Hello and welcome, Also Happy New Year. We are starting off 2025 with Misty Moonlight this is the next colour in Alphabetical order in our Blog-Hop. Misty Moonlight is a lovely dusty blue colour and I like it a a lot. I have chosen to use the lovely Countryside Inn DSP for this card as I think it goes really well. My card is called a French Door card. I have also used the lovely Country Birdhouse dies and the Unbounded Love stamp set for this project.I started with a Misty Moonlight card base and then used the DSP to form the main card. I cut away the 2 top corners of the DSP and glued them to the bottom to add more strength, and give the illusion that to bottom is also cut away. I then added 3 square layers to the front and the flowers from the Country Birdhouse dies.
Only gluing the squares to the left-hand side of the card. I finished off the front with some little gems. My insert is just a single layer of Basic White. I did cut this a tiny bit smaller than usual so that you can see the other side of the DSP nicely.
I think this is a lovely card and a great way to use some of the DSP to make the main part of the card. All the items used in this project are current items and can be found either in the Annual Catalogue or on the Online Exclusives. A lovely card, Di. Such wonderful use of that gorgeous DSP, and I love the gems as flower centres.
ReplyDeleteWow fantastic
ReplyDeleteLovely DSP and your card is a beautiful way to show it, and Misty Moonlight off, Di.
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting fancy fold. The beautiful blue flowers framing the small center panel are a lovely touch and match with the DSP.
ReplyDeleteAmazing card Di, I really love the fancy fold you've used here
