Colour Creations - Merry Merlot

http://whatcathymade.com.au/art-with-heart-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-29-merry-merlot/

Hello Everyone,
Here we are at the last colour creations for the year. This week the colour is Merry Merlot a beautiful red wine colour so rich and warm looking. great for any occasion.
I have chosen to make a 3d project as I needed to finish up my Christmas goodies. So I have made 2 very easy coffee mugs and filled them with sweets for my 2 youngest god Children. Not that they are that young anymore as one will be starting year 9 and the other year 10 in the new year.
I used the Merry Merlot card for the base of the mugs and added the Dashing Along DSP and then the Gold foil for the first letter of their names. I then filled the mugs with sweets and I will make an envelope that looks like a teabag later to put the gift cards into.
These mugs are so easy to make all you need is 1 A4 sheet of card and a very small amount of DSP and of course the Envelope punch board.
This will be the last Colour Creations blog until the 8th of January 2019. So I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Safe New Year. I look forward to catching up with everyone again then.

Colour Creations - Melon Mambo

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-28-melon-mambo/
Hi Everyone, This week is Melon Mambo week I love this colour, I really am a person who loves pink and this is such a beautiful pink colour.

I have made 2 cards this week using the same stamp set. "Abstract Impressions" this is a really lovely set as well.

For my 1st card used the Melon Mambo card base and some Whisper White at the top and stamped my images in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamping I also added some DSP at the bottom from the Garden Impression pack and I used some love ribbon to finish off the front of the card.

The inside was just some simple stamping.
My 2nd card was using the Melon Mambo card base also.

This time I added 2 layers to the front of the card and then an scalloped oval using the last of my last years Sale-abration glimmer paper I used the same stamp set and once again I stamped 1st and 2nd generation. I added the butterfly with some plain pearls and my little happy birthday to finish it off. The inside was very similar to the other card just different words.
All the items except the glimmer paper and butterfly can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any of these items please call or email me so that I can help you with your purchase.

Colour Creations - Mango Melody

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-27-mango-melody/

Hi Everyone, Here we are at week 27 of the colour creations hop. This week the colour is Mango Melody, what a lovely colour even though I don't like mango's. I have made this card for my friend Frances whose Birthday in on the 17th December, and as she loves flower and has such a green thumb I thought she would like this one.

I decided to start with a Basic Gray card base and added the Slate Gray as my first layer I then added 3 more layers to the front of the card in Copper Glimmer paper, Mango Melody and Vellum. I used the Beautiful Day Stamp set and stamped the flower using versa mark and Silver Embossing powder. Then coloured in the flower using the Mango Melody Blender pens. I placed the Vellum layer of the Mango Melody layer using glue dots and place the 3 layers on an angle to add to the feature. I placed the faceted gems over where the glue dot were so that you can't see them, and stamped the Happy Birthday on the gray layer using Basic Gray ink.

For my insert I used Whisper White and stamped the flower again along with my sentiment and then used my marker pens to colour in the flower. I added the strip of glimmer paper to finish it off.
All the items used in the project can be found in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue Except for the Copper Glimmer Paper that is found in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue that ends on the 2nd January 2019. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please phone or email me so that I can help you.

Colour Creations - Lovely Lipstick

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-26-lovely-lipstick/

Well here we are again with another beautiful colour. Lovely Lipstick is such a rich Pink colour I wouldn't mind having a lipstick that colour. Today I have kept it fairly simple with no sentiment on the outside, only the floral image and some red rhinestones.

I started out with my main card being Lovely Lipstick and layered with a Whisper White that I run through my Big Shot using the Quilt Top Embossing folder. Then I took 2 layering ovals and cut them out one in each of the 2 colours mentioned above and glues them together before adding Dimensionals and placing this on the centre of the front of the card.
I stamped my image from the Healing Hugs stamp set and 3 sets of leaves before fussy cutting them out and added to the ovals on the front of the card.

I did this using more Dimensionals for the rose and them gluing the leave into place after so the I could put them just were I wanted them. I then added 3 Red Rhinestone at the top on the right-hand side and another 3 at the bottom on the left-hand side just to finish off the front of the card.

I added a Whisper White insert to the card and stamped in Lovely Lipstick using the crosses stamp from the same stamp set and also the sentiment. I don't think the front of the card really needs a sentiment as the work on the inside say it all.
Everything used in this project can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call or email so that I might help you with your purchase. Thank you.

Heart of Christmas - Week 15

https://clairedaly.typepad.com/sisterhood_of_the_travell/2018/11/heart-of-christmas-week-15-christmas-creations-bought-to-you-by-the-art-with-heart-stampin-up-team.html

Well here we are again, Hello Everyone, Week 15 and now only 4 more Wednesdays before Christmas Scary Ah?
I hope you have all finished your Christmas Shopping (Yes I have) and I have also sent all my parcels off around the world. So the only Christmas cards left to make are for my work mates. So this week I have made a really simple card, but I think it's very effective I love the way the tufted Embossing folder look on the Gold Foil Sheet.

So using up the last of the Joyous Noel DSP (which I love so much) I started with a gray granite Card base and added the Gold Foil Sheet and DSP at a 1/3 to 2/3 ratio and added the Merry Merlot & Copper Ribbon down the length to hide the join. I stamped the Christmas wishes from the Peaceful Poinsettia Stamp Set using Merry Merlot Ink and then mounted this onto another gold circle and attached this to the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Using the same stamp set I stamped the insert on Whisper White card and used Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide ink.  All the items used for the project can be found in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of the product used in the project please give me a call or email so that I can help you with your purchase. Please be aware that the 2018 Holiday Catalogue finishes on the 2nd January 2019 so you will have to get in quick.

Colour Creations - Lemon Lime Twist

http://whatcathymade.com.au/?p=3085

Hi Everyone, how are you all doing? Well I hope?
This week the colour is Lemon Lime Twist, this is a very bright colour but I love it. I decided that this week my card would be very much a 2 colour card so I used only the Lemon Lime Twist and Black. I think the effect is really good. What do you Think?

I used the Daisy Delight Stamp set and punch along with the stars from the Christmas Pines Stamp Set. and Clear faceted gems. Placing layer upon layer and finishing with a strip for my sentiment.
I stamped and punch out 3 set of the daisy so that it was a very full flower and coloured in the petals using the marker pen in the same colour.

The only bit of White Card I used was the small square on the front as I thought it gave the flower a better look and the insert.

I kept the inside of the card very simple making the outside of the card the focal point.
All the product used in this project can be found in the 2018 -2019 Annual Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call or email so that I can help you with your purchase.

Hi Everyone, Here we are at week 14 of the Heart of Christmas Blog-Hop. With only 4 more Wednesdays before Christmas not counting this one there isn't long to go now.
This week I have gone for a simple but elegant look (or at least I think so).

I started with a Gray Granite card base and added at Cherry Cobbler layer before adding 3 strips of Joyous Noel DSP. I then added a copper foil strip and a Cherry cobbler strip across the front of the card before Layering my sentiment onto Copper Foil and Cherry Cobbler.

I stamped my sentiment using the peaceful Noel Stamp set and Cherry Cobbler ink. I mounted the 3 layers together and then added dimensionals before placing this on the front of the card.

Using the same stamp set I stamped the insert using Cherry Cobbler and Tranquil Tide ink on Whisper White card.
All the items used in this project can be found in the 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue and the 2018 Holiday Catalogue, if you would like to purchase any or all of these products please give me a call or email so that I might help you with your purchase.

Colour Creations - Highland Heather

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-week-week-24-highland-heather/

Hi Everyone, here we are again with another colour creations blog for you. Today our colour is Highland Heather a beautiful lilac colour I love it.

I have chosen a stamp set that I think works really well with this colour and I have kept it very simple. I will be adding a tutorial for this card on my Facebook group so keep and eye out for it at Di's Den for Stamping Crafting and Tutorials I post a new tutorial every Sunday morning.

I started out with a Very Vanilla card base and added to large triangles using the Highland Heather card. I then layered 3 cards together starting with Very Vanilla followed by Highland Heather and lastly another Very Vanilla. I stamped the image using the Accented Blooms stamp set and coloured in the flowers using  my marker pens.

I attached dimensionals to the back of these layers before adding this to the front of the card.
I used the White organza ribbon (retired) and run it through my Highland Heather ink pad to colour it I had to wait for it to dry and then tied the bow and glue it to the front of the card. Still looking a little plain I went though my stash and fount this pretty butterfly to finish off the top of the card. I then stamped the Hello using the Highland Heather ink and again attached this to the card using dimensionals.

I kept the inside of the card simple using the Highland Heather ink to stamp the sentiment and then coloured in the small flowers using my marker pens.
All the item except the Ribbon and Butterfly can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual catalogue. If you would like to purchase any or all of these items please give me a call or email so that I can help you.

Hi All, Well here we are at week 13 of the Heart of Christmas Blog-Hop. This week I have chosen to used Items that are in the both the Annual and Holiday Catalogue.

I started with a  Cherry Cobbler card base and added a Whisper White Layer that I had run through my Big Shot using the Quilt Top Embossing folder then I Added another Cherry Cobbler layer along with a Whisper White layer for my stamped image from the Holiday Catalogue called "So Santa" I borrowed this set off of a friend's mother. I then stamped my Sentiment on some more Whisper White and using the die from the "Merry Christmas"Thinlits I cut it out and then cut another one in Cherry Cobbler and placed behind.

I mounted both my image and sentiment onto dimensionals and then place them on the front of the  card.  Oops I did colour in the Santa image using my markers first.

I kept the insert simple by just stamping on some more Whisper White the greeting and two rows of holly. I was really happy with is card and I don't want to give the stamp set back......boo hoo
I might have to get this one as well.

Colour Creations - Gray Granite

http://whatcathymade.com.au/awh-colour-creations-blog-hop-week-week-23-gray-granite/

Hi Everyone, Well we are at the end of the G's with Gray Granite, and I love it.
I have chosen to used the Beautiful You stamp set as I think it just sets it off. I started with a Gray Granite card base and add the copper foil sheet before added another layer using the Joyous Noel DSP. Even though this DSP is classed as Christmas I thought it went really well in my theme.

I then added a Early Espresso layer on an angle before adding my Whisper White Layer stamped with my lady image. I copied this over to the sentiment tag and using my White Gel pen I added a stitch line on the dark layer and on the White layer I used the Gray Granite Marker for the stitching. I finished off the front with metallic pearls.

I kept the insert very simple stamping on more Whisper White card in Gray Granite ink.

Heart of Christmas - Week 12

https://bit.ly/HeartofChristmasWeek12

Hi Everyone, Week 12 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop and only 7 week until Christmas Scary!!!!
Where has the year gone?
This week I have gone for a Classic look card and I am using the Dashing Deer Bundle yet again. (I Love it)

I have only used the Thick Very Vanilla and Gold Foil Sheet for this card and the only other colours used are Early Espresso and Tranquil Tide for the ink. Using the Swirls and Curls Embossing folder to give the front of the card just that little more depth, I really think it sets it off prefect.

I mounted my layers onto dimensionals to lift it away from the rest of the card. My mum loved this card so much she made one the same while staying with me over the weekend.

I kept the inside very simple as I just didn't think it needed much to keep the classic look.
If you would like to purchase any or all of the items used in this project you will find them in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue and the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. Please give me a call or email so that I can help you with your purchase.

Hi Everyone, Here we are at Grapefruit Grove Week: not sure of this colour, it is a beautiful colour but not one I think I would use very much.

I have chosen to use the Grapefruit Grove as my base card and added a Whisper White layer and then another layer in the Grapefruit Grove. Before added more layers on the top.
With the DSP from the Share What You Love Suite, and one of the pearl doilies.

I Finished the front of the card by stamping in Grapefruit Grove ink and adding some pearls in the same colour.

I kept the insert very simple so that the card can be used for many an occasion as I don't have any female birthdays coming up until next year now.
