Colour Creations - Tranquil Tide

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3778
Hi Everyone, it is with sad heart that we are now at the end of this lovely Colour Creations Blog-Hop. This is the last colour of the current colour pallet, we may be lucky enough to be able to bring you the 5 new In Colours for 2019 - 2021. The lucky last colour is Tranquil Tide and it will be retiring on the 3rd June 2019 so sad as I really love this colour. it may be a dark colour but i still love it.
So along with the beautiful DSP that is also retiring sad times all round.
I have managed to use so product that are either new or carrying over and they are the Tropical Chic and Floral Essence Bundle. I have made another fancy fold card called a corner fold (which I will be making a YOUTUBE Video of in late June or early July) I think it is a lovely effect and very easy to do.When I stamped my flower I stamped 2 on Whisper White and 2 on Vellum to give the look of a really full flower I really like this effect as well, I then added a faceted Silver gem to the centre of the flower.
I stamped my sentiment on the front using the White ink, and as said before the leaves are from the Tropical Chic stamp set and dies.
I decided to follow the same look to the inside of the card by added DSP and a Tranquil Tide panel and then I added a small White panel for writing onto. I thought this would add a little different view to the insert.
With most of the items used in this project retiring You will find it hard to purchase them, But the Floral Essence Bundle is a joy to use and I have made so many project with it already that I think I have worn out the stamps already hehehe......
If I can help you with any of the product used in this project please don't hesitate to give either a call, email or PM so that I can assist you.

Colour Creations - So Saffron

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3718
Hi Everyone,
Wow here we are at week 47, this really is the pointy end of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop. I for one will be sad to see it end. I really have enjoyed making cards in every colour we have and I have loved seeing all the creations from all the other Hoppers as well. We really have had some beautiful cards and I know some of us have found some colours harder to work with than others myself included.
This week our colour is "So Saffron" and being Mother's day here in Australia on the 12th May 2019 I thought I would make a Mother's Day card, I used the Apron of Love stamp set and dies which are sadly retiring on the 3rd June 2019 for my card.
I used the Garden Impression DSP for my Apron and edging along with my oven mitt and I edged the apron in tranquil tide ink to match the strings and pocket and mounted this onto a So Saffron piece of card. I cut out the tools and when I dropped them onto my card the landed just as I have them glued and I thought they just looked prefect scattered down the right-hand side. I then stamped Happy Mother's Day using the White ink pad and place clear gem stones on the front to finish it off.
I only thing I didn't like about the stamp set is it says "MOM" not "MUM" so using a cotton tip I wiped out the top of the O to make it into a U before stamping and cutting out the oven mitt I placed this on to a foam pad before adding this to the front of the card.
I then cut out 2 more mitts and added them to the inside of the card with hearts in the matching colours and then stamped the Made with Love sentiment I then mounted this onto some So Saffron card stock and glued to the inside of the card.
All items used in this project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue (That ends on the 3rd June 2019) if you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in this project please give me a Call, Email or PM me (Australia Only) so that I can help you with your purchase.

Colour Creations - Mint Macaron

http://whatcathymade.com.au/art-with-heart-colour-creation…/

Hi Everyone, Here we are back with the New Year............So Happy New Year to each and everyone of you.
This year we kick off with a lovely colour one of my favourites as I'm a green person this colour really appeals to me. I saw a Youtube video of a card very much like this but not the same so I went about changing it to fit on a regular card.

I call it the fan card for obvious reasons. I started out with a lovely Mint Macaron card base and then add the first layer using Tranquil Tide. I added another layer at the bottom of the card that I stamped using Mint Macaron Ink on Whisper White card. The stamp set I used was Pop of Petals . I stamped 2 flower from the set and coloured in and punched them out before gluing the 2 together.

I love the way this card came together and it was very easy to do. I think this will make a lovely card for the 1st birthday of the year. I used the tranquil tide ribbon for my bow (retired) .

I have kept the insert very simple as I didn't think much else was needed. All the items except the ribbon can be found in the current 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in the project please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.
I will be added a tutorial for this card on my Facebook page in February 2019 as I already have my January tutorials scheduled.

Heart of Christmas - Week 12

https://bit.ly/HeartofChristmasWeek12

Hi Everyone, Week 12 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop and only 7 week until Christmas Scary!!!!
Where has the year gone?
This week I have gone for a Classic look card and I am using the Dashing Deer Bundle yet again. (I Love it)

I have only used the Thick Very Vanilla and Gold Foil Sheet for this card and the only other colours used are Early Espresso and Tranquil Tide for the ink. Using the Swirls and Curls Embossing folder to give the front of the card just that little more depth, I really think it sets it off prefect.

I mounted my layers onto dimensionals to lift it away from the rest of the card. My mum loved this card so much she made one the same while staying with me over the weekend.

I kept the inside very simple as I just didn't think it needed much to keep the classic look.
If you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in this project you will find them in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue and the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. Please give me a call or email so that I can help you with your purchase.

Well Hello Everyone!

Wow Week 11 of the Heart of Christmas Blog-Hop and only 9 weeks until Christmas. If you haven't started your Christmas Cards and Shopping yet I think you might want to get cracking soon.
This week I make my card in Gray Granite and I love the way it turned out. I have has a really good week, this week with the creative juices really running well. (or at least I think so)........lol

I used Granite Gray for my base and Basic Gray for the layer before adding copper foil sheet that I embossed using the Subtle Embossing folder and then the Joyous Noel DSP.
The 2 stamp set used were Peaceful Noel and Making Christmas Bright. I stamped the branches from the Peaceful Noel and added Metallic Pearls to the ends so that it match in with the DSP.

After using the layering circles for the sentiment I attached them using dimensional to the front of the card.

I stamped my insert using Tranquil Tide and Merry Merlot ink to give a real Christmas feel to the insert.
All the items used in the project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual catalogue and the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. If you would like to purchase these items please give me a call or email so that I might help you with your purchase.
