Week 33 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Old Olive

Hello and welcome to the last Colour Creations Blog-Hop for 2022, we will all be back in the New Year to finish off the colour pallet. Starting up again on the 4th January 2023. But until then here we are featuring Old Olive. As you would all know by now Green is my Favourite colour so I really didn't have any trouble with is one. I decided I would use the lovely Grassy Grove Stamp Set, that you will find on page 84 of the Annual Catalogue. I started with a Basic White card base and added a Old Olive layer and then I stamped my scene on another piece of Basic White.

I started with the sun and the Blending Brushes using Daffodil Delight and then some Balmy Blue for the sky area. I then used some torn paper and the Blending Brushes to form the hills using Old Olive ink pad. Once I was happy with them I then added a little extra to give a deeper green. I stamped the tree in the same colour and using a small brush I added a little Flirty Flamingo behind the trees so that it looked like the sun shining through them. Finishing off the front with the grassy stamp and the Dear that I stamped in Soft suede. To give a bit of sparkle to the card I used my Wink of Stella on the trees as well.

Keeping my insert simple I layered some more Basic White onto Old Olive and just stamped some more trees in the bottom corner. All in other stamping was done using Momento Ink.  All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this technique or the items used, please feel free to contact me via email, PM or phone.

Week 32 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Night of Navy

Hello and welcome to week 32 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our feature colour is called Night of Navy, and as the name suggests this colour is a lovely Navy Blue. So I thought I would make a lovely stepper card to show off all of the lovely colours.

I started with Night of Navy for the card base and I added Melon Mambo and using Hues of Happiness DSP to show up all of the squares on this card. I also added the same layers to the square on the top of the steps and on the back of the card.

I finished off my card front with a flower from the same DSP and stamped Friend from that matching stamp set. popping these all up of the lovely Decorative Circle Punch and the Double Oval Punch. the embellishments are from the Glossy Dots Assortment. On the back of the card I added a larger square for my writing panel. All the stamping was done in Night of Navy. This card folds flat and will fit into a regular envelope.

Week 31 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Mossy Meadow

Hello Everyone, and welcome to week 31 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week we are featuring the colour Mossy Meadow, a lovely dark green colour. So I have chosen to make a Christmas card to finish off the last of my Christmas cards for this year. I'm pretty sure I know who will get this card.

So I started with a Mossy Meadow base card and added a basic white layer I wasn't sure what style of card I was going to make. So I added my DSP Layer from the Boughs of Holly paper. But I thought it looked a little plain. So changed the card to a split front card.

And I'm glad I did. I embossed another piece of Mossy Meadow with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder and then cut it to form the split section added Basic White strips along the cut edges. I then added Dimensionals (Foam Pads) to the back of these sections and attached them to the front of the card. I Cut out the Poinsettia from the same paper pack and added the sentiment from the Leaves of Holly Stamp set. Finishing the front with some Red Festive Pearls.

This has really given my card the lift that it needed. I did keep the inside very plain just added a Basic White layer and stamping in Mossy Meadow. I just didn't want to take anything away from the from of the card.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual catalogue or the 2022 July to Dec Mini Catalogue. Items in the mini catalogue will be discontinued at the end of the year. If you are interested in any of these items please feel free to contact my via email, PM or phone so that I can help you with your purchase.

Week 30 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Mint Macaron

Hello and Welcome to week 30 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. we will be featuring the colour Mint Macaron. As green is my favourite colour I really didn't have any problem with this card. I wanted to keep it very simple so I made a Christmas card, in a DL size.

I started with a Mint Macaron Card base, this colour is part of the Subtles collections. I then added a silver foil layer and then another Mint Macaron Layer that I stamped with Versa Mark and Embossed with Silver Embossing powder and the leaves from the Leave of Holly Stamp set. I then added my Sentiment tag that I made to fit across the width of the card and stamped Christmas Wishes from the same set.

I attached this using dimensionals and finished off with the lovely Festive Pearls in silver. plain and simple but I think that it's effective.

My insert was stamped using Mint Macaron ink placing the leaves in the top and bottom corners and peace and joy in the middle. once again plain and simple. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the July- Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue. Week 29 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Merry Merlot

Hello and Welcome to week 29 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is called Merry Merlot. A lovely dark red wine colour. I was having trouble coming up with a design for my card so I decided I would do my go-to layout.

So starting with a Merry Merlot card base I added a Basic White layer that I stamped using the Painted Poppies stamp set. I stamped these along the bottom and the top of the white layer. I then added another Merry Merlot layer and then my DSP from the Lights Aglow. I know that the DSP is Cherry Cobbler but I thought it went really well. I then cut out my Poppies using the coordinating dies Using both Merry Merlot and Cherry Cobbler. Then added my sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I embossed this in gold, though the photo really doesn't do it justice. The oval and the ribbon ends are from the He's all That bundle. Lastly I added some Champagne Rhinestone.

I love this layout as it's very effective and really easy when you need that quick card but you want it to look special. My insert I stamped using Merry Merlot ink and added my message and another row of the poppies along the bottom.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the 2022 June-Dec Mini Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any of all of these product, or you would like to know more about this design please feel free to contact me either via, email, PM or Phone.

Week 28 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Melon Mambo

Hugs Diane xx
Hello and welcome to week 28 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop, this week our feature colour is called Melon Mambo. It's a beautiful bright pink, and one of my favourite colours in the Stampin' Up! range. I have chosen a lovely fancy fold card this week to show case this colour. it's called a Diamond faceted easel card. I think this card really does bring out the best in these colours.

I started with a Melon Mambo card base and my layers are Granny Apple Green and the beautiful Hues of Happiness DSP. I also stamped the inside of the card using the matching stamp set for the outline of the flowers stamped in Melon Mambo. Finishing off the side stopper for the easel with the lovely Bufferfly Brilliance dies and Gold foil card. I also used the lovely Glossy Dots Assortment.

Where do you write your personal message I hear you ask? well that is done on the back of the card. As this is a 5 3/4 inch (14.6cm) card I added a writing panel to the back of the card, with plenty of space to write.

This card does lay flat and fits into a 6in (15.2cm) square envelope. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product of the card design please feel free to contact me via - email, PM or phone.

Hello and welcome to week 27 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Mango Melody, this is a lovely rich Golden Yellow. It's so nice that it goes with so many other colours so easily. Mango Melody is part of the Brights Collection. So I have teamed it up with Night of Navy and Basic White.

This fancy fold card is called a Hexagon base card and it folds flat and fits into a 6inch square envelope. I started with the Night of Navy and added my layers in Mango Melody, my DSP is one of my favourite from the annual catalogue called Hues of Happiness. I used the dies from the Hues of Happiness Bundle to cut out the filigree pattern on the white layer. I then stamped the flowers from the same set and water painted them using Mango Melody ink and the Water Painters. I stamped my sentiment in mango melody flagging both end and place this also on the top.

As you can see from the side view the top sits up on an angle. I have added a writing panel to the back for you to write your own message.

pushing in the bottom hexagon panel the whole card fold flat nicely and fits into a 6inch square envelope. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. Week 26 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Highland Heather

Hello and welcome to week 26 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. We are now over half way through our colours as there are 50 colours in the Stampin' Up! world. We are featuring Highland Heather this week, it's a lovely Light Purple or lilac colour.

I decided to make a fancy fold card that is called W.V. Card. I started with a Highland Heather card base and my layer is Old Olive. My DSP is the Perfectly Penciled 12 x 12, that I spent the morning colouring with my Highland Heather, Old Olive and Pool Party Blend pens Light and Dark. Took me a bit of time as I coloured the whole sheet. But I was really happy with the way it looked. I then cut out 3 butterflies in soild gold foil sheet and 3 butterflies in filigree using the Highland Heather, these are from the Butterfly Brilliance set. placing a few Highland Heather Pearls around to finish off the front and inner back section of the card.

As you can seen from the photo above the W.V. shape of the card. I place a small tag on the back section of this card saying Thinking of You, as the writing panel is on the back of the card.

I finished the back of the card with the same Old Olive layer and the Basic white. All of my sentiments come from the Celebrating You and Go-To Greetings. once again you can see the way the W section of the card is folded. All the items used in this week project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. Week 25 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Gray Granite

Hello and Welcome my lovely Crafty Friends. This week we are featuring Gray Granite as our colour. Not an easy one for me to work with, to dull for my liking. Gray Granite is part of the Neutrals Collection of Stampin' Up! Colours it has a slight beige tinge to it. But I teamed it up with Basic Gray to create my card. As I think this is a colour more suited to a Male card, this is what I made.

I started with a Gray Granite card base that if deckled the bottom edge on. I then cut out 4 layers of deckled rectangles alternatively in Basic Gray and Gray Granite. With the smallest as Gray Granite I then set about giving my sky the stormy look using Fresh Freesia to give the effect of storm clouds, and using Balmy Blue for the sea. I stamped my sail boat from the Let's Set Sail Bundle and added the birds. I stamped the message from the Celebrating You Stamp Set. Finishing off the front with some Iridescent Rhinestones to make it look like rain drops.

As always my insert is plain I layered 2 more deckled rectangles and stamped my sentiment in Memento ink.

All the items used in this weeks project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. If you would like any of these products or would like to know more about them please feel free to give me a Call, email or PM so that I might help you.

Week 24 Colour Creations - Blog-Hop - Granny Apple Green

Hello and welcome to week 24 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Granny Apple Green, and as green is my favourite colour I really enjoyed making this card. Being part of the Bright Collection I thought it would be nice to make a Christmas card.

I started me card with a Basic White card base and the layer is Granny Apple Green that I die cut using the "Split Card Textures Dies" that you will find on page 174 of the 2022-2023 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.  I then wanted to have a play with the Window Wishes Bundle Found on Page 36 of the July-Dec 2022 Mini Stampin' Up! Catalogue. So I set about doing my scene and then added my window. Placing the candles on the window sill.

I added the garland over the window and used the little ribbon die to place at the top. But it looked a little bare to me to I added the Festive Pearls in all of the 4 colours to add some bling. I finished off the front of the card with my Merry Wishes that I tucked behind the candles and added a few more pearls.

My insert as normal for me is very plain. I added the candles again in the bottom right-hand corner and my sentiment. I then place this onto another layer of Granny Apple Green card. I know I used a fair bit of bling on the front but I was happy with how this card turned out. I need to play with this set some more.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue as stated earlier. If you would like to know more about this project or the product used please feel free to give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you.
