Week 46 Shaded Spruce - Colour Creations Showcase

Hi All, Here we are with our week 46 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week we have Shaded Spruce for you all to get inspired with. Green is my favourite colour so I really didn't find this hard to work with. Part of the Regal Collection it was nice to work with a colour that I like.

I wanted to use a bundle that is retiring at the beginning of May so I chose the Arrange a Wreath for this card and I was really happy how it turned out. I started with an Old Olive Card base and added a Shaded Spruce layer and then my DSP from the Forever Greenery set, I cut out the wreath leaves in both Old Olive and Shaded Spruce turning one over so that the leaves could be seen better I then glued them together. I added the flowers and red bow to finish off the front of the card.

I layered the inside of my card with Shaded Spruce and White card and added 2 strips down the left side I had cut out the other wreath and didn't use it on the front so I decided I would cut it down and use it on the inside I think it gives a lovely bit of interest to the insert, and saves wasting the cut piece as well. It's sad to see the Forever Greenery DSP and the Arrange A Wreath Bundle leaving us, but with so many more new product I know we will be able to create some lovely cards I can't wait to give them a go. If I can help you with a purchase please give me a call, email or PM me I will be happy to help you.

Week 45 - Seaside Spray - Colour Creations Showcase

Wow we are at week 45 only 5 more colours to go........but wait we are going to be showcasing the NEW INCOLORS for 2021-2023 so there are new 10 more colours to come.

This week we have Seaside Spray this is one of the colours that is retiring on the 3rd May 2021 I will be sad to see this go as I really love this beautiful pale blue. So I have showcased this with some DSP that is also retiring on the same day.

I started my card with a Pacific Point card base and added a white layer that I embossed using the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder. I then added a seaside spray layer and my DSP layer from the Ornate Garden Specialty paper I used my blending brush to colour the paper using the Seaside Spray ink pad. I place a ribbon also in the Seaside Spray around the layers and tied a bow. I cut out 2 ovals 1 in Pacific Point and the other in white and layered them together I then cut out the LOVE from the Forever and Always dies the main wording I cut using Gold Foil Sheet.

I kept my insert very plain by only stamping the word form the same Forever and Always bundle but I stamped the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden Bundle. I used my marker pens to colour the flowers and leaves as they are so small and didn't need to be blended.

I know we don't have much time to purchase some of these items but if you would like to purchase them of any others please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase. To catch all the other lovely projects using Seaside Spray please head over to Catherine's Page Here-:

Week 44 Sahara Sand - Colour Creations Showcase

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 44 of the Colour Creations Showcase. We are now back to the S's after a jump last week to get in the retiring colour. We have Sahara Sand. Not sure about this colour and I don't use it very much, I even had to re-ink my pad as it had gone dry. So this week I was challenged, but happy with my card.

I started with a white card base and added the Sahara Sand layer that I embossed using the Subtle Folder (I'm Sorry to see this folder retiring 😢) I then added a white layer over the top that I cut out a partial circle and stamped around the edge of using the Forever Fern Stamp Set and Sahara Sand and Soft Suede ink. I then used my blending brush to take the white edge off of the inside of the circle with Soft Suede ink pad. I mounted this onto the front of the card using dimensionals. To finish off the front I cut 3 small strips in Early Espresso, Crumb Card and White flagged one ends of 2 of them and stamped on the white one. I then layered them together adding dimensionals to the back and mounting them inside the circle. I added 3 Champagne gems and a piece of ribbon. I thought this card looked very elegant.

I kept the inside very plain with no words.

But I did add the layers and stamp the ferns using the Sahara Sand. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and Carrying over into the New 2021-2022 Annual catalogue that commences on the 4th May 2021. If you would like the purchase any or all of the product used in this project please give me a Call, Email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Week 43 - Terracotta Tile Colour Creations Showcase

Hello Everyone and welcome to week 43 of the colour creations showcase.  As you may have noticed we have jumped a few colours and will be going back to them from next week. This is because by the time we would have reached Terracotta Tile this colour would have retired as this is one of the 2019-2021 incolors.
It's not one of my favourite colours as I'm not a brown or rust colour person, but it sits well in the colour pallet.
I decided I wanted to make a card outside of my comfort zone using only card and circles. This is what I came up with.

I started with a white card base and added a Terracotta Tile layer I then die cut out 3 circles from the white layer and then 4 circles out of Terracotta Tile, I then cut the circles again leaving only small frame pieces. I glues the circles in an abstract fashion and then glue them to the white layer. As they looked a bit lost on there I used my Terracotta Tile ink pad and a dauber around the edges of the white layer and then coloured in the circles using Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose Blends in the light only.
I stamped my happy birthday and punched it out then punched out another in Terracotta Tile and layered behind it I then placed my white layer onto the card front using dimensionals. I think this will make a really lovely male card.

My insert was layers of Terracotta Tile and then White I sued the centres of the circles to add some interest to the inside along with my sentiment and once again I used my dauber. Both the inside and front sentiments are from the Timeless Tulips set. I'm happy to say that this stamp set and the punch are carrying over into the New Annual catalogue that will go live on the 4th May 2021. Just remember that the Terracotta Tile colour will not be in the New Annual Catalogue.
If you would like more information on this card and the products used please give me a call, email or PM me so that I can help you.
