Week 22 Colour Creations Blog - Hop Highland Heather

Hi Everyone, Wow can you believe we are at the end of October 2021 already. Well Week 22 brings a Lovely colour for us to use it's called Highland Heather and it's such a lovely soft purple colour. I thought that I would make a card for my Sister In-Law for her birthday I bet you can't tell by my card what date is her Birthday.

That's right the 12th of November. hehehe. I have had this stamp set for a while and this is the first time I have used it. It took me a while to line up like I wanted it, but once it was done I was happy. So this is the Days to Remember Stamp set on page 18 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. I used the Happy Birthday from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set on page 97 of the Same Catalogue. and my flower as from the Flowers of Friendship Bundle on page 78.
So I started with the Highland Heather card base and added a Basic White layer and the DSP from the Hand-Penned DSP pack (I love this pack). I stamped my flowers and then punched them out, before gluing them together. I added the Basic pearls and coloured them for the centres of the flowers.

They look a little blue but I coloured them with the Dark Highland Heather Blend pen. For my insert I stamped that large flower from the same stamp set as the from flowers and coloured this in as well and then added a small sentiment of Best Wishes.

All the items used in this project can be found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase. Thank you for taking the time to read my Blog. I know that my Sister In-law (Anne) will love her card is purple is her favourite colour.

  1. Oh Di, that is such a clever use for that calendar stamp set - I just love everything about your card and I'm sure your sister will too!

  2. Love this card Di. The flowers are really pretty, and I like the addition of the stamping on the inside. I've used the calendar stamp back in June when I had two birthdays, so it was worth all the lining up!

  3. I am sure your sister-in-law will love this beautifully personalised card, Di. It is so pretty. I love that Happy Birthday sentiment, and the way you coloured the pearls for the centres of the lovely flowers.

  4. I love personalised cards and this is a great way to add the special recipients birthdate! I'm sure your sister will adore this pretty card with those lovely flowers.

  5. What a sweet card, I'm sure that your SIL will love it! The purple blooms are so very pretty!
