Week 30 Higland Heather - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 30 of the Colour Creations Blog-hop. We are an Australian team of stamper who enjoy creating and highlighting a different colour from the Stampin' Up! range each week. This week our collour is called Highland Heather, it a lovely light purple colour and I do like it very much. I have chosen to use the Attention Shoppers bundle with it this week and it went together just as I had imagined it.

I started with a Highland Heather card base and added a Blackberry Bliss layer and then the DSP from the To Market Suite. I then cut out 2 deckled circles one in Highland Heather and the other in Silver Mirror card, different sizes. I also cut out the shopping trolley in Silver and Early Espresso. I stamped 6 of the Shopping bags and coloured them in an array of different colours, piling them into the trolley.

I also stamped my message and embossed with silver embossing powder. I then mounted the trolley onto the front of the card using dimensionals. I didn't add any bling to the front of the card as I thought it would get lost among the silver mirror card.

With my insert I used another layer of Blackberry Bliss and then Basic White. Stamping my sentiment in Highland Heather and then another shopping bag that I coloured. This bundle is really great for those shopaholic's out there. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or my card design please feel free to contact me. Like wise if you would to purchase these product.

Week 29 Gray Granite - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 29 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop. Our featured colour this week is called Gray Granite, it's not a colour I use a lot. So once again I took the the Annual catalogue for inspiration, and cased another card from the Lily Pond Lane Suite.

I started with a Gray Granite card base and added a Basic Gray layer. Using the DSP that looks like a scene to finish off the layers. As the DSP was wider than the card I cut 1 1/2 inches (3.8cm) off of each end and glued these to each end of the card and then mounted the middle section onto dimensionals to cover the middle section of the card front. I cut out some duck from the DSP and mounted them on the front as a little family. I used the Deckled Circles for the senitment. I used a dauber to brush the edges so that it wasn't so stark white and finished off with some of the dappled dot.

It may not seem like just putting middle section of the DSP up on dimensionals is much but it really did add extra dimension to the card front. I kept the inside of my card very plain the just a Basic Gray layer and Basic white. I stamped using Gray Granite inside and on the front. This again was my take on one of the cards in the catalogue and I was happy to be able to use this set.

All the items used in this project can be found in the Stampin' Up! Annual 2024-25 Catalogue. the suite is on page 45. I loved this set, but have struggled to find the right cards to make using it. But I think this has given me inspiration to use it more. If you would like to know more about this suite or how I made this card please feel free to contact me.

Week 28 Granny Apple Green - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 28, can you believe we are in November already. Where has the time gone? This week we have another green for you that we are featuring, it's called Granny Apple Green and it really does look like an Apple. I wanted to do something I don't normally do and that was to case the catalogue. So I search through and found this one Using the Lily Pond Lane Suite. Adding my own twist along the way.

I Started with a Basic White card base and added a Granny Apple Green layer. I then used the deckled Circles to put out the DSP from the suit and another in White to place under it. Using Balmy Blue on the white to give the appearance of water. I then cut out the reeds and lilly pads from Granny Apple Green and the flowers and rushes from Peach Pie. I also cut the wings to the duck in Peach Pie and the main part of the birds in Basic Gray. I put the DSP layer up on dimensionals and added my sentiment to the top left. Finishing off the front with the Dappled Dots.

I followed the theme over to the inside of the card with a Granny Apple Green layer and then another Basic White stamping front in inside with Granny Apple Green and placing some more reeds and Rushes in bottom corner along with a frog on a lily pad.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue except the Deckled Circles which are an online Exclusive. If you would like to know more about these product, please feel free to contact me.

Week 27 Gorgeous Grape - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and Welcome to Week 27 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring a colour called Gorgeous Grape. This is a really lovely purple colour and goes well with so many other colours. But I have a card that I made a few weeks back now and I really wanted to showcase it here.

It's a slider card. So I started with a Gorgeous Grape card base and added a Highland Heather layer. Then the DSP from the Simply Zinnia's Online Exclusive Suite. I cut out the Zinnia's from the 2 colours and added Crushed Curry centres to the flowers. The sentiment is from the Unbounded Beauty Bundle.

When you pull the ribbon on the side of the card it will slide along allowing you to see the inside of the card, and write your message. I did all the stamping in Gorgeous Grape for the inside as well as the front of the card. How funny that I laid this on my blanket that happens to be the same colour. I also coloured the flower on the inside to match the front.

As you all know by now I don't like a card that can't stand on it's own. So I added a stand, an white copy paper under it so you could see it.....lol

The Simply Zinnia's Suite is an online exclusive product from Stampin' Up! but you will find the card stock in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue along with the Blends.

If you would like to know more about these product of the card design please feel free to contact me.

Week 26 Garden Green - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 26 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Garden Green, and as green is my favourite colour I didn't have any trouble coming up with a card in this colour. So my card is a take on an old fancy fold, but I cut the front away and added a centre piece. I used the Season of Green and Gold DSP along with Gold mirror card on a Garden Green card base.

I stamped the sentiment tag with Gold Embossing powder and cut it out using the dies from the Peaceful Seasons Bundle. I then added a little piece of gold ribbon from my stash and added the gold embellishments.

I also added the gold layer and Basic white to the inside of the card. Stamping in Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam.

All the items used in this card card from the online exclusives except the Garden Green Card that can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this project or the product used please feel free to contact me.

Week 25 Fresh Freesia - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 25 of the Colour Creation Blog Hop. With this weeks feature colour being Fresh Freesia a beautiful lilac colour I really wanted to show it off. So I decided all the lovely purples in the colour range. So I used them all. I started my card with a Gorgeous Grape card base and then added at Highland Heather Layer. I then added the Fresh Freesia layer that I had stamped in Fresh Freesia ink using the Layers of Beauty Bundle. I then used the masks from the same bundle and made my Roses using the same colours as the layers along with Garden Green and Old Olive. As the main rose was to large for the front of this card I cut off a section and glue this to the side of the card as seen in the photo below.

I then added my sentiment from the Unbounded Love Bundle and used the dies that I thought really gave the front that added depth. I finished off the front with the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

My insert was kept plain and simple with just a Highland Heather layer and Basic White Card. I did all of my stamping in Fresh Freesia inside and out and a Simple flower on the inside corner to finish off.

All the items used in this project can be found in the current 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these items of the card design please feel free to contact me.

Week 24 Flirty Flamingo - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hi Everyone and welcome to week 24 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week we are showcasing Flirty Flamingo. I will admit it's not one of my favourite colours and neither is the colour that I paired it with. But here we go you be the judge.

So I Started with a Flirty Flamingo card base and added a Blackberry Bliss layer. I then positioned layers 2 & 3 together and moved around layer 3 until I have the angle that I wanted. gluing them together like this. I then added my DSP layer and trimmed away those layers from layer 2. Gluing these then to my layer 1 on the card front.

I stamped my sentiment directly onto the card front and finished off with the sequins from the online store. My insert is very plain just the 2 layers Blackberry Bliss and Basic White. Stamping in Blackberry Bliss. This DSP on the front of the card is from the Simply Zinnia Suit (another online store product).

All the items used in this project are from the online store except the card stock with can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the card style please feel free to contact me.

Week 23 Early Espresso - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 23 of the colour creations Blog-Hop.  This week we have a really lovely colour for you, it's Early Espresso. I like it, it's a really lovely dark brown and a great colour to work with.

I thought I would do a Christmas card using the Reindeer Fun bundle. So I started by using the Early Espresso for my card base and added some DSP from the same bundle. I then added another layer of Early Espresso and then Basic White. I stamped in Early Espresso and also Garden Green and Real Red. I cut out the reindeer head and glued the 3 pieces together and then glued this to the front of the card. I added the bells around his neck. Finishing off the front with some of the gold embellishments.

This is a Ribbon Pull Card so when you pull on the ribbon at the top the insert will be lifted up by the ribbon. As you can see from the next photo.

So you can write your message on the inside of the card. (That is really a pocket). Also as you all know me I don't like cards that don't stand on their own so there is a stand on the back.

It will stand with the insert popped up as well as down so it is very stable. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue and the Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the items used please feel free to contact me.

Week 22 Daffodil Delight - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 22 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week we are staying with the yellow as the colour is called Daffodil Delight, this is a lovely bright yellow and really does remind you of daffodils. I have chosen to do another little goodie box for you again this week. As I have been trying to do a few different things ready for Christmas. This weeks goodie box is using the Country Birdhouse Bundle and Country Woods DSP.

I started with Daffodil Delight card to give the birdhouse some strength and added the DSP layer over the top. I cut the platform and roof trim from Daffodil Delight to make it look bright and cheerful. Adding a few flowers in Bubble Bath . Then stamping and colouring the little birds in Daffodil Delight.

Making the little box section was really easy and it does hold a love of the chocolates. As you can see from the photo, also you can see that the back of the goodie box is also the same shape as I cut out 2 sets of the birdhouse.

The back of the box was assembles the same as the front leaving off the bird hold and decorations. These are so cute I think I will be making a few more. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin'Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product please feel free to contact me.

Week 21 Crushed Curry - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Crushed Curry, and yes it does look like curry powder. I thought I would do something a little different this week, it's not a card. It's a gift card or Money holder, and it hangs.

I started my project using Crushed Curry for the main card stock and added DSP from the Sentimental Christmas Suite.

It's a cute little hanging box to hang in the Christmas tree, you could put a tag on it with the persons name if you wished. It closes using the sentiment tag at the front. Which comes from the Peaceful Season Bundle. The ribbon is the Frayed Grosgrain. I Stamped in Pretty Peacock and finished with the Drusy  Embellishments.

It's big enough to slip a gift card or some money into the box and a great idea when you don't know what to buy someone for Christmas. If you would like to know more about this design or the products used please feel free to contact me.

Week 19 Copper Clay - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and Welcome to the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring the colour Called Copper Clay. This is a lovely rich clay colour, and really great for men's cards. So this week I have a fancy fold called a Flip Card and I have used the bundle called Tune In. This is a really cute bundle with an old style TV set with antenna's and some really great sentiments.

So I started my card with a Copper Clay base and added an Early Espresso layer and then some DSP from the Take to the Sky Suite. I then added the TV set that I cut out in Early Espresso. I then added the screen in Basic White and stamped it with my Message. I added Gold knobs and speaker panel and the Silver antenna and sound accents to finish off the front of the card. When you flip the card using the pull tab at the bottom you get to the next section of the card.

Here you get 2 more message sections. So I added the words New Flash at the top with more of the sound accents and layers this onto some more Early Espresso. Then at the bottom I added the Happy Birthday from the Tune In bundle. I also added a stand to the back of the card so that it stands on it's own, as you all know I don't like a card that can't stand on it's own. (sorry no photo of that).

As you can see this card stands and you can view it open or closed. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the fancy fold please feel free to contact me.
