Week 26 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Highland Heather

Hello and welcome to week 26 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. We are now over half way through our colours as there are 50 colours in the Stampin' Up! world. We are featuring Highland Heather this week, it's a lovely Light Purple or lilac colour.

I decided to make a fancy fold card that is called W.V. Card. I started with a Highland Heather card base and my layer is Old Olive. My DSP is the Perfectly Penciled 12 x 12, that I spent the morning colouring with my Highland Heather, Old Olive and Pool Party Blend pens Light and Dark. Took me a bit of time as I coloured the whole sheet. But I was really happy with the way it looked. I then cut out 3 butterflies in soild gold foil sheet and 3 butterflies in filigree using the Highland Heather, these are from the Butterfly Brilliance set. placing a few Highland Heather Pearls around to finish off the front and inner back section of the card.

As you can seen from the photo above the W.V. shape of the card. I place a small tag on the back section of this card saying Thinking of You, as the writing panel is on the back of the card.

I finished the back of the card with the same Old Olive layer and the Basic white. All of my sentiments come from the Celebrating You and Go-To Greetings. once again you can see the way the W section of the card is folded. All the items used in this week project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these product, or you would like to know more about this fancy fold please feel free to contact me via email, PM or Phone.

  2. All the time you spent colouring in the sheet of DSP paid off, Di - you've created a beautiful card! I love how the die-cut butterflies complement those on the paper, and I really like the panel you added to the card to write your message on.

  3. Your beautiful card was well worth the time it took to colour the DSP. It looks so pretty, especially with the butterflies over the top.

  7. A delightful card Di. So much effort in colouring the whole sheet of DSP - you have coloured it beautifully. The fancy fold shows your colouring on the DSP so well. The addition of the butterflies is lovely. Xxx From Andrea
