Week 35 Misty Moonlight - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome, Also Happy New Year. We are starting off 2025 with Misty Moonlight this is the next colour in Alphabetical order in our Blog-Hop. Misty Moonlight is a lovely dusty blue colour and I like it a a lot. I have chosen to use the lovely Countryside Inn DSP for this card as I think it goes really well. My card is called a French Door card. I have also used the lovely Country Birdhouse dies and the Unbounded Love stamp set for this project.

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base and then used the DSP to form the main card. I cut away the 2 top corners of the DSP and glued them to the bottom to add more strength, and give the illusion that to bottom is also cut away. I then added 3 square layers to the front and the flowers from the Country Birdhouse dies.

Only gluing the squares to the left-hand side of the card. I finished off the front with some little gems. My insert is just a single layer of Basic White. I did cut this a tiny bit smaller than usual so that you can see the other side of the DSP nicely.

I think this is a lovely card and a great way to use some of the DSP to make the main part of the card. All the items used in this project are current items and can be found either in the Annual Catalogue or on the Online Exclusives. If you would like to know more about these product please feel free to contact me.

Week 34 Melon Mambo - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 34 of the Colour Creations Blog-Hop and the last one for 2024, we will be back on the 8th of January 2025 to finish off all the rest of the lovely colours that we haven't featured yet. But as for today we are featuring Melon Mambo. A really bright pink colour and it's a happy colour for me. I thought I would make a Shaker card this time as it's not something I do very often.

So I started with a Melon Mambo card base and I added a DSP layer in Balmy Blue from the Beautiful Bokeh 6 x 6 inch Pack (this is part of the Beautiful Butterflies Suite Collection.) I then run the Basic White layer through the die cut machine using the Starstruck Embossing folder from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue. (Available from the 7th January 2025) I then used a brush to colour it with Melon Mambo ink. After that I cut out a square aperture from this piece of card. I placed the Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix on the card and added a piece of Window Sheet and the Dimensional Strips to hold them in place. I finished off the front of the card using the Medium Sized Butterflies from the Same suite, along with the sentiment tag and sentiment. I added the Sequins from the online exclusives to finish off the front.

I kept the inside the same as the front using the DSP as my layer and then the Basic White. I stamped in Melon Mambo. The blue and pinks in the Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix really work well and bring out the colours from both the papers and Mix. If you would like to know more about these product (that will be available from the 7th of January until the 5th May 2025) please feel free to contact me.

Week 33 Lost Lagoon - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hi Everyone and welcome to my Blog. This week our feature colour is called "Lost Lagoon" It's a really pretty sea green colour and I love it. I have chosen to do a fairly plain and easy card as I have had a really busy week.

I started with a basic white card base and edges around the card with Lost Lagoon ink. I then added a Lost Lagoon layer and DSP layer from the A Little Latte pack. I used the Frames and Flowers Specialty DSP from the annual catalogue (Page 29) for my wreath. I then cut out a circle from the deckled circles and edge that with Lost Lagoon ink. I stamped my Happy Birthday from the Tune In Stamp set, and place it on dimensionals. I then added the Lost Lagoon dots to finish off the front of the card.

My insert was kept very simple with just a Lost Lagoon layer and Basic White. I Stamped the words Wish Big from the From the Hot Air Balloon Bundle. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or would like to purchase them please feel free to contact me.

Week 32 Lemon Lolly - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hi everyone, and welcome to week 32 of the colour creations blog-hop. This week our colour is called Lemon Lolly, it's a really pretty yellow, soft and great for young and old. I decided I wanted to have another play with the Latte Love bundle. This is an online exclusive and I really do love this set.

I started with a Lemon Lolly card base and added the Pecan Pie layer, then the DSP from the Latte Love DSP. I stamped directly onto the DSP using Early Espresso ink. I then cut out a cup from the DSP and also cut out the coffee post using the dies. I put black coffee in the pot and added a Gold lid and handle to the pot. Placing them onto the front of the card on an angle. I finished off the front with some of the Swirl dot from the same set.

I think the gold lid and handle make the pot look a bit more up market. What do you think?

For my insert I cut some more cups and glues them to my Basic White layer added some steam and coffee stain. I mounted this onto another layer of Pecan Pie and finished it off with my message.

All the items for this project can be found either online or in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product, please feel free to contact me. At this stage I have no idea who will get this card.

Week 31 Lemon Lime Twist - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and Welcome to week 31 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop. This week our feature colour is Called "Lemon Lime Twist" and I really love this colour. It a kind of bright green, and as green is my favourite colour I didn't have to try very hard to come up with a card for you all.

I started with a Lemon Lime Twist card base and added a Mossy Meadow layer and then some DSP from the Flowering Zinnias (this is an online exclusive product). I wanted to use something that I haven't used in a while so I chose the Ice Cream Swirl bundle to create a lovely Vanilla and Lime ice cream cone.

I added a piece of card to make a stick, sticking out of the ice cream with my Happy Birthday on it, and red sprinkles on the ice cream. It look so nice I had the worst craving for ice cream after......lol   I finished off the front of the card with the sequins in the same colour.

I kept the inside of the card plain and added my Mossy Meadow layer and Basic White the stamped the cherries down the left-hand side using the blends to colour them in. I just added make a wish for my sentiment.

All the items I used for this project can be found either as an online exclusive or in the 2024-25 Stampin' up! Annual catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product of the card that I made please feel free to contact me. Likewise if you would like to purchase these product.

Week 30 Higland Heather - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 30 of the Colour Creations Blog-hop. We are an Australian team of stamper who enjoy creating and highlighting a different colour from the Stampin' Up! range each week. This week our collour is called Highland Heather, it a lovely light purple colour and I do like it very much. I have chosen to use the Attention Shoppers bundle with it this week and it went together just as I had imagined it.

I started with a Highland Heather card base and added a Blackberry Bliss layer and then the DSP from the To Market Suite. I then cut out 2 deckled circles one in Highland Heather and the other in Silver Mirror card, different sizes. I also cut out the shopping trolley in Silver and Early Espresso. I stamped 6 of the Shopping bags and coloured them in an array of different colours, piling them into the trolley.

I also stamped my message and embossed with silver embossing powder. I then mounted the trolley onto the front of the card using dimensionals. I didn't add any bling to the front of the card as I thought it would get lost among the silver mirror card.

With my insert I used another layer of Blackberry Bliss and then Basic White. Stamping my sentiment in Highland Heather and then another shopping bag that I coloured. This bundle is really great for those shopaholic's out there. All the items used in this project can be found in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. If you would like to know more about these product or my card design please feel free to contact me. Like wise if you would to purchase these product.

Week 29 Gray Granite - Colour Creations Blog-Hop 2024-25

Hello and welcome to week 29 of the Colour creations Blog-Hop. Our featured colour this week is called Gray Granite, it's not a colour I use a lot. So once again I took the the Annual catalogue for inspiration, and cased another card from the Lily Pond Lane Suite.

I started with a Gray Granite card base and added a Basic Gray layer. Using the DSP that looks like a scene to finish off the layers. As the DSP was wider than the card I cut 1 1/2 inches (3.8cm) off of each end and glued these to each end of the card and then mounted the middle section onto dimensionals to cover the middle section of the card front. I cut out some duck from the DSP and mounted them on the front as a little family. I used the Deckled Circles for the senitment. I used a dauber to brush the edges so that it wasn't so stark white and finished off with some of the dappled dot.

It may not seem like just putting middle section of the DSP up on dimensionals is much but it really did add extra dimension to the card front. I kept the inside of my card very plain the just a Basic Gray layer and Basic white. I stamped using Gray Granite inside and on the front. This again was my take on one of the cards in the catalogue and I was happy to be able to use this set.

All the items used in this project can be found in the Stampin' Up! Annual 2024-25 Catalogue. the suite is on page 45. I loved this set, but have struggled to find the right cards to make using it. But I think this has given me inspiration to use it more. If you would like to know more about this suite or how I made this card please feel free to contact me.
