Week 8 Colour Creations Blog-Hop Cajun Craze

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 8 of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog-hop. This week our feature colour is Cajun Craze a real rusty brown colour and one I really struggle with. Not my favourite colour by any means, but it's nice to get out of your comfort zone and use colours your fond of.

So here we are I started my card using a Very Vanilla base and added Early Espresso before layering with In Good Taste DSP. I then used the dies from the Stitched Leaves set that also coordinates with the Love of Leaves Stamp Set to cut my leaves in Cajun Craze card. I cut out 5 leaves in all and place 4 of them on the front of the card that I attached with dimensionals. I then stamped my sentiment from the Love of Leaves stamp set and again mounted this with dimensionals, I finished the front by colouring 3 basic pearls using the Dark Cajun Craze Blends pen.

The inside of my card was also layered using Early Espresso and then another Very Vanilla layer. I stamped my sentiment using Cajun Craze ink and then added the last leaf that I had cut out to the top left-hand corner of the insert. All the items used in the project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please feel free to give me a Call, Email or PM so that I might help you with your purchase.

  1. Leaves were a great choice to create with, using Cajun Craze, Di. I love how the raised leaves look against that Designer Series Paper, too. Great job with this challenging colour!

  7. Di, Cajun Craze isn’t on my favourite list of colours to play with either, but I think your combination with Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and your choice of background DSP work so well on your fun fold card. It’s lovely.

  8. Leaves and Cajun Craze just seem to go hand in hand and you've teamed it well with DSP. A lovely card
