Week 13 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Blackberry Bliss

Hello and welcome to week 13 of the 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring the colour Blackberry Bliss. I can't say that this is one of my Favourites as it's not. I personally think it's dark but others love it. So I thought it would be nice to use the Reach for the Stars Suite as I have been itching to make a card with it. This is what I came up with.

I started with a Night of Navy card base and added the Blackberry Bliss as a layer. With the DSP having a lot of Blackberry Bliss in it I just thought it looked so good. I stamped the space ship and added the Flames using Pumpkin Pie. I added some stars using the Silver Foil Sheet to give sparkle. I then cut out the rings and added the planet the I stamped mounting them together using dimensionals.

This is another of the winged cards that I have called Swan wings as this is a larger card. I love how the colours really blend into each other so nicely on this DSP.

I added a writing panel to the back of this card as I need somewhere to write my message. Just stamping some stars down the sides for a little bit of interest. All the items used in this project are available in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these products of the card design please feel free to contact me via Phone, email or PM.

Week 12 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Berry Burst

Hello and welcome to week 12 of the colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Berry Burst. I love this colour and am so glad that it has returned. I decided that I wanted to do another of the Fancy Fold cards that everyone knows I love doing. So I have chosen the Flip Flap card and I really love how it pops in Berry Burst.

I actually started my card with a Bubble Bath card base and then stamped it using Berry Burst ink and the Share a Milkshake bundle. The little hearts look really pretty against the Bubble Bath. I Then use a Berry Burst layer before the next layer of Bubble Bath. (Stamped again). Adding the Bright and Beautiful DSP to the flappers and behind really looks bright and cheery. I then stamped the Sundae's and spoons.

I put the same sundae's and spoons on the inside of the flappers as well, but unlike the front I didn't add some Basic Pearls that I coloured to look like cherries. This is such a lovely interactive card I recon you could make this for lots of occasions.

As this is a 7x5inch card and it is mounted onto a proper card base I wanted to show off the lovely colour combo so I gave larger that normal borders. Finishing off the inside with more sundae's and spoons. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about this design or the products used please feel free to contact me via email, PM or phone so that I can help you with your purchase.

Week 11 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Basic Gray

Hello and welcome to week 11 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This week we are featuring Basic Gray. Not one of my faves that's for sure. So I hummed and Ahhhhhh ed about what to make and decided I want to try the Patina look. So I got out a Stamp set and Embossing folders and gave it a try.

I decided I was going to use the Sweet Citrus bundle, so placing Basic Gray ink onto my Embossing Folder to start the process. I added Old Olive and Balmy Blue ink with my blending brushes and then I added some Gold embossing powder. I don't think the photo really does it justice, it looks better in real life.

So I mounted my Patina panel onto Basic Gray card and then attached this to a Slate Gray card base. I finished off the front of the card with a saying from the same set. That I stamped in Basic Gray. added just a few Iridescent Gems.

I carried the theme over to the inside of the card stamping in Basic Gray and adding a touch of Old Olive and Balmy Blue. Not bad of my first attempt, if I must say so myself.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these product please feel free to contact my via email, phone or PM.

Week 10 23-24 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Balmy Blue

Hello and welcome to week 10 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog-hop. This week our feature colour is Balmy Blue. This is a really pretty blue I really like it, and it part of the Subtles collection of colours.

I wanted to do a very special card (not that I know who will be getting it yet), and I had seen this one done a few time so I thought I would give it a try.

This card is called a Concertina Pocket card, even though the front looks very plain it's when you open up the card that the magic begins. So I started with a Night of Navy card base and added the Balmy Blue layer and the beautiful Countryside Inn DSP, the little flowers are in Balmy Blue. I used the Color & Contour dies for the sentiment on the front along with some iridescent Rhinstones. But wait for it I will open the card for you......

Well what do you think? I have layered the inside of the card with the same DSP as the front and then added the 2 pockets. Finishing off the inside with the concertina fold along the bottom. I added 2 tags from the Tailor Made Tag dies in the pockets. The ribbon for the tags and to tie the card closed, is Inner Braid Ribbon. I must admit I was very happy with how these colours all go together so well. But I needed somewhere to write my message, so I added a writing panel to the back of the card.

I can see me making a few more of this style as I think it would be great for a male or Christmas Card as well. All the Items used in this project can be found in the 23-24 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or the design please feel free to contact me either via Phone, Email or PM.
