Week 25 - Colour Creations Showcase - Melon Mambo

 Week 25 Melon Mambo

Hello and welcome to week 25 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Melon Mambo another of my favourite colours and part of the Brights Collections.

I had seen this snow drift scene done a few times and thought I would like to give this a try. So I set about doing this. My first attempt was in Pool Party and Pretty Peacock and the 2nd was in Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight both turned out pretty good. So I decided I would try Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo. As you can see I did one with a Melon Mambo card base and the other Whisper White. The stamp sets I used for the trees were Perfectly Plaid and Winter Woods. I couldn't believe how pretty the trees look in pink (who would have guessed).
I stamped the Merry Christmas from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp set using Memento Black ink and added Wink of Stella over the trees to make them sparkle.

Because when I stamped my snow drift scene a started with a piece of card that measured 5 7/8 x 8 1/4 inches, after cutting it down to make the fronts I had a piece left over so I added this to the inside of the card. I was surprised just how easy this technique really is to create and I love it and plan to make some more cards in different colour combos. All the items used in this project are in the 2020-2021 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any of these items please give me a call, email or PM so that I might help you. Please head over to Catherine's Page here-: to catch up with all the other lovely Melon Mambo Creations for this weeks Showcase.
Hugs Diane xx

  3. This just took me straight back to the first time my favourite aunty had a pink Christmas Tree! It was amazing as we always had REAL trees so seeing a stunning pink one was such a treat - and it was a really beautiful tree - it must have cost her a fortune! LOL! You've given me an idea for her Christmas card for this year!
