Week 44 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - So Saffron

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 44 of the Colour Creations Blog-hop. We are almost at the end of the colours now and it will be sad to see the end of another year of colours.

This week we are featuring So Saffron to me it's a buttery kind of yellow and not an easy colour to work with. So I teamed it up with Basic Black and some products that will be retiring at the end of the current Annual Catalogue.

I started with a Basic Black card base and added a So Saffron layer to the front that I had embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I then added a Basic Black Strip topped with a So Saffron Strip about 1/3rd down the front of the card and added a Daisy in Black and So Saffron. I punched out the larger Daisy twice in Basic Black and the Medium Daisy twice in So Saffron. layering the two daisies on top of each other. I then added a tab at the bottom using the Banners Pick A Punch and a butterfly using the Butterfly Brilliance dies. Finishing off the front with some of my favourite embellishments Iridescent Rhinestones from the Mini Catalogue.

Keeping with the theme of So Saffron and Basic Black I kept my insert plain and used only Momento Ink. So I layers my Basic White onto So Saffron before attaching to the inside of the card.

So Saffron is Subtles Collection and although it's not one of the easiest colours for me to use, I was happy with my card. Plain but pretty.

Don't forget that the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and the Large Daisy punch along with the Daisy Lane Stamp set  are retiring on the 2nd May 2022 so you will have to get in quick if you wish to purchase these items. all other items are still available. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please feel free to give me a call, PM or email so that I might help you.

Week 39 Colour Creations Blog - Hop Real Red

Hi and welcome to week 39 of the Art with Heart Team's Colour Creation Blog-Hop. We are really getting to the pointy end of the colours now. This week we have Real Red and though it's a lovely colour, I did struggle to come up this something for this card.  Real Red is one of the Regals Collection of colours and you can get Card stock, Classic Ink Pad, Refill and Blends Combo Pack in this colour along with this colour being featured in some of the DSP.
I have chosen to feature this colour using the Hello Ladybug Bundle from the  Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. I really love this bundle and have used it a lot.

I started my card with a Real Red card base and added a Basic White layer and then a DSP layer from the Simply Elegant 12 x 12 pack I then cut out a scalloped layer in Basic White from the Scalloped Contours dies. Using Real Red ink I stamped the flowers from the Hello Ladybug stamp set through the middle on and angle. I first stamped off so as to lighten the colour a little. Once I was happy with this I then stamped my sentiment. I glued this to the front of my card on an angle. on another piece of Basic White card I stamped the large leaf and fussy cut them out. I place one at the top and one at the bottom front as seen in the photo. I then used the punch from the Bundle (Ladybug Builder Punch) and some Basic Black to cut out the body of the bugs and some Real Red to cut out the wings. Stamping the wing using Memento Black ink for the stops. I added Dimensionals to the back of the wings and also the back of the bug, then attached them on top of the leave. I finished off the front of the card using the Beautiful Iridescent Rhinestones in the middle of each flower.

The inside of my card is just a Basic White layers that I stamped my message on and glued to the inside of the card. I then stamped the large leaf and flower from the bundle and fussy cut them out and glued them also to the inside of the card. plain and yet effective. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. If you would like more information about these or other product please feel free to give me a call, email or PM, so that I can help you.

Week 38 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Pumpkin Pie

Hi and welcome to week 38 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our colour is Pumpkin Pie, a lovely Orange colour and my 2nd favourite colour. This colour is part of the Regals collection and also has Card Stock, Classic ink Pad, Refill and Blends that all match. You will also find some beautiful Designer Series Paper that co-ordinates, called Flowering Fields. This can be found in the 2022 Mini Catalogue. This is what I have used for my projects for this week.

So this card was inspired by Linda Heller, but I loved the simplicity of the design and this is my version. I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base and added a Basic Black layer, I then added my DSP that I cut into 2 pieces turning the middle one over to reveal the other side. I layered this onto my Basic Black layer. I then cut a strip of Vellum and flag tailed the end. I attached this to the front of the card using glue dots.

With the Vellum in place I than made up one of the tulip flowers from the Flowering Tulips Bundle and attached this to the Vellum. I stamped my sentiment tag from the same bundle and cut it out using the layering circles, finishing off the front with some Champagne Rhinestones..

Keeping my insert simple I just layered Basic Black and Basic White together and stamped my message. I thought that the outside of the card said everything I wanted to say. No need for any more.
The flowering Tulips Bundle and DSP can be found in the 2022 Mini Catalogue, all the card stock, ink and rhinestones are in the 2021-2022  Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product, or would like to purchase them please feel free to either PM, Call or Email me so that I can help you.

Week 15 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Daffodil Delight

Hello and Welcome to Week 15 of the Art with Heart Team Australia Colour Creations Blog-Hop. What a mouthful, but we are here to inspire you and each other by using all the Stampin' Up! Colours in Alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Daffodil Delight a creamy Yellow and part of the Brights Collection of colours. Of all the yellows in the Stampin' Up! range I would have to say this is my favourtie.

I decided I would make a get well card this week so Starting with a Daffodil Delight card Base I add the Basic Black layer and a Daffodil delight layer that I was worn across the top and bottom. I used my blending brush to add a little colour to the torn edge using Flirty Flamingo. I then stamped a Basic White layer with the Timeless Tulips Stamp set, using Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz for the stems and leaves. Finishing the front with a the flagged end tag in Black and White, and stamping using memento ink.

Keeping the inside of the card very simple with just a Basic Black and White layers and a few more tulips. This way you can write as much as you like to the recipient. I love this Timeless Tulip Stamp Set and use it a lot. But I have never done yellow tulips before but added the bit of extra colour to the flowers I think they give more depth. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase. I look forward to hearing from you.

Week 11 - Colour Creations Showcase - Coastal Cabana

Week 11 - Coastal Cabana,

https://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=5496

Hello, and welcome to week 11 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Showcase. Coastal Cabana a colour from the Brights Collection and a very pretty turquoise blue colour.
For this weeks project I used the lovely Tasteful Touches Stamp set. I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and then added a Basic Black layer.
I then stamped the leafy sprig using Coastal Cabana ink onto the bottom of a Whisper White layer of card and the words "You are so Special" between them in Memento. I then layered this onto my Black layer on the front of the card.
I then proceeded to add another Basic Black layer to the front of the card followed with Whisper White, I once again stamped the leafy sprig this time in memento. I then stamped the flower using the Coastal Cabana ink 5 times and fussy cut out 3 and the other 2 I cut down to make a 3D layer for the flowers on the front of the card. I attached these over the black sprig using Dimensionals, I finished then front of the card off with a touch of Wink of Stella.
For my insert I once again layered using Basic Black and then Whisper White, I stamped my sentiment and another leafy Spring in Memento, before gluing the last of the flowers that I had cut out.
This is a very simple card using lots of layers to the effect and only one stamp set and to ink colours. Week 8 Colour Creations Showcase - Calypso Coral

Week 8 - Calypso Coral

Hello Everyone and Welcome to week 8 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Calypso Coral which is a beautiful Orange Brown and part of the Subtles Collection of Colours.
I thought that I would use the New Pampered Pet Bundle for this card, I thought having a rusty brown dog would look really good and I was happy with the results.

I Started with a Very Vanilla Card base and added layers in Basic Black, Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla. I then cut out 3 of the Stitched Nested Labels in the same colours and arranged them on the card front after stamping Happy Birthday form the Peaceful Moments set. I then stamped the forward facing dog along with the backwards facing dog onto some very vanilla card and the using my Calypso Coral blender pens to colour the 2 dogs. placing the 2 top nested labels onto dimensionals along with the dogs to give plenty of depth to the project. I finished off by stamping some of the little hearts and colouring them using the light Cherry Cobbler Blender and then added some of the New Wonderful Gems that can be found in the 2020 Mini Catalogue (that will be due out on the 4th  August 2020)

I layered the inside of my card to match the outside and stamped my sentiment from the Pampered Pets Bundle along with the little hearts that I once again coloured using the Light Cherry Cobbler Blender pen.
This bundle comes with both cats and Dogs so it is a lovely set for all animal lovers, If you would like to purchase this bundle or any of the other product used in this project please give me a call, email or PM me so that I can help you with your purchase. Colour Creations - Real Red

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3610
Hello Everyone,
This week our Colour Creation is Real Red What a lovely colour it is. So Regal, oh and guess what it's in the regal colour range here at the Stampin' Up! colours.

Because it's such a lovely Red I thought it would be nice to make a lovely Asian inspired card with Basic Black and Gold so here is my card.

Sorry the lighting isn't too good this week but with the weather turning real wintery I was finding it hard to get a good picture. But I think you can see the card OK. I started with a Black base card and added the Read Red and Gold foil Card to the card front along with more black. I stamped my images using versa mark and gold embossed them using the Artistically Asian Stamp set (Which I love) them images are mounted onto more gold foil card and then I used Diemensionals to give them some height.

I used white card for the inside of the card and stamped it using Real Red Ink. I must say I was pretty impressed with how it all turned out.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, If I can help you with your purchase please give me either a Call, Email or PM (Australia Only)
Thanks for checking out my Blog, to catch the rest of the Real Red Colour Creations please head over to Catherine's Page Here:-

Colour Creations - Pineapple Punch

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3399

Hi Everyone, here we are at week 37 of the Colour Creations Hop and this week the colour is Pineapple Punch. Wow what a lovely bright colour it is. But I did have trouble coming up with something I liked. In the end I settled for using the Dear Doily Bundle again and turned out this card....

It's a very simple card but I was pleased with how it turned out in the end. I started with a Basic Black card base and used the Pineapple Punch as a layer with Whisper White over the top, I then stamped the large doily in Pineapple Punch and the smaller doily in Black. I added the ribbon on the left just to brake it up a little and I think it works a treat.
I'm really loving this set and I think this card could look very pretty in many colours.

I kept the insert very plain as well. I think this was enough I didn't want to take anything away from the front.
All the items used in the project can be found in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any of the items used please either give me Call, Email or PM so that I can help you.
Thank you for hopping along with me this week to catch more Pineapple Punch please head over to Catherine Page here-:

Colour Creations - Mossy Meadow

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3229

Hi Everyone, Here we are again with our colour creations blog-hop. This week the colour is Mossy Meadow, and as I have said before green being my favourite colour I had no problems coming up with this one.

I started off with a Mossy Meadow card base and the only 2 colours of ink I used was Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz. I used the Incredible like you stamp set (which I love) and stamped the lines down the side of white card. before added a strip of gold glimmer paper and then a strip of basic black card. I stamped the main image as full strength and the second image at second generation.

I placed the whisper white stamped up onto some dimensionals and added this to the front of the card before adding a few clear gems close to the dots.

I stamped the insert to match the strips down the right-hand side and added the little flowers at the bottom. I must admit I was very happy with how this turned out I would have thought that it would be way to dark.  I could imagine doing this card in a wide variety of colours and still have a love result.

All Items used in the project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. Don't forget that with Sale-A-Bration on from the 3rd January until the 31st March if you purchase $90 or more in products you can choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. If you would like to make a purchase I would love to help you, so please either Call, Email of PM me Thank you.
