Colour Creations - Smoky Slate

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3701

Hello Everyone, how are we all doing this week?
We have a lovely colour for everyone this week called Smoky Slate, what a lovely warm gray colour this is. I have chosen to make a male card this week as I think this Colour and the stamp set I have chosen go together well.

I started off this a Smoky Slate card base and added a Coastal Cabana square topped with whisper White. I used my Stamparatus  to stamp my hats and fish hooks from the Best Catch Bundle and coloured them in using the marker pens. I stamped them and the Fish and Baskets using the Smoky Slate ink I then cut out the Fish and Baskets before mounting them onto the front of the card. I also stamped the card base using the crackle paint stamp and Smoky Slate ink. I do love the effect from this stamp. I sponged the front and the insert of the card with Smoky Slate ink to give the look of being a bit dirty.  I also cutout some of the small fishes using the dies.

I stamped the Fisherman and sentiment and then grouped the cutout fish together and mounted this onto another Coastal Cabana layer before gluing to the inside of the card. I'm so glad that this set is carrying over from the Occasions Catalogue as I really love making men's cards.
All the items used in the project can be found in the 2018-2019 and the 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue or the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. if you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in this project please give me a call, email or PM so that I can help you with your purchase.

Colour Creations - Shaded Spruce

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3676

Hi everyone, here we are at week 45 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop only 5 more weeks to go. Wow where has this year gone.
Today our colour is Shaded Spruce and beautiful green colour and as green is my favourite colour I didn't find it hard to come up with a project. I chose to use the Tropical Chic stamp set and dies along with the matching DSP for this card. I also used a fancy fold to show case this card.
I started with a Granny Apple green card and the shaded spruce is in the DSP and the ink used to stamp the leaves.I stamped my leaves onto Granny Apple Green card before cutting them out and my flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo. I'm so glad that all of what I used will be carrying over into the 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalogue.
I used the layering square dies for the front of my card and the stitched rectangles for my sentiment.

I placed my Square on to dimensionals to give it more depth, but i glued the leaves on flat and then used more dimensionals for the sentiment.
I stamped more leaves on the writing panel on the back of the card. I will be writing a tutorial for this card on my FACEBOOK Group so keep an eye out for it in early May. (Probably Mother's Day Sunday) All the items used in the project are in the current 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue and will be carrying over to the new 2019-2020 Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of the items used here please give me a call, email or PM me so that I can help you.

Colour Creations - Sahara Sand

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3651

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I didn't hop by last week so busy I just didn't get time but never mind I am back again this week. This weeks colour is called "Sahara Sand" it's sort of a sandy gray colour but I like it. I have used a stamp set from the Occasion catalogue along with 2 stamps from the Annual Catalogue. They are "Let it Ride" "Pop of Petals" and "Hardwood" and I love the way my card turned out.

I started with a Very Vanilla card base and add the Sahara sand as my frame I stamped the Hardwood onto the frame in Early Espresso I drew in the corners of my frame using a marker pen, then pop it up on diementionals. I then stamped my horses from the Let it Ride set and masked them off and stamped the trees so they looked as though they were behind them. I then stamped the Pop of Petals onto some Very Vanilla card with Sahara Sand ink and then coloured them in using the markers.

For the inside of the card I kept it simple by just stamping the trees on one side and the horses on the other. I love this set I really hope this is not one that is retiring. But if it is I know I wont be parting with it and I will be using it for some time to come.
If you would like to purchase any of the items used in this project please give me a call, email or PM as I would like to help you. Please note that from the 3rd June 2019 the Occasion catalogue and the Annual Catalogue end and the new Annual Catalogue takes over so please be quick if in case these items retire on that date.

Colour Creations - Real Red

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3610
Hello Everyone,
This week our Colour Creation is Real Red What a lovely colour it is. So Regal, oh and guess what it's in the regal colour range here at the Stampin' Up! colours.

Because it's such a lovely Red I thought it would be nice to make a lovely Asian inspired card with Basic Black and Gold so here is my card.

Sorry the lighting isn't too good this week but with the weather turning real wintery I was finding it hard to get a good picture. But I think you can see the card OK. I started with a Black base card and added the Read Red and Gold foil Card to the card front along with more black. I stamped my images using versa mark and gold embossed them using the Artistically Asian Stamp set (Which I love) them images are mounted onto more gold foil card and then I used Diemensionals to give them some height.

I used white card for the inside of the card and stamped it using Real Red Ink. I must say I was pretty impressed with how it all turned out.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, If I can help you with your purchase please give me either a Call, Email or PM (Australia Only)
