Colour Creation - Call Me Clover

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-9-call-me-clover/
Hi Everyone, Week 9 of the blog hop, wow where is the time going. This week the colour is "Call Me Clover" a beautiful green (I'm bias as green is my favourite colour). I have used the Bokeh Dots Stamp Set as my background, and I'm loving this set. So versatile.
I used a piece of Call Me Clover Card Stock and layered it with Melon Mambo and Whisper White. Stamped the Bokeh Dots stamps twice and cut around them and layered these also onto the front of the card. Before stamping out the images from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set and cutting them out as well, and placing them on dimentionals.
I then layered some more card stock on the inside of the card and stamped my sentiment on the whisper white layer and glued this into place.
All the items used in this project are in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these products please give me a call. I would love to help you.
Hugs Diane.

Colour Creation - Cajun Craze

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-8-cajun-craze/
Hi Everyone, we are now up to week 8 of the colour creations blog hop. This week the colour is Cajun Craze, a rusty brown colour with very rich tones. The card I have designed this week is called a Criss Cross card, but this card doesn't stand up on it's own. I don't like cards that have to balance on the side so that you can view them, so I designed a stand that is attached to the back of the card. It will lay flat in your envelope for posting.
I used the "Rooted in Nature" Bundle and "Natures Poem" D.S.P.
I layered my Very Vanilla card onto Cajun Craze card stock of my pull out insert. I also used my layering circles to make the sentiment for the front of the card, and stamped my leaves and cut them out using the dies and big shot.
There is plenty of space on the insert so that if you would like to add a gift card as well a write you messages you can.

Here you can see the stand that I made for the back of the card so that is stands alone. All the items used to make this card are in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call I would love to help you. Don't forget there is still time to join my team with the great July special. I will be posting a tutorial for this card in early August on my Facebook group. "Di's Den for Stamping Crafting and Tutorials" so keep a look out for it.
Hugs Diane

Colour Creations - Blushing Bride

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-7-blushing-bride/
Hi Everyone, Wow week 7 and the colour this week is Blushing Bride, a beautiful pink colour. I'm sure every girl (Big or Small) will love this pretty pink on their card. I have created a Wedding Card (not that I know anyone getting married) but I just love this stamp set and had to make a it.

This is a Upright Diamond Card: I used Smoky Slate for my base card and the Blushing Bride for the layers which I stamped using the Blushing Bride Ink (Tone on Tone). I stamped the flowers from the Time for Tea Stamp Set. I then layered them onto the card. I stamped my insert using the Wonderful Moments stamp set.

Before layering it onto some more Blushing Bride and gluing it into place. I then stamped the bride image again on some more whisper white and using the layering ovals I cut out the image for the front of the card. I layered this onto a larger scalloped oval using foil sheet.

I then glued the stamped oval onto the foil oval before adding dimensionals and placing this on the diamond front panel of the card. I finished off by just adding a small amount of colour to the bride, colouring her flowers and  ribbon on her dress with my Blushing Bride Marker. I topped off the card by adding a few basic pearls to the front image.

All of these items can be found in the current 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please call or email me.
Thank you Hugs Diane

Knowing Your Markers - Quick Tip

Hi Everyone,
This weeks tip is something that has annoyed many a craft when using their Stampin' Up! markers. So often you pick up your markers and pull the lid off and DAM you have opened the wrong end again. well there is a really easy way to tell which end is which before you pull that lid off.

Have you every really noticed the lines on the markers? well they tell you at a glance what you want. How clever is that? you don't have to keep turning the markers around to find the little picture or take pot luck any more. Just look for the lines. Thick line is for  colouring and Thin line is for writing.
Have fun with your markers and if I can help you with anything please let me know.

Colour Creations - Blueberry Bushel

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-6-blueberry-bushel/
Hi Everyone, this is week 6 of the Blog Hop and this week the colour is Blueberry Bushel.  A beautiful rich blue, this colour is one of the New 2018 - 2020 In Colours. I'm sure it's going to be a winner.
My Card this week uses the Blueberry Bushel as a mat layer on a whisper white card base, followed by another mat layer of whisper white. I have then used my aqua painter and painted this layer with the Blueberry Bushel ink, giving a washed effect. I then stamped the scene from the Waterfront Stamp Set and using my layering circles I cut out the scene using my Big Shot. I also used the layering circles to make a frame to go around my scene in the same way.
I stamped my sentiment from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set and the Birds from the High Tide Stamp Set and mounted the scene on Dimensionals and place on the front of the card.
I then stamped my insert using the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set of the branches and Sentiment. Before matting onto an Blueberry Bushel Mat and gluing into place on the inside of the card.
All of these items can be found in the current 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please call or email me.
Thank you Hugs Diane

Sharpen Dull Punches - Quick Tip

Hi Everyone, Today I have a tip for sharpening your dull punches.
This will work on all of your punches Large and small.

Image result for stampin up punches
Sharpen Dull Edges - If a punch doesn't cut all the way through or frays the paper, the cutting edge might be dull. Sharpen them by punching through aluminium foil a few times, then punch through wax paper to lubricate the punch and get it moving smoothly again.

Remember Keep it Thin - only punch paper or card stock NOT heavily textured or thicker than normal card stock and please don't punch glitter paper this will dull the edges of your punch.

Colour Creations - Blackberry Bliss

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-5-blackberry-bliss/
Hi Everyone,
Blackberry Bliss is the colour for week 5, Wow what a lovely rich colour. I started with the Blackberry Bliss card stock for my card base and add a whisper white mat layer that I embossed using the Tufted Dynamic Impressions Embossing folder.

I then added the Nature's Poem D.S.P. and some foil sheet to the left-hand side of the card front before adding 2 layered squares on top, with my stamped sentiment. I then stamped the leaves and used the framelits to cut them out using my Big Shot.
Placing my sentiment up on dimensionals, I then place the leaves behind. I then stamped the insert to this card using the same leaves.

All of the stamping was done using the Blackberry Bliss Ink and the the Rooted in Nature Bundle.
If you would like to purchase any of these items please contact me so that I can help you.
