Week 17 - Colour Creeations Showcase - Garden Green

 Week 17 Garden Green

Hi everyone and Welcome to Week 17 of the Colour Creations Showcase. This week our colour is Garden Green, a beautiful rich Green and my Favourite colour. This colour is part of the Regals Collection of colours. I decided this week I would look for a sketch and copy that layout and so I set about finding something that I liked and this is the one I found.

It's a reasonably simple design but I thought it was very effective. I started with a Whisper white card base and added a Garden green 5 5/8 x 3 7/8 inch layer that I embossed using the Old World Paper 3D folder I then added a 5 3/8 x 1 3/4 inch layer of DSP from the Forever Greenery series I added the squares using the layering square dies 1 1/4 inch and the matching scalloped die that you can just see the silver foil edge of. My sentiment tag is 1 x 3 inches. I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Posted for You stamp set and stamped and cut out the flower from the Dressed to Impress Bundle.

For my insert I smudged the ink around the edges using Garden Green and then layered this onto a Garden green layer before attaching to the inside of the card. 3. Another lovely card using the Forever Greenery DSP. It is fabulous that a number of us have used it and yet our cards are so very different. I love the way you have created the added texture with the embossing folder Diane.

  4. Great card sketch to use. I like how the pattern in the DSP mirrors the texture on the Garden Green panel, and that pop of bright red on the roses really finishes it nicely.
