Week 38 - Colour Creations Showcase - Pumpkin Pie

Hello all and welcome to week 38 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week we have Pumpkin Pie as our colour. It's a beautiful rich Orange and my second favourite colour so I have found this quite easy to work with. I decided to used the Rooted in Nature stamp set and an Autumn theme for my card as we are coming into this time of the year when there are so many lovely colours on the trees.

I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base and added a Pear Pizzazz layer that I run through my embossing machine with the Subtle Embossing Folder, I then added a Pumpkin Pie layer on an angle before stamping a white layer with White Embossing Powder and the leaf stamp. I used Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry ink pads along with my blending brushes to colour the white card to give a lovely muted background. I then stamped my sentiment with White Embossing Powder and heat set it before cutting it out using the die from the So Sentimental bundle. I mounted this to the front of my card using dimensionals and then added 2 Pear Pizzazz and 2 Pumpkin Pie leaves and some Gold Enamel dots.

My insert I used another Pear Pizzazz layer before added the white layer of which I stamped around the edge the same leaves as for the front of the card. I then stamped my sentiment using Pumpkin Pie.  I don't know who will get this card yet but I'm sure I will know the right person when it's time. 1. Lovely card, Di. I especially like the sentiment white-embossed on Pumpkin Pie card; it's really striking. The emboss-resist technique for your background also looks great.
