Week 50 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Soft Suede

Hi Everyone and Bye Everyone, This is the last 2022-2023 Blog Hop. So sad to see us come to the end of year. But with so many new and returning colours I'm sure we will have lots of fun next time around. Well we are finishing off the year with a colour that is retiring as well Soft Suede, a bit sad as this is a colour that I like when making male cards. But I'm sure there will be more to choices coming up. Soft Suede is a lovely brown that always look as though it's been brushed to me. So I thought I would send this one off with a bang. I was looking for inspiration and saw something similar in the mini Catalogue so I took elements for the cards and came up with my version.

I started with the Soft Suede and added a Crumb Cake Layer and then the DSP from the Legendary Ride Bundle. I then cut out the bike, jacket, gloves helmet and bag from the DSP and added them to the Circle that I cut out from the Stylish Shapes dies. I then cut out the tag as well from the same die set. Stamping them both with Soft Suede and the layering the cut out onto the circle. I'm glad the Stylish Shapes and the Legendary Ride sets are carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue. I finished off the front using the dot from the same set.

I will be giving this one to my dad for his birthday in June, he will be turning 90. I know he will love it. But his probably a little biased.....lol   I layered the inside with Crumb Cake and Basic White and Stamped my message and the spanners.

Except for the DSP,  embellishments and Soft Suede Card and Ink pad all other items used in this project will be carrying over. This other items will be while stock lasts or until the end of the Mini Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this projects or the items used please feel free to contact me via email, phone or PM so that I can help you.

Week 46 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Soft Suede

Hi everyone and welcome to the last colour in the colour creations Blog-Hop, Soft Suede. Not one of my favourite colours but it is a nice brown all the same. I really did struggle with this card, but this is what I came up with.

I Started with a Soft Suede card base and added Early Espresso and then In Good Taste DSP. I had a play with the DSP on the inside of the card with a bit of a zig zag pattern. Using the Tasteful Touches Bundle for the stamping and dies for the sentiment tag on the front of the card. I stamped using Soft Suede ink. Finishing off the front with some Metallic pearls.

Not wanting to take anything away from the zig zag I kept the rest of the inside of the card fairly simple.

All the items in the project except for the Ink, Early Espresso and Soft Suede card stock will be retiring on the 2nd of May 2022. So sad to see such lovely DSP finishing up. If you would like to know more about these product please feel free to contact me via email, PM or phone.

Heart of Christmas November 2020

Hello and Welcome to the final Heart of Christmas 2020 Blog Hop. We have seen some really beautiful projects and lots of inspiration from all who have participated, thank you.
This week I have a project that I really enjoyed making I used the Hammered Metal Embossing fold and the Ornate Thanks edge die along with the Poinsettia petal bundle. I must say I was pleased with the results. I really only used 2 colours Very Vanilla and Garden Green and I stamped using Soft Suede.

I used the Poinsettia Place DSP for my 3 circles and the small die from the Poinsettia Petals bundle. I mounted my 3 circles using dimensionals. This was such a simple design and yet it says it all. (or at least I think it does) I kept my insert very plain by layering with a Garden Green and Very Vanilla layer.

I used the holly leaves from the Peace & Joy stamp set just to give a little more. All the items used in this project can be found in the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue and the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, If you would like to purchase any or all of the products used in this project please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I might help you. Colour Creations - Soft Suede

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3756
Hi everyone, Well here we are with only one more colour after this of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. So sad to see it coming to an end. This week our colour is Soft Suede which is a really love brown (not to light and not to dark). To me it's a really lovely masculine colour that sits so well with a lot of the new masculine stamp sets coming out on the 4th June 2019. I have used it as a kind of Sepia colour in my card along with a retired stamp set, that I know will be sadly missed by so many people around the world myself included "Lovely as a Tree".

I started out with a very vanilla card base and added a soft suede layer to the front before stamping onto another very vanilla card. other than the sun/moon in the picture I only used soft suede to make the clouds and the ground before stamping 3 layers of the trees I added some birds flying over head to finish off the front of the card along with Happy Birthday that I stamped and punched out using the classic label punch. At first I thought it looked a bit over the top with so much of the same colour but my Husband said he liked it so that was good enough for me (as his not big on compliments with my card making). Not that he doesn't like them he just isn't big on compliment in general so when he says is good I know he really likes it. Sorry about the blabbering on.

As I had used the thick Very Vanilla card I didn't need to add any layers to the inside of the card. So I stamped only half of the trees along with the birds on the right-hand side and just added a small sentiment to finish it off.  It's simple but enough. All the Items used in this project can be found in the 2018-2018 Annual Catalogue but be quick as there is very little time left to purchase retiring products like the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set. If you would like to purchase these products please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Colour Creations - Cherry Cobbler

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-11-cherry-cobbler/
Hi Everyone,
Well here we are at week 11 and Cherry Cobbler is the colour.
What a nice Christmas colour a really rich red I love it.
I decided I would make my first Christmas Card for the Season. This card is called a "Peek Through" Card and I will have tutorial for this on my Facebook page later in August. I used the Cherry Cobbler as my main card colour, with Under the Mistletoe D.S.P. along with the stamp set Christmas Pines.

I used my Big shot to cut out the Layering Ovals and Stitched ovals along with the Pine Cones and Bow. (Bow and Pine Cones from the Pretty Pines Thinlits) I used Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Garden Green ink for all my Stamping.
I placed a Whisper White insert to the inside of the card and stamped this to give it a really Christmas look. All of the Products used to make this project are available in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these product please give me a call so that I can help you with your purchase.
You can find more Cherry Cobbler creations from Catherine's Page here.
