Week 9 - Basic Gray Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 9 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Basic Gray. Not a colour I tend to use very much, but I dad find it easy to use for this weeks project.

This card is called a Double Fronted Cascade card and I think that Basic Gray suits this card very well. I started with a Basic Gray card base and added a smoky slate layer. I then used the DSP from the Country Woods collection. As I love this bundle I also used the Country Flowers Bundle. I used a Basic White layer for the inside of my card.

I stamped the Teapot and flowers on the inside of the card and added my message. But I also stamped the same image again and added this to the next layer. I finished off all the layers with some of the pretty flowers and leaves from the dies. I added a Sentiment to the front of the card and used the Happy Labels punch. Finishing off the flowers with the Incolour Shimmer Gems in the centres. I like this card it's simple to make yet looks so effective. If you would like to know more about this project of the Items used please feel free to contact me. All the items used can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue.

Week 8 - Balmy Blue Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 8 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Balmy Blue. This is a really pretty pale blue and I love it. Although I did have a few issues coming up with a design for this weeks card. But I was happy with what jumped into my head.

I started out with a Balmy Blue card base, adding a Basic White layer that I embossed using the So Swirly Embossing folder. I then used the Deckled Circles 5 smallest sizes and cut out 2 sizes in Balmy Blue and 3 sizes in the Countryside Inn DSP. Gluing them to the front of the card largest to smallest in size on an angle. I then used the lovely Heart & Hugs Bundle and stamped the hugging badgers. I know badgers are not blue but they do look so cute coloured in Balmy Blue. Add a sentiment and badgers to the front with dimensionals and colouring some basic gems with night of navy ink to finish off the front.

I did bring the theme over to the inside of the card. Sorry about the red haze that was from the sun set through the window. I stamped the hugging badger again in the bottom corner and added the hearts colouring everything in Balmy Blue.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue or in the Online store. if you would like to know more about these products please feel free to contact me.

Week 7 - Azure Afternoon Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 7 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week our featured colour is Azure Afternoon, this is a really pretty blue colour. I thought I would do another male card as they are really under featured not only here but most places you look for find ideas for men. So here it is.

I started my card using a card bland for Azure Afternoon card stock. I then stamped the flags from the Racing By stamp set in Azure Afternoon ink (tone on tone). I added a Basic white layer and then another piece of Azure Afternoon card to the front. Then I got stumped for a while. But came up with the rosette that I cut from the Adventurous Sky DSP and stamped the next layer from the Round We Go Bundle. Finishing the rosette with my sentiment from the same set. I then stamped the race car from the Racing By set and coloured it in Real Red and Azure Afternoon. But it still didn't look finished to me so I stamped the cups and coloured them. That was the right finish for me.

I carried the theme over to the inside of the card by stamping in Azure Afternoon and then adding some more of the cups. It's my Dad's birthday at the end of this month so I think he might get this card along with some aftershave. We are also taking him out to dinner.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product, please feel free to contact me.

Week 6 - Basic Beige Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 6 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog-Hop. we are featuring a 6th new colour to the pallet this year and it's called Basic Beige. It's not replacing any of the other Basic colours (Black or White) it's an extra.  It's a nice contrast to having Black, White or Vanilla card as sometimes these colours just don't match properly. I have teamed my Basic Beige with the lovely Take to the Sky Suite. I think I will have to buy more DSP for this suite as I have been using it so much. The card I made this week is called a Balcony Card.

I started with a Basic Beige card base and added my layers in Copper Clay and the lovely DSP from the suite. I used this paper with the planes on it so that it looked like the sky was full of planes. on my other 2 players of the balcony I used the paper with clouds. I then stamped the middle sized planes and the largest along with the banner. I attached the planes in the centre with window sheet and used dimensionals for the plane on the front.

when you stand the card up all the planes look as thou they are in mid air and that's the look I was aiming for. I know this one will go down a treat with the person I have in mind to give this to.

I placed writing panels on the back of the card and added some clouds and more planes. With plenty of space to write my message. All the items used in this project are in the current 2024-25 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the products used please feel free to contact me.
