Week 5 Colour Creations Blog-Hop - Tahitian Tide

Hi and welcome to week 5 of the Art with Heart Team Australia Blog-Hop. If you haven't been here before we are showcasing all of the Stampin' Up! Colours in Alphabetical order. We are however starting with the new 2022-2024 In-colours and this is the Last of them. It's Called Tahitian Tide a Blue colour. This week I have chosen to case a card from the new 2022-2023 Annual catalogue, well it's my twist on it from page 113.

I started with a Tahitian Tide card base and added a Basic White layer. I them used the new Incolor DSP (159258), I cut it to size and then cut off a 1 inch (2.5cm) strip length ways and turned it around. This way both sides of the beautiful DSP can be seen. I then cut another piece of Basic White and stamped the one of the images from the In the Moment Stamp Set (157987) along with the sentiment. I used my Blends for colour the images and the die from the Hues of Happiness Bundle (158824) to put the holes down the side so that it looks as though it's been pulled out of a coil bound pad. I finished off the front of the card with glossy dots (158827) Even though they are Pool Party they matched pretty well with the card.

I love the look of the spiral bound edge it's really brings your eye to the centre of the card. I did mount this layer onto Dimensionals (104430).

My insert was every simple with the same stamped image at the bottom and the sentiment stamped with Tahitian Tide ink. I think this a card I would give to someone who it feeling a little low, so at this time I don't have anyone in mind. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to know more about these products or you would like to purchase them please feel free to give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you.

  1. I love the new DSP, and that spiral-bound edge die, too Di. They both work beautifully on your card. I love that you stamped the inside, too; a really nice touch.

  2. Your card is fantastic! I love the trick of flipping the DSP - such a great idea. The edge of the main panel looks great - I will have to check out those dies.
