers my insert and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  This is one of the few Christmas Cards I have made this year as I haven't been able to get into the Christmas spirit much as the moment.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and the Aug-Dec 2021 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any of these items or would like to know more about the fold used please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you.

Week 10 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Cherry Cobbler

Hello and Welcome to another week of the Colour Creation Blog-Hop. This week our colour is Cherry Cobbler this colour is part of the Regals Collection being a very deep dark red colour. I have chosen to do a CASE the Catalogue card this week the original can be found on page 34 of the Annual Catalogue. Here is my version-:

I started my card with a Cherry Cobble card Base and added a Basic White Layer that I stamped the little chefs hat onto using the What's Cooking Bundle. I then stamped the bowl and but it out so that I could cut a slit to place my spoon in side before gluing  it to the front. I used the DSP From the Tidings of Christmas Suite as it looked like an apron to me. I then cut out the board, knife, slice and beater using the dies from the What's Cooking bundle and then added them to the front of the card. I used a piece of the Cherry Cobble & Gold Ribbon from the 2021 Mini Catalogue before added my sentiment tag.

My insert was kept simple with just a small about of stamping. This bundle is really very easy to work with and I thought I would have a problem and was unsure if I should purchase it or not. But I'm glad that I did. I think this card could be used for many occasions. So that's is my take on the picture in the Catalogue. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual and 2022 Mini Catalogues from Stampin' Up! if you would like to purchase any or all of these product please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase. Remember that if you purchase between August 3rd - September 31st 2021 and spend $90AU or more you can also choose an item from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue for FREE.

Heart of Christmas 2021

Hello everyone and welcome to another Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2021. It's really feels a little early for me to be making Christmas projects but I was asked to make this card as a tutorial so I thought I would make a Christmas version and that way I could post it here for everyone to see as well.

It's a Pinwheel Tower Flap Card (what a mouthful) but I really thought it turned out well and the DSP is from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue that starts on the 3rd August 2021 and my snow flakes and sentiment stamp is from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp and Dies that carried over from last year. This is a very large card measuring 8 x 6 inches but fit perfectly into an A5 Envelope.

So using Cherry Cobbler as my base card I added Basic White and then my DSP called Peaceful Prints all my stamping is done in Cherry Cobbler so there are not a really lots of colours. For me this is a really bright and cheerful card and I think I know who will get this card. All items used in this project except the DSP are available from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and the DSP will be available from the 3rd August with any $90AU order. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, I look forward to seeing you here again.

Heart of Christmas 2021 Blog-Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Heart of Christmas Blog-Hop for 2021. With the New Mini Catalogue coming out on the 3rd August 2021 and the Items in the Current 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue there are plenty of lovely sets and Papers to chose from.

I have chosen to make a card from the Tidings of Christmas Suite Featured on Page 88-89 of the Annual Catalogue. I love the papers in the suite they are just beautiful. Anyway I have chosen to make a Pop Out Fancy fold card that really showcases the paper and the Star die. My Merry Christmas is from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp set on Page 92.

I started with a Basic White Card base and added a Cherry Cobbler layer followed by the DSP I then used my layering circles to cut out a hole in the front of the card and also to make a frame from Mossy Meadow card. With my star I cut this out 3 time in white card and glued them together before cutting out another in Gold Foil and placing this over the top this really made the star stand out. I then place the Mossy Meadow background star under it so the it really Popped. I used my Cherry Cobbler blender pen to colour some basic peals for the centre of the star and the berries with the holly leave.

When you open this card the centre circle pops out inside the card and looks so pretty in Mossy Meadow followed by the DSP cut using the scalloped circle the scalloped circle and the star are both attached using dimensionals to give it more depth.

Once you pull back the inside flap it reveals the inside message and your place to write your own message. This is my 1st Christmas card for the season. So I hope like it as much as I do. All the product used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these product please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I might help you with your Purchase.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, I look forward to seeing you here again.

Heart of Christmas 2020

Hi Everyone, and welcome to the third Heart of Christmas 2020 Blog Hop. This blog is only run once a month (3rd Monday of each month).

This month I have been playing with the new craze of layering circles and I did mine using designer series paper from the 'Tis the Season 6 x 6 range of papers that can be found in the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue (Page 31) along with the Poinsettia Petals Bundle from the same catalogue (Page 16). I layered my circle onto a Whisper White layer and then onto a Cherry Cobbler card base.

I didn't use the largest poinsettia petal I used the 2nd and 3rd size and the tiny little one as I wanted to be able to see the layering circles underneath. I then added some of the Wonderful Gems to finish off the front of the card I stamped the lovely Merry Christmas.

My insert I kept fairly plain but I think it suits this card very well. All the Items used in this project can be found in the 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue and the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase. Week 9 - Cherry Cobbler

https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=5383

Hi Everyone, and welcome to week 9 of the colour Creations Showcase. This weeks colour is Cherry Cobbler and as the name says this is a lovely rich dark red colour it is part of the Regals Collection of colours.

This week I have 2 cards for you all to see, my first is using the "To a Wild Rose" bundle which can be found on page 15 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. This card started life as a Cherry Cobbler cards base and I added a white layer with 3 Cherry Cobbler strips on the left hand side. I then stamped my message onto an white card and die cut out in oval along with another scalloped oval in Cherry Cobbler and attached to the front of the card using dimensionals. I then stamped the large flower (which if a 3 stage stamp) using the stamparatus along with the leaves and then die cut them and attached to the front of the card.

I left the inside blank as I am going to write a letter to send this card to my Pen Friend in the UK, we have been friend since we were both 7 years old, even with the miles between us these days we still write letters to each other. (on Paper)

For my 2nd card once again I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base and then I added a strip of DSP from the new Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue That goes live on the 4th August 2020 this Paper is from the 'Tis the Season range on page 31 of the Mini Catalogue. I attached this to a white card and then run it through the Big Shot using the "Old World Paper" 3D Embossing folder. I then stamped the poppy from the  "Painted Poppies" stamp set and coloured them using the Cherry Cobbler Blender pens. I added my Happy Birthday from the "Peaceful Moments" Bundle using the die to cut out the tag. I coloured 3 of the Champagne Rhinestones using the Dark Cherry Cobbler blender pen and place them onto the front of the card.

Once again I left the inside of the card blank as this stage. All the items in these 2 project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and the August- December 2020 Mini Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in these projects please give me a call, email or PM, so that I can help you with your purchase.

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Heart of Christmas 2020 Blog-hop. This is a monthly blog that will be published on the 3rd Monday of each month and showcasing the beautiful Christmas products in the 2020 August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue.
I have chosen for my 1st project of this blog a Diamond Spring Card using the beautiful new DSP Called Poinsettia Place (page 15) along with the Poinsettia Petals Bundle (page15) I am really loving this new bundle and can see me using it a lot.
So drum roll........... here is my card.........

This is a lovely fun fold and is so easy to make, but looks so fabulous (well I think so anyway)
I decided to use Very Vanilla card along with Garden green and Real Red for the flowers. I kept my colours very traditional as I thought this card needed to be that way.  I did however stamp my Merry Christmas in Cherry Cobbler as Real Red didn't look bright enough on the Very Vanilla Card.
My writing panel is on the bottom of the card and I stamped my insert message here along with some berries from the same stamp set.

I didn't place a Garden Green layer on here but wish that I had after (next time) so as you can see there is plenty of place to write your message here and this card also fits into a 5 1/2 inch square envelope for posting.
All the items used in this project can be found in the Annual 2020-2021 and Aug- Dec 2020 Mini Catalogues. If you would like to purchase any of these product please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Heart of Christmas - Week 9

http://bit.ly/2019HOC9

Hello Everyone, and welcome to week 9 of the Heart of Christmas 2019.
I think we are all having so much fun show casing so many lovely items, I for one am getting so much inspiration for my fellow hoppers.
This week I am using the  lovely "Wrapped in Plaid" designer paper for my card, and I love the way the gold flecks really stand out. I don't think the picture in the catalogue really does it justice.

I have made a Box Card using the "Bells are Ringing" bundle and the sentiment tag from the "Toile Christmas" stamp set.
I cut out the bells using the gold foil paper and backed them in Shaded Spruce and I gold embossed the Christmas Wishes to finish off the front of the card.
As it is hard to write your message on the inside I have placed a writing panel on the back.

This is such a lovely card and so easy to make my card is 5 x 5 1/2 inches so it's really a great size. I think you could place some Christmas chocolates inside the card or gift voucher/money.
I really enjoy making cards that are a little different and this one fits in that category so well.

All the items used to make this project can be found in the Annual and Holiday Catalogue for 2019 - 2020 if you would like to purchase any or all of the items used here please either give me a call, email or PM me so that I might help you with your purchase.
why  not head over to Claire's page now and catch up with the other ladies in this Blog- Hop.
Have a great week seen you all again soon.

Heart of Christmas - Week 14

https://wp.me/p3deDV-4NU

Hi Everyone, Here we are at week 14 of the Heart of Christmas Blog-Hop. With only 4 more Wednesdays before Christmas not counting this one there isn't long to go now.
This week I have gone for a simple but elegant look (or at least I think so).

I started with a Gray Granite card base and added at Cherry Cobbler layer before adding 3 strips of Joyous Noel DSP. I then added a copper foil strip and a Cherry cobbler strip across the front of the card before Layering my sentiment onto Copper Foil and Cherry Cobbler.

I stamped my sentiment using the peaceful Noel Stamp set and Cherry Cobbler ink. I mounted the 3 layers together and then added dimensionals before placing this on the front of the card.

Using the same stamp set I stamped the insert using Cherry Cobbler and Tranquil Tide ink on Whisper White card.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2018 Holiday Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these products please give me a call or email so that I might help you with your purchase.

Heart of Christmas - Week 13

https://clairedaly.typepad.com/sisterhood_of_the_travell/2018/11/heart-of-christmas-week-13-christmas-creations-bought-to-you-by-the-art-with-heart-stampin-up-team.html

Hi All, Well here we are at week 13 of the Heart of Christmas Blog-Hop. This week I have chosen to used Items that are in the both the Annual and Holiday Catalogue.

I started with a  Cherry Cobbler card base and added a Whisper White Layer that I had run through my Big Shot using the Quilt Top Embossing folder then I Added another Cherry Cobbler layer along with a Whisper White layer for my stamped image from the Holiday Catalogue called "So Santa" I borrowed this set off of a friend's mother. I then stamped my Sentiment on some more Whisper White and using the die from the "Merry Christmas"Thinlits I cut it out and then cut another one in Cherry Cobbler and placed behind.

I mounted both my image and sentiment onto dimensionals and then place them on the front of the  card.  Oops I did colour in the Santa image using my markers first.

I kept the insert simple by just stamping on some more Whisper White the greeting and two rows of holly. I was really happy with is card and I don't want to give the stamp set back......boo hoo
I might have to get this one as well.
To catch up with everyone else's Christmas hop please head over to Claire's page here.
