Week 1 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog-Hop

                   Week 1-: 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog-Hop. Boho Blue a 2023-2025 Incolor.

Hello and welcome to our new year of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. We are starting off the year with the 5 new incolors then heading into the new and returning core colours before going through the list of all the other colours in alphabetical order. So we are starting with Boho Blue, it's a really pretty blue not to dark but not to light either. As I haven't decided what new bundles and stamps I want yet I thought I would use a stamp set and dies that have carried over from the previous catalogue. So I saw this style of card on Pinterest and it's called a Fracture card. So I thought I would have a go.

I started out with a Basic White card base and added a Night of Navy layer. I then used the stylish shapes dies and cut a square out of the top Boho Blue layer. layering this onto my Navy layer, I then cut another square smaller in Boho Blue and placed this into the middle of the original square. I then cut strips and glued them around the square so that it looked like I had cut my top layer into pieces. I then used the Pansy Patch stamp set to make my flower stamping in Night of Navy and Boho Blue. I cut it out using the matching dies and mounted onto the front of the card.

Finishing off the front of the card by stamping my sentiment along the bottom and added the new 2023-2025 incolor Dots in Boho Blue. A simple card and yet I think it is effective.

I layered my insert with Night of Navy and Basic White before stamping in Boho Blue. (please excuse my ink spot on the top right have side) that happened after I have glued it into place. All the items used in this project can be found in the New 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue. 1. It really does look like you've cut lots of card fragments for your Boho Blue layer, Di! Great design, and lovely way to show off this gorgeous blue, that goes so well with Night of Navy.

  2. Di, Boho blue is the perfect colour to use with Pansies and the graphic layout of your Fracture card really draws the focus to your gorgeous pansy.

  4. That is a very interseting way to construct a card front and looks amazing. The pansy sets it all off very well too.

Ha and there is was thinking that you had cut different shapes of the Boho Blue. Very effective Di. The pansies are also a great choice to feature Boho Blue.

  8. Such a great card, Di, it looks far more complicated than it really is, but it is a very effective technique. And I love the pansy in Boho Blue.
