Week 3 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Moody Mauve a 2023-25 Incolor

Week 3 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop
 Moody Mauve 2023-25 Incolor

Hello and welcome to week 3 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. We are featuring the 5 new incolors for 2023-25 over the first 5 weeks and this week we have Moody Mauve for you. To me it's a dusty pink colour pretty but unsure if I will use it much at the moment. But I'm sure as time goes on I will find myself using it a fair bit as I do like pinky colours.  I have chosen to use a carry over product for this card as I thought I could make this card to any occasion.

So starting with a Basic White card base I added the Moody Mauve layer and then stamped the next Basic White layer using the Sending Smiles Stamp Set, I stamped the leaves using Old Olive and the flower tips using Moody Mauve. I then added some Old Olive and Crushed Curry using the Blending Brushes. I cut out the word Sending and Stamped the rest of the message onto the card directly. Finishing off the front with some of the lovely Incolor Glossy Dots.

I didn't add a sentiment to the inside of the card, that way I can use it for lots of occasions. I just stamped the same flower stem and flower and layered it onto Moody Mauve layer and then added a strip on the left-hand side to balance out the insert. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue, if you would like to know more about these product or would like to purchase them please feel free to contact me via email, phone or PM so that I can help you.

  1. What a great mix of old and new, Di. I love the way you've laid out your card with the :"Sending" sentiment across the flowers and your lovely blended background. So effective.

Oh Di I know you have said you aren't too sure about Moody Mauve but the card you have created is just lovely and the sprigs from Sending Smiles are perfect for this.

  4. The flowers on your card are so pretty, and I love the inking in the background. It makes me think of a meadow at sunset.

It’s lovely seeing that flower stamped in Moody Mauve, just gorgeous Di. I think blending the old olive and crushed curry was just what was needed on this card.
