Week 46 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Soft Suede

Hi everyone and welcome to the last colour in the colour creations Blog-Hop, Soft Suede. Not one of my favourite colours but it is a nice brown all the same. I really did struggle with this card, but this is what I came up with.

I Started with a Soft Suede card base and added Early Espresso and then In Good Taste DSP. I had a play with the DSP on the inside of the card with a bit of a zig zag pattern. Using the Tasteful Touches Bundle for the stamping and dies for the sentiment tag on the front of the card. I stamped using Soft Suede ink. Finishing off the front with some Metallic pearls.

Not wanting to take anything away from the zig zag I kept the rest of the inside of the card fairly simple.

All the items in the project except for the Ink, Early Espresso and Soft Suede card stock will be retiring on the 2nd of May 2022. So sad to see such lovely DSP finishing up. If you would like to know more about these product please feel free to contact me via email, PM or phone.

Week 8 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Cajun Craze

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 8 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog-hop. This week our feature colour is Cajun Craze a real rusty brown colour and one I really struggle with. Not my favourite colour by any means, but it's nice to get out of your comfort zone and use colours your fond of.

So here we are I started my card using a Very Vanilla base and added Early Espresso before layering with In Good Taste DSP. I then used the dies from the Stitched Leaves set that also coordinates with the Love of Leaves Stamp Set to cut my leaves in Cajun Craze card. I cut out 5 leaves in all and place 4 of them on the front of the card that I attached with dimensionals. I then stamped my sentiment from the Love of Leaves stamp set and again mounted this with dimensionals, I finished the front by colouring 3 basic pearls using the Dark Cajun Craze Blends pen.

The inside of my card was also layered using Early Espresso and then another Very Vanilla layer. I stamped my sentiment using Cajun Craze ink and then added the last leaf that I had cut out to the top left-hand corner of the insert. All the items used in the project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please feel free to give me a Call, Email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase.

Week 2 - Colour Creations Blog Hop - Balmy Blue

Hello and Welcome to week 2 of the 2021-2022 Colour Creations Blog Hop. As we are going to be working through the Stampin' Up! Colours in Alphabetical order we are starting with Balmy Blue. For me this is a very pretty blue and I love it so much. As my Dad's birthday is coming up on the 24th of this month and he will be 88 I thought I would do a card for him. I have used the Hats Off Bundle found on page 47 of the Annual Catalogue along with the A Good Man stamp set.  This style of card is called a Book Binding Card and it's so effective.

I started with a Balmy Blue Card Base and added Night of Navy layers to the front along with the In Good Taste DSP I stamped my cap using Night of Navy ink and cut it out using the dies from the bundle. I mounted my Cap onto Dimensionals and then Stamp my Sentiment from the A Good Man Stamp set I finished off the front with some Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and Blue Adhesive Gems.

My insert was also layered on Night of Navy Card, I then stamped the deck chair image from the A Good Man Stamp Set and coloured him using my Marker pens I then also cut out the small cap from the Hats Off dies and glued this to the inside of the card.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these product please give me a call, email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase.
